unless you want to buy a new device ever 2 years, its very important. They make apps to become unusable without updates, and updates make it necessacy to have an updated version of the operating system. So basic functions like checking email become impossible or so slow and glitchy, it will drive you batty. Of course it's all about getting as much money from you as possible. So sadly, yes the more updates provided, the more likely is you can put off the need to buy a new decice so often.
Android tablets will work fine for years after end of updates. Updates are great for getting new features, but the device will work fine without them for many years. My S4 still works with virtually everything on Android 10. I even have an Android 5 tablet that is still working with most apps. Actually with no updates they may even work better since updates can slow down devices (see iPads) at some point.
Would you seriously recommend getting a S9+ from a S7 Tab especially if you cant afford the S10ultra? Thanks for the review... God Bless... Got a new suscriber 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
One quick correction gpu scores from geekbench android and ios are not directly comparable infact snapdragon 8 gen 2 is far better in gpu than apple A14 in ipad 10th gen please look into this
I really wished that they had stuck to snapdragon... Because think about it, even if the mediatek chip is faster, but usually the issue with tablets is apps and software support. Some people tried to defend Samsung, saying the mediatek chip is cheaper, which is true, it's cheaper and better. But that savings on the chip did not translate to savings for us, sure you can say that they did not increase price despite rampant inflation, but again, these tablets are already massively over priced. Them not making it slightly cheaper, even $50 cheaper is better than nothing. I will just stick to the S9 ultra instead. It's just not worth the trouble. Also S9 ultra are now cheaper, that's true savings.
Mine has worked well. There is no difference with software for the software I use for my Tab s9 plus. The amazing thing is that the battery life and especially standby time for the new chip has been impressive. The 7 yrs OS and security update is a game changer. I use an iPad Pro, too, but you come so close to ultimate productivity with the Samsung tablets.
Im very happen with my S9 12 Gb 256 GB. I nearly bought the S9+. But i prefer the smaller size. No smaller size in these. will be another 3 years before i upgrade again. I change my tablet usually every 4 or 4 1/2 years
I trade in my S9FE plus and $600 Canadian dollar for the S10 plus on Samsung website. The battery was horrible, almost half the S9FE and screen coating made fingerprints a nightmare. I wasn't able to get a refund because my trade in was already processed. I ended up selling it and getting a S9FE plus again and lost $300 in the process. Worst Samsung tablet ever.
ouch that's really bad, thanks for sharing your experience, things have been very weird with Samsung lately, it's almost the same with s24ultra as it has worse overall screen quality and camera making the s23u a much better overall device and not worth the upgrade.
I am so glad I discovered this channel It is quickly becoming one of my favorite youtube channels. Thanks a lot for your hard work

I'm 76. Do I really need to worry about years of updates? Lol!

At this price yes - you can leave it to someone in your will ! LoL😂
Until you will be 120 years old, there's a lot of time, and you'll definitely need software updates 😎
It'll be too heavy for you to use Gramps, buy an ipad mini

I Have Another Ultra Tablet but without a notch!!! I Hope Samsung Make the Next Ultra Tablet Generation without any Obstacle like a notch!!! 👌🏻😊👌🏻

The S9+ is a bit better than the S7 but does the S7 feel slow for you? If not, it might be worth waiting another year
Samsung should make a Windows ARM version with Snapdragon X Elite SoC. I'd be more than happy to buy one despite the notch.

the trade in is what makes it worth it, trading in the s9 ultra for this came out to $188 after taxes on this black friday deals
@@knightofwind2929 yeah but the S9 Ultra is still working fantastic, there's no reason to downgrade.
@@chinaman1 mostly none, what sold me really was the 7 year upgrade, I plan on keeping it, the other stuff was extra
