As a professional cleaner, may I recommend applying a sealer onto the tiles, if they have a matte finish. ALSO- sealing the grout will prevent staining, and assist in keeping it clean. Lastly, grouting with a middle tone (grey) will also keep the floor looking consistent and neat. Best wishes! Pat in New Hampshire.
Before you start scrubbing the popcorn machine, turn it on to heat up (use a little oil, if no old is left) then carefully wipe it all down. This should remove the worst, then a steel scrubber. Don't use steel wool or brillo pads because it will be too difficult to remove the tiny particles left behind by the pads (not something you want in your popcorn). I owned a popcorn machine that was used in our video store years ago. I sold almost as many bags of popcorn as videos I rented. You guys do a great job on your channel. Started watching when you were back in the old store.
Oh this brings back so many memories. Our 1960 Plymouth wagon took us all over the United States and lower Canada. The back seats were perfect for two kids to lay down and snooze at times, and sitting in the back seat watching everything backwards was a great adventure. It was our very own space wagon!
My Dad upgraded from a '52 Dodge to this very station wagon when the family moved from Ohio to Washington State. It was also white with blue interior The seats were vinyl and had that waffle texture. I thought the fins were 'space age' in the days of Sputnik and Telstar. It was great to have a 'way back' with 4 kids and lots of luggage room. Thanks for bringing this old beauty back to life! ❤

My dad bought one of these as our family car and his daily driver. Ours was the Belvedere model, and ours had the push-button automatic transmission, and had the same 318 cubic inch engine yours has. Unfortunately, we were driving out to our family beach home out near Ventura, CA, and the engine started a horrible clatter/pounding. We exited the freeway and pulled into a service station. Mom came over to Ventura and took my Dad and I back home, and the tow truck came and fetched the car 15 miles back to our hometown and back to the local Chrysler/Plymouth dealership. A couple of days later, it was reported to my dad that the crankshaft had snapped. It was either rebuild the engine, or being 1964 by this time, Dad decided to trade the car in and get a new 1964 Plymouth Belvedere station wagon. Nowadays, I rather enjoy vintage automobiles. 1960 Plymouths still interest me, and if I didn't already have a vintage automobile, I'd try to find a nice 1960 Plymouth. I just love those huge fins! I think the only fins that are bigger are those on the 1959/1960 Cadillacs. My present "toy" is a 1955 Imperial Newport Coupe. It's completely original. Equipped with full power accessories, factory air conditioning, and original factory-option Kelsey Hayes wire wheels, it's still a very nice car. If I had room for another "toy", Id be all over your machine! I'd love to see your kiddo try to drive that three-on-the-tree! I'm old enough to have been taught through my high school's Driver Training programme to drive a shift.

Bricklin: I was in San Francisco for work a few years back and took a day to go for a walk in Muir Woods (unbelievable BTW, well worth the time!!). When I came out of the woods from my walk there were 17 Bricklins in the parking lot! A club was doing a drive through CA and stopped there - I'd never seen more than 1 at a time :)
I love this station wagon my parents had one when we were young at that time there was only 5 of kids (later 8) we would drive it from California to Indiana back then every town would close up by 5 pm so when it was time to eat you would pull over at little roadside rest cook your meal right there clean up and dad would sleep on front seat . Mom and us kids would sleep in the back with windows down no worries back in those days an when the service stations opened in the morning we fill up and continue on our way. I thank Alex for bringing those memories back to me I can show my daughters and grandsons this car and tell them this part of my life. Wow what memories we had then.😍🤩👋

One thing about the old car is that it lacks airbags, which is a safety concern in my mind. I learned to drive on a Rambler American and it had "3 on the tree," just like your column shift standard transmission.
With the long window in front hidden from sight, I think I’d put bars across it to keep from break ins. And the back door entrance to the old building, I’d put an iron gate attached to the new structure because its hidden.

They sell cleaner like puck kinda things to clean that part of the popcorn machine. Years ago we used them at a school I worked at and I can’t remember the name of the product!

If you sell popcorn in your new addition, people will buy drinks and other good items to go with it! For the fall, we love candy corn in our popcorn! Sweet and salty combo is absolutely delicious!!!
They could set up a small bar with different candy, nuts etc. and you could ask them to add whatever you want. More than one thing even. If they use coconut oil to pop it, it will smell and taste like old fashioned movie theater popcorn.
I love when you find old derelict cars and trucks and clean them up and get them running. I don't think this car is pretty but it's got those classic lines and style. I hope someone loves it and buys it and finishes it up and we get to see it.

Doesn't your bathroom door have to be wide enough for a wheelchair entry? I believe in the states, all new commercial construction has to be handicap accessible.
code states the doorway should be at least 32 inches in width. If the doorway is located in a hallway, and requires that the wheelchair be turned to pass through it, the door should measure at least 36 inches wide.
Was feeling very nervous that Alexander wasn’t wearing a seatbelt (unless it was a lap one) when he took the station wagon out for a spin. Are they a legal necessity now, regardless of the age of the car? They are in Australia so thought I would ask. The shop is coming along and I am looking forward to the good part - the decorating and fit-out. What a bonus find is the popcorn machine. I hope it goes in the new store. In the future, you may want to consider bed liner paint for the floor, it has that rough texture that would be similar to the original material.
