I agree with a lot of points on your review, it's a powerful tablet and using Dex with an external monitor is so nice. I have been using the tablet for drawing, reading, reddit, gaming, and financial planning. I haven't had any major issues, but the app support is something I really wish Samsung and app creators would double down on. So, I just recently traded in my tab S8 ultra for a tab S10 Plus 5G. I'm really enjoying the portability of it and having cellular connectivity. I've watched a lot of reviews. I also agree with everyone else in the comment section. Great first video! Im curious as to what games you play and what emulators you use. I want to get into gaming on my tab and using it to its full potential. You should make a video of the kinds of things the tablet can do. I'd watch it ☺️ i didn't know swiping with two fingers from the side prompts multitasking mode. It's stuff like that that i am unfamiliar with considering this is my first tablet and i need to learn. Maybe a video of customizing your tablet would be nice too. Just some ideas 😉
Smooth. A little too smooth. If not for two sentences in the last minute briefly addressing the flaws in this device, I would've sworn that this was a paid infomercial. But anyway, you're right, it is a great machine, one which I find myself using far more than either my Windows laptop or my iPad Pro, although I do the bulk of my work with a desktop PC.
Awesome video Andy! Well put together with some informative points and great visuals. Been looking into a portable device for videography and you helped with narrowing my decision. Keep up the great work, excited to see more! Like maybe that nifty video camera you got!
I've been using the Tab S7+ for a few years now, to edit videos, coding, writing articles, scribing some ideas with S-Pen, and work with complex Google Sheets files. I'd say, it works just fine. The battery last longer than a laptop, so when I'm outside the machine is always with me, not my laptop.
Similar feelings here. Long time apple user, but I love the galaxy tab and android OS, it runs circles around ipad OS as far as multitasking, split screen etc. And I too prefer the aspect ratio of the screen. It's a great 'fun' device, games, entertainment, emails, etc. It can split screen apps without hesitation that an ipad simply won't allow at all. But the fact that lightroom has no filmstrip navigation makes it ok only for light photo work, no bulk editing. Ipad's version of lightroom has more features and a filmstrip for navigation and is very close to the desktop version of lightroom CC. And like you mentioned, the ipad gets a real version of photoshop, though stripped down, it has most of what you need. The fact that adobe won't bother adding this navigation filmstrip to the android version is bafflling, these devices are more than capable of handling some lighter workloads, they just don't care. For both professional work and gaming the ipad simply has more power, better graphics and frame rate settings available in a lot of games where as some of the android versions of the games have caps on frame rates and graphics which is obnoxious. I've got both the s10+ and an m4 Ipad, which I bought afterwards after being annoyed with what I mentioned above, and it does offer a better experience for professional work, but apple also made sure it can't fully compete with their computer lineups. I can't get myself to sell the galaxy tab though because android feels so liberating in comparison, it feels like it was made with user choices in mind instead of apple that feels like it forces what they want on you instead. And you get a real pointer when you connect a mouse. I hope some time in the future android is taken more seriously by developers and they stop giving only ipads all the favorable software and settings because they truly are the better device overall. I can't get myself to sell the galaxy tab despite having the ipad because it does things the ipad can't and I really enjoy the user interface and customizable settings.

If you're using a Sony camera, these are the highest quality file types that natively come out of it. While you could use other codecs, you'd be making pretty big sacrifices in quality and color depth. If you're using your phone or a camera that uses more compatible and compressed file types, then you could have a better experience. The best apps I've found so far are Capcut and Lumafusion on Android. Ultimately, though, if you want to produce the highest quality video, it's ideal to be able to natively interface with professional codecs. 😁
@ I thought that’s what you would say. I’m figuring you must be doing some video editing for clients and other things besides just TH-cam then. If it’s just for TH-cam videos, then you don’t need the highest quality video. TH-cam’s gonna compress the video anyway so what’s the difference when I’m just using more compatible video file?
@PLANETWATERMELON in that case you're right, this device is powerful and can work for some video editing! The problem I find is that then you're limited to Android OS compatible apps. It all depends on what you're trying to make and how you like to edit.
hey bro i just found your channel, you earned a subscriber i am veryyyy curious to know about in what positions can we place this tablet just at a angle to write, as i am thinking to buy exactly what you have, s 10 plus tablet with slim keyboaard cover, i am gonna carry it with always case on and i gonna need to take a lot of notes frequently, i will be highly oblige to you making a short or something showing different positions that can this tablet be placed with that slim keyboard cover on to take notes thank you brother❤
@user193ifkfla the keyboard is great but it really only gives you the option for the one angle you see in the video. It can also be folded over completely flat though, which is the way I would use it for writing. Hope that's helpful!
@andyrighteous @andyrighteous bro there are more options you can use it, i saw it in Thao Huynh video of s10 plus review at 01:34 seconds, i meant this bro btw thank you for replying, would be thankful if i could get to see in video 😊😇
I just picked up the Galaxy S10 Ultra, and it's absolutely a powerhouse in every aspect. Time will tell if my laptop will be removed from my daily carry backpack.
I wanted to ask because you mentioned one of the downsides being that the S10+ does not have a track pad on the book cover keyboard slim, however Samsung has also released the regular book cover keyboard for the S10+ which does have an inbuilt trackpad too, so wanted to ask you if that would make a big difference if you're in Dex mode? And one more thing how do you navigate the cursor in Dex mode without a trackpad on the slim book cover keyboard? Also loved your video, very high and clear audio and picture quality, keep it up brother🔥
Thank you! While there are keyboard covers that include trackpad I find it usually forces the actual keys to be a little too small to comfortably type on. In dex mode you can still use it with the S-pen and same touch functions as normal. When it's connected to a monitor you can use the tablet itself as a trackpad for dex. Using a wired usb-c or wireless mouse will also work to give you a cursor
I have the book cover and I want to replace it with a book cover that has a trackpad, mainly because the entire keyboard part is detachable, making it much easier to use in horizontal mode without having to remove the back cover. i hate having to either remove the cover or fold they keyboard behind the tablet when using it in that mode
@andyrighteous I had an S22U and a S24U. I was the biggest Z Fold critic until I held one in my hand and whilst I used a tablet extensively, I had never thought that the Z Fold was a tablet and phone replacement, just a phone replacement and I could never justify the price. The Z Fold replaced my S22U, tablet, and it's on the way to replacing my S24U.
@mikelthewug they're really awesome phones, and I think the Z Fold 7 might finally do it for me. There are some features the S24U just has the Z Fold 6 beat in. But the convenience of flipping your phone open any time for that tablet experience is such a fun and new innovation.
Lol true, and at 200 dollars the Playstation portal is pretty good if that's all you want to do. The beauty of it is that this can do everything the portal does and more!
@gk0109ak totally agree about the aspect ratio! The only other factor I'd consider for note-taking is that the Tab feels a little more precise when writing. Ipad uses double layer glass that can make it feel like the pen is floating above where it writes.
pretty good information video, but i still got a galaxy tab s7 plus and it does all the thing that the tab s10+ does... if you want a first tablet the tab s7 plus is a good way to start
I use mine in conjunction with my Lenovo ThinkPad. Tablets still aren't full laptop replacements unless you're using programs that aren't as heavy on CPU and GPU ussage. My S10+ is for entertainment and note taking. Going back to college for a degree in accounting. While in the short term the S10+ would probably work for classes, it won't work once i have a a job in the profession.
@davidfence6939 that's true, personally I think it's awesome that you can use it as a portable monitor with your laptop too. So much better than carrying around a portable monitor that can't do anything else.
In reality though, once most people hit the career job that requires a computer, the job provides the device anyways, so any tablet chosen during school will become much more sidelined by default.
Tabs can really be used for productivity, just don't expect them to be the same as a laptop that has Windows OS. I use excel a lot, and Windows lets me use several Excel's at the same time, but I can't do that on my tab S9 U. Also, some functions are limited or just different, so you have to get used to it.
@andyrighteous if you have Microsoft 365, you can open one Excel file through the Excel app, and another Excel file through the 365 app, but that's it.
I have this S10+ for dealing with everything but docs. I have my ancient but trusty, ultraportable Surface Go 1 solely for docs. Because only Windows version of Excel can run macros.
@andyrighteous Thanx Can you make a review about performance please We need a detailed review about heavy tasking and heat issues, emulators and for how long can i run heavy tasks without cpu throttling and performance drop
The only thing I don’t like about tablets, which I have solely been using over laptops in recent years, are the keyboards. Apple is close with the overhanging screen idea, but I can’t stand the idea that I always need a flat surface to work with the keyboards on any tablet. The main keyboard these companies market should be as close to a normal laptop as possible since some cost as much as $350.
I totally agree! Most keyboards are lacking, the one in this video I've found pretty good, but still a bit flexible, so not the best for what you're talking about. I know there are third parties that have made more rigid keyboards for this tablet, extremely similar to the version Apple makes.
there are no device that can replace a windows laptop for me personally, especially for excel, it's kinda crazy if you ask me. also my issue with the entire tab s10 lineup it's using a last gen chip charging extra premium prices, that's a big issue
Actually, there is a version of the 256gb Tab S10+ available with 5g! Unfortunately that's the only model from the S10 series that supports it, which I agree is a strange decision.
I hear you, and I can't speak for the future, but tbh this processor noticeably outperforms my S24 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Even the latest Snapdragon chips being used in tablets only slightly outperforms this one. Honestly, I feel we're not seeing a big enough improvement between what they're calling "next gen" all around, ya know what I mean?
@andyrighteous we shall see in the coming software updates if the device can keep up. The chip's got a upper hand in performance but I am not seeing much device with mediatek chip's confirming 5-7 year software support.
@@andyrighteous thank you, im fully switching this year from apple to samsung ❤️ Loved your genuine review of the product and wish you keep this style and presentation to your following videos, new subscriber!
Tablets are powerful, but the software isn't there. I love my Samsung S9 but the fact some websites don't work on Android sucks. GDocs is faaaar better on PC than on Android, and I type quite regularly on Android!
Good catch! you're totally right, that's my bad. Though, the only major difference is the clock speed of up to 3.4GHz compared to the 3.25GHz on the original 9300. Which does actually push the clock speed slightly past the 3.3GHz of the SnapDragon 8 Gen 3.
I love mine. It is my laptop... It's all I need 95% of the time. If I occasionally need a "real computer", I have my Mac Mini at my desk standing ready.
@Huma9ty the aspect ratio, the way it connects with windows and Android devices, and the multi tasking. Check out the ecosystem, media viewing, and productivity sections of the video 😁
@ i did watch the entire video but in think only thing which it has upper hand in , is aspect ratio rest all could be done better on ipad but i respect your opinion. i find lack pf optimisation as a bug problem for instance goodnotes is 1000x better on ipad etc . plus i think when you use pencil to search on third party apps the blue color and huge latency sucks and there r some other issues as well overall i find ipad os more optimised and stable. (my dad own s9 + which he and i find too inferior to the pro m4 which i own)

iPad 4:3 aspect ratio makes it really a notebook , if your priority is media consumption go with this. But iPad aspect ratio is best for note taking.
@gk0109ak totally agree about the aspect ratio! The only other factor I'd consider for note-taking is that the Tab feels a little more precise when writing. Ipad uses double layer glass that can make it feel like the pen is floating above where it writes.
We want more videos from your channel . Your quality is awesome
pretty good information video, but i still got a galaxy tab s7 plus and it does all the thing that the tab s10+ does... if you want a first tablet the tab s7 plus is a good way to start
True, even older Galaxy Tabs are great devices!
I totally agree, but I didn't know it limited Excel functions. That's unfortunate.
I've heard this about Excel. Shame they didn't just put the full version of Excel on tablets!
Doea it need a screen protector or the main screen is resistent to scratch
The screen is actually quite scratch resistant. I just use one because tablets always get so many fingerprints 😂
@andyrighteous
Thanx
Can you make a review about performance please
We need a detailed review about heavy tasking and heat issues, emulators and for how long can i run heavy tasks without cpu throttling and performance drop
Bro your video quality and subsidised count doesn't match, i wonder what you will give when you hit million subscribers, all the best bro 👍🙌
@@Bhaskaran_pillai thanks bro!! 😁
there are no device that can replace a windows laptop for me personally, especially for excel, it's kinda crazy if you ask me. also my issue with the entire tab s10 lineup it's using a last gen chip charging extra premium prices, that's a big issue
That's a fair take, though there is a mobile app available for excel. Have you tried it? I'm not familiar with it myself
The link for the tablet stand?
@Big1Papi1
Here you go, and link in the description now 😁
amzn.to/4abOXws
Does the s pen really needed to be charged?
You only need to charge it for the wireless functions with the buttons. It still works when not charged!
it dosnt matter at all. it charges when placed on the back of the tabet.
If only it had 5G
Actually, there is a version of the 256gb Tab S10+ available with 5g! Unfortunately that's the only model from the S10 series that supports it, which I agree is a strange decision.
Genuinely so shocked this is your first video. Its so well shot and the information is expressed very well!
You're too kind, thank you! 😁
What is your controller?
The two controllers shown in the video are the Gamesir G8+ and Tarantula Pro!
Should've come with the snapdragon processor. I am doubtful mediatek can take software load next generation as it is supposed to.
"What good is tech if you dont make the most out of it." -listen to that, APPLE!
If only! 😂
Hi what is the controller called?
@soranonsese6273 the controller that fit around the tablet is the Gamesir G8 Plus. The other controller is the Gamesir Tarantula Pro
@andyrighteous thanks man
Is it good for medical students??or normal laptop would be better?
I would think it is! It's a great device for note taking, organization apps, multi-tasking, and viewing books digitally. 😁
@andyrighteous thank you sir♥️
*Watching this on my galaxy tab s10 ultra, coming from an ipad pro 12" M1.*
Hope you're happy with the switch!
@@andyrighteous thank you, im fully switching this year from apple to samsung ❤️
Loved your genuine review of the product and wish you keep this style and presentation to your following videos, new subscriber!
Yep, traded my s9 plus for an s10 Ultra only because of the free keyboard.. I absolutely love it.
They were offering a really great trade in deal on the S9 Plus, hope you got to take advantage of that!
@@andyrighteous Yes, sure did.
Cool video. I just gor my s9 fe to olay with as well
Thanks! The FE editions are an incredible value, great pick 😁
I just got mine today. But the display looks weird it looks like a negative film.
Hmmm, that's strange. Have you checked your display settings? Could be the color mode or the "eye comfort shield" settings.
@andyrighteous I already fixed it ,thanks for your reply.
The S10 + charges in 50 minutes with a 45W charger and a 100W USB-C cable.
Battery life and charging are great on it 😁
Ok andrea 😂 just kidding. Great video so far
😂
Tablets are powerful, but the software isn't there. I love my Samsung S9 but the fact some websites don't work on Android sucks. GDocs is faaaar better on PC than on Android, and I type quite regularly on Android!
It really is unfortunate! Then, there are also ARM devices that run full windows, but they even have compatibility issues too
Daily reminder the s pen doesn't need charge to work, only to use Bluetooth capabilities
@@petitos50 it has seemed to confuse a lot of people!
These visuals are sexy
@DriedKelp1212 thanks king 👑
It's mediatek 9300+ (plus)
Good catch! you're totally right, that's my bad. Though, the only major difference is the clock speed of up to 3.4GHz compared to the 3.25GHz on the original 9300. Which does actually push the clock speed slightly past the 3.3GHz of the SnapDragon 8 Gen 3.
If only we could use extensions in chrome
@@rohitdev6758 if only 😂 it sounds like it should be so easy
I love mine. It is my laptop... It's all I need 95% of the time. If I occasionally need a "real computer", I have my Mac Mini at my desk standing ready.
Love that! Sounds like a great system 😁
Include some affiliate links for us bro.
If only I qualified for any!
actually I figured out how to do it, thanks for the reminder!
Samsung galaxy s10 ultra tablet black fe 5g plus pro lope model 2026
I like the S10 tablet but it's as expensive or moreso than some Windows gaming laptops.
That's true, the biggest benefit is that it's lightweight. It just depends on what you want to do with your device!
Nice hair 😅
@Okamine lol thank you!
I thought this can replace a laptop for the purpose of coding but you need an Intel processor for best compatibility
Ah, unfortunately I don't know the most about coding. Someone earlier did say they use this for coding though!
i got 3 ads i skip the video
Ipad better
ipad is tuna
The bezels are horrendous.
For the price of s10 plus u can lit buy ipad pro m4
@@Huma9ty you're not wrong, but there are definitely some ways I like this device better!
@ what are those may i please know?
(my dad own s9 + which he and i find too inferior to the pro m4 which i own)
@@andyrighteous of course everyones need and preferences are different so 😃
