Short story about how powerfully sucky the Filter Queen is: I was visiting people in Vancouver, WA some 10 years after Mt. St. Helens erupted. I had a Filter Queen demo kit, including a filter insert just before the body inlet. They wanted to see the machine, so I showed them, with the extra filter in place. We cleaned most of the living room carpet, and then opened the pre-filter. There was a fine dust or powder, which I thought was that carpet “freshener” powder. The homeowners were sitting there amazed. I didn’t want to be judgemental about the use of carpet freshener so I waited for them to chime in. They looked at each other and then said: “We don’t believe it!” Turns out the fine powder was volcanic dust that had been at the bottom of their professionally cleaned and weekly vacuumed for 10 years carpet, and the Filter Queen brought out a whole bunch more of what no other machine could get. A powerful vacuum for sure.
In my youth, I tried to sell Filter Queens one summer. They really are good, but man they are expensive. The demo never put any substance on the carpet or anything, just relied on sucking up existing dirt.
