You know, I'm just in awe that they found some way for Tom Cruise to do his running in this movie
he looks good running
😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
You are so right!! It wouldn’t be a Tom cruise movie if he wasn’t Running in it some how. 💯
I'm in awe that tom cruise wasnt completely dis likable in this like he is in EVERY other movie and in person
😂😂😂😂😂 oml that man stay taking a full sprint
How Regina did that part…always gets me. Small, but such a personal delivery.
Hard to believe she’s been around for close to 40 years to since 227
"My whole life is this family, Jerry. It does not work without him."
Love how Cuba is holding the rock tight even though he is "out". really nice touch from a quality actor.
"You know what? Get the hell out of my house!" Love that line because there's always some wannabe in the family who thinks they could better. 😆
You took it much better than I would have because I would have just punched her head off
This was my brother when I used to hoop
Lmao there was nobody like that in my family 😂😂😂😂
No. Teepee cool. (Mum) just overreacts to others criticising the golden child. My family would laugh too if I got KO’d on Tele
What a perfectly cast movie. The male leads (Cruise and Cuba) and the female leads (Renee and Regina) were perfect.
I agree! It was the best casted movie ever.
“Casted” movie does not exist.
@@Uns_Maps_8 🥱
They even got support actors that look exactly like their Dallas Cowboys counterparts!
FFS, the past tense of "cast" is "cast."
Rods brother is superb as that loser sibling from a successful family who criticises everything despite offering zero to the family or society.
But still expects a handout..
I think that's Ares Spears from Mad TV
I can tolerate most of it, but when he's still trash-talking his brother when possibly paralyzed for life, and in front of the man's wife no less...He deserved a bigger beating than he got.
They're called the Black Sheep of the family and they contribute way more than zero in most families. But I understand your comment
@@pollypockets508 you're right ✅
"I'm all heart, motherf--ker!!" God, I love that scene. 🥰
I love the fact that Rod laying there still has a hold of that football 🏈
Don Beebe did the same thing when he helicoptered by two defensive backs. Beebe went unconscious but somehow held onto the ball for a great catch.

1996: He's alive! 2023: 15 yard penalty: excessive celebration and off to the blue medical tent. 😃
Oh for sure he’s not playing another down for the rest of game today lol
When he got hammered and he caught the pass and he didn't get up, that was scary. But when he got up, it was a triumph and this scene. When he got up and celebrated, he celebrated, so he didn't get injured. He really enjoyed his life The short time he celebrated. A great scene about human spirit.
That part when Cuba got up running on the field and through the crowd was everything... Got me over here cheering like I'm there...😂😂😂
Cubas, Reginas and Toms performance still make me cry in this scene....
Aries Spears was mad underrated as well.
Facts 😭
I loved the way the piano and chords hit when he snaps awake.
Regina King doesn't get the credit she deserves.
Her performance in this movie was outstanding
she was amazing
You lost your mind? The woman has an amazing top tier career. Numbnuts
Who is Regina King?
@@1000mg. wow. She plays Cuba's wife in the movie
@@1000mg. Haven't got a clue. lol
Rod was LOVING EVERY MOMENT of this! 😂😂 Great scene and film!
i remember when i saw this when i was little. when he said, “no wait. just let me enjoy this for a minute.” i got so fired up. then he started to get up. then the crown went crazy. then got to his feet. and when he break danced in his full game uniform, it was one of those remarkable movie moments for me
"There's good doctors on the field..." Doctors clapping, no neck collar and go like "come on wake up" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It was weird "check his neck, maybe his back?" Reminds me when trying to fix a computer and checking why is not booting up "Check if the hard drive is connected, maybe the ram?"
For those saying Cuba was too small for a WR, he was roughly the same height as Steve Smith Sr, who was also only 5'9" and sub-200. It's tough to play the position that "small" but not impossible, Smith was a real one when he played
He’s a man ..
steve smith was also 25lbs bigger
It's only small in nfl
It’s a movie suspend your disbelief, it ain’t that serious anyways 😂
@ivanrenard3153 I was talking about the individuals who claim it’s completely out of the realm of possibilities the Cuba couldn’t be a NFL receiver cause he was too small… I believe it brother lol
He's an entertainer! He's more than an athlete! He just took that moment and held on to the microphone refusing to let go and forced the t.v. camera's to all be on him for extended play through national commercials! The man knows how to sell! He does not need to be jobbing for nobody!
He still had a hold of that football 🏈
This is a scripted movie...
@@spilledit Your just a regular Einstein. Big Mensa Man I bet.
Jerry actually called Rod's wife, let that character insight sink in a minute.
Trust in your Agent/Teammates is a sacred partnership.
jay mohr playing a snaky little thief feels right for his standup career.
"Check his neck, could be his neck, could be his back" Sounds like when you start checking why your computer doesn't starts.
6:23 gets me teared up every time.
Absolutely! At the moment he hears one of his fans shout out "We love you Rod!" then opens eyes when his coach clapped his hands and rest was completely heartfelt
And that sound
He did Deions signature dance after he scored on Deion…..cold blooded.
Nah Deion was 21.
It's....It's not real
@@pollypockets508 It’s…it’s ok that it’s not real, they…they can still enjoy the scene without you being a condescending ass about it. (Well, I mean, apparently not, but they should be able to).
Nope....Prime is #21
People always said this when the movie came out, but prime was never depicted in this movie. Even Emmitt Smith and Troy Aikman had cameos, which was a nice touch to the movie and adds a sense of realism to a fictional character, but they never showed Deion and there was no #21 in the frame where he caught the td.
Tom Cruise always finds a way too run in all his movies.😂😂
“You can’t catch me gay thoughts”!
Steven Seagal runs like a woman in some of his films.
It's not a Tom Cruise movie if he doesn't get to run at a given point.
Facts
He has decent speed from what this clip showed.
Regina looked really good in this movie. It's easy to forget that she's been in front of the camera in 5 decades
Best scene in the movie! I really felt Marcy's scene when she was talking to Jerry on the phone.
That movie has three Oscar winners, Tom Cruise a great soundtrack with a great Springsteen song and Cameron Crowe directing…
That movie is a jewel!!!!
Tom Cruise has never won an Oscar. Cuban Gooding Jr. won for best supporting actor. Which Edward Norton should have won for Primal Fear.
@@prall0915 nobody wrote Tom Cruise had won any Oscar... but still there are three Oscar winners in that movie... check your facts...!!!
Did Edward Norton won that Oscar???? Yes? No? So that still makes three Óscar winners in that movie... and im talking about actors and actress categories...
@adolforuizsalazar51 Try reading your first comment. YOU mentioned Tom Cruise. You lumped everything together! Who are the three Oscar winners? Learn to express yourself better. 🙄
I would argue that it should've gone to William H. Macy. Gooding gave a good performance, but Oscar worthy? No. Macy and/or Norton got robbed. This was similar to when Sean Connery won for The Untouchables when the Oscar should've gone to Albert Brooks for Broadcast News.
Tom was legit robbed. Captain Barbossa won for some movie that barely anybody watched back then and definitely nobody watched since then.
"We love you Rod" - the epiphany of the film.
I like when Marcee slaps the crap out of Teepee for not supporting his brother!
That is great acting right there.
He was just keeping it real haha
When "keeping it real" goes wrong
Cuba where you been at my guy? We need more of your acting in our lives!!
Have you watched Lightning Jack? Paul Hogan and Cuba
sex assault charge... google it
The scene with all the Cowboys legends like Deion Sanders and Emmitt Smith gives me chills
Those might have been clips from a real cowboy's cardinals' game. All that double teaming
Back in the day, when fantasy football was all done on paper instead of online, I traded Rod Tidwell for Jerome Bettis. The guy never lived it down
😂 that killed me
Lol death
🤣
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
The Bus vs a fictional character
I love this scene it never gets old
Crowe's films really hold up - Jerry McGuire and Fast Time at Ridgemont High...They were iconic films of their times and seem to get better with age.
“Fast Times” was directed by Amy Heckerling; Crowe wrote it though which I assume is what you meant
Vanilla Sky, I hear you.
Concussion rules have changed a lot 😂
The Steelers play with the old rules
@ 4:30 Tom Cruise contractual "running at full speed" scene LOL

Marcy's actress does a great characterization. She is as good as Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding Junior, etc. in this movie.
Awwh.. the Aikmen, Emmit, and Sanders days. I reminisce of the days of the Cowboys playing in Super Bowls.
Don't forget Iriving
Today we have to see Dak running the ball with no time left.
Gross
Epic times.
I still get choked up watching this.
Regina desperate cry really hit hard..even though ive watched this movie many times i still felt that…perfect casts..
Tom has to make his iconic run.
Loyalty is the the most valued natural element on the planet. You can dig the most deepest core of this planet to find gold, diamonds but can’t dig deep enough to find fundamental building block of pure loyalty
I bet Regina going after Aries was all improvised.
Na, it was natural.. theres always that 1 family member who is a h8er

"In Rod We Trust"
I would love to see the sequel to this movie, covering Rod Tidwell with CTE
Cool movie. A long term favourite! Cuba Gooding Jr brilliant!
I've had two concussions and I don't remember dancing around after either one of them. In fact, I barely remember one at all.
I think they used some shots from the 1995 DAL-AZ game in Phoenix which was the last MNF game of the season. Cowboys & Cardinals were once in the same division… NFL geography was a little messed up until realignment in 2002
Emmitt Smith breaks the then single-season record for rushing TDs in a season
Cowboys clinch the NFC-1 (thanks to the Falcons beating the 49ers the previous day)
This was Buddy Ryan’s final game as a head coach
About a month later, the Cowboys were back in this same stadium winning Super Bowl XXX
Is it any weirder than Dallas being in the same division as Washington, NY, and Philly? It's great for the rivalries, history, and matchups but in terms of geography -- a tad nuts.
Nunca me cansaré de volver a verla.
Such an excellent take on the hero's "false" death and rebirth.
Subtle victory’s are more realistic and relatable. Great film.
We got the best doctors on the field

Michaels, Dierdorf and Gifford were fantastic.
Could you imagine Chris Collinsworth or Joe Buck chewing up the scene with their asshattery if they made this today?!
@@NWAWskeptic Collinsworth makes me go look for the game on the radio.

Still 1:07 left with the 15 yard penalty on the kickoff - most likely Aikman leads Dallas back to win. Bad decision by Rod to taunt there. Hope it doesn't cost him his big contract extension.

This film has 3, count 'em, THREE, Academy-Award winning actors in it. When Tom wins his, I'll buy my diamond copy of this dvd. hehe
And a script by an Oscar-winning screenwriter.
Tom Cruise probably should have won best actor for this movie
Marcy pieced TP up 🤣🤣🤣
Cracks me up the way she starts hitting him lol.
"And if I got to ride your ass like Zorro; you gon' show me the money!" *My favorite line in the movie!* I think I quoted it accurately; haven't seen it in awhile!
Cameron Crowe is an absolute genius.
Why do you say that, did he cure cancer or just make a film.
@@markshaw2009 A film that touches the human spirit. Should've won Best Picture at the Oscars. Instead they decided to choose an independent film at the time called 'The English Patient'. I got no qualms on Michael Ondaatje. But really?
