I wear what I like when I like and do not worry about what outsiders think, I am not out to impress anyone. However, I like to keep clean but that is for me and my lovely husband, he loves how I smell and how I look and what I wear so I must be doing something right.
I'm 75. I'm comfy in skinny jeans and sweatshirts or tee shirts. I still love nice perfumes and hot bubble baths. I dress for myself and what looks clean and comfy. I don't feel I must look like I'm ready for a coffin.
This video really resonates with me. The idea of simplifying life as we age and focusing on comfort, dignity, and meaningful connections is so valuable. I appreciate the reminder to prioritize quality and avoid unnecessary frills, whether it’s in clothing or celebrations. And the part about avoiding certain places, like cemeteries or unfamiliar spots, really hit home - it’s about preserving peace and emotional well-being. Thank you for these gentle, wise reminders on how to live gracefully in our golden years. 😊

I’m 70 years old. I’ve always been a blue Jean and T-shirt guy. And in the winter I wear flannel shirts that’s my wardrobe. Sometimes I even wear a pair of cowboy boots. But mostly tennis shoes.👍😁
That's a fantastic attitude! Embracing your personal style and wearing what makes you happy is a great way to express yourself and live authentically. Confidence in your choices can inspire others to do the same. Keep being true to yourself! 🌟😊

This video was an eye-opener! 👀 I hadn’t thought much about how certain clothes, places, or even the way we celebrate birthdays could impact health and safety at my age. When you mentioned avoiding certain fabrics that can be uncomfortable or risky, it made me reconsider some of my own wardrobe choices! 👗✨
Thank you for your insightful comment! 👀 I’m so glad to hear that the video opened your eyes to how clothing and our surroundings can impact health and safety. It’s fascinating how our wardrobe choices can play a role in our comfort and well-being! What changes are you considering making in your wardrobe? We’d love to hear your thoughts and any new insights you’ve gained! 👗✨
That sounds like the ideal comfort wear! 😊 Soft, breathable fabrics that are easy to slip on and off really make a difference when it comes to relaxation at home. Whether lounging around, reading, or simply enjoying some quiet time, having the right clothes definitely adds to the peaceful experience. Comfort is key! 🌿
Lol...I'm 72, a woman and I dress just like I did in my thirties. Jeans, long hair and sandals...or boots in the colder weather. Almost everyone thinks that I'm in my early 50's. That works for me 👍 I never leave home without a shower, clean shiny hair which is still my natural color. My make-up is very natural and I have perfect teeth. I take very good care of myself. Now all I need is a 50 something boyfriend or a Young 70's guy as a play pal 😊 After all...70 is the New 50...!!
You go, girl! Age is just a number, and you're living proof of that. Love your confidence and style - it's clearly working for you! Keeping that youthful spirit and taking care of yourself is the best anti-aging secret. Rock those jeans and long hair! And hey, with your attitude, I'm sure you'll find that perfect play pal in no time. Keep shining and showing the world that 70 is indeed the new 50! 💃🏼✨😎
I am with you with what you’re saying. My husband’s conservative taste, be simple but presentable. Don’t like revealing clothes. Accessories will also enhance your look like scarf, simple jewelry. Wherever we need to go, we receive complements on how we dressed. When we look good, we smell good , we feel good.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences! 😊 It's wonderful to hear that you and your husband have found a style that works so well for both of you. Simplicity and elegance truly go hand in hand, and you're absolutely right-when we look good, we feel good! 💖 Keep shining and inspiring others with your timeless style! ✨
I am 74 and love wearing clothes that are beautiful, well-cut, in cotton, linen, pure wool, and silk clothes. I buy them nearly all second-hand but really good quality. I love to wear clothes that suit my mood and what I have to do that day. I still work full-time and run an NGO assisting trafficked people. I am a trauma therapist. Let's also all still have fun as we age and dare to make a statement about who we are, without being too flamboyant or wearing clothes that really would only suit us when we 16. I was very untidy as a teenager and well into my 20s and wore very short skirts, see-through blouses, jeans, and a crumpled shirt. Now I enjoy the art of dressing well and gracefully. I do not agree with the speaker that we should not be daring and depending on who we are and what is realistic take moderate risks as we age. Let's see how things go into the next decade.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful perspective! 🌟 Your approach to fashion and life is truly inspiring, especially your dedication to both your personal style and the incredible work you do. I appreciate your thoughtful insights, and I agree that embracing who we are as we age, while staying daring in a balanced way, is a beautiful philosophy. Let's all continue to express ourselves and have fun along the journey! 😊
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I'm really glad the messages resonate with you and other seniors. It's a privilege to share these lessons, and I hope they continue to bring value and inspiration. Wishing you all the best on your journey! 🌟🙏
I suggest a hobby. Something you can relax and do at home. My hobby is a hobby. I have always had as a young adult. In 1974 I bought my first guitar. I am 71 years old. I can’t fluently read finger style guitar music. I picked up a guitar at the age of 22 a little late in life, but I’m 71 years old. I have been playing for 51 years all my old favorite rock songs. I sat at home and played them all all by myself solo instrumentally People say wow you’re one hell of a guitar player. It was a lot of hard work. There were times where I almost gave up but a quitter never gets anywhere so the best thing for something to do find a hobby. You can do at home and love it that’s what I did. Have a great day.👍😁🎸🎼🎵🎶🎸❤️ I love music🎼🎵🎶😎
Wow, that's inspiring! 51 years of rocking out on guitar - now that's dedication! It's never too late to start a hobby, and yours has clearly brought you so much joy. You're absolutely right, finding something you love and sticking with it can be life-changing. Keep on jamming! 🎸🤘😎

I'm 77 and still wear slim cut jeans, tee shirts and sneakers/jogging shoes. A decent jersey in cold weather. Shave shower and shampoo daily, I don't have haircuts and wear a pony tail. No one complains and if they do I don't care. I like being myself.
Thank you for sharing your inspiring perspective! 🌟 It’s wonderful to see how confidently you embrace being yourself. Your attitude toward self-expression is something we can all learn from. Keep shining and doing you! 👏😊
I’m 84 and really couldn’t care less what people think or say of me. I care more of how GOD see me. I’m a Christian and just I wears modest and simple clothes. I just want to make sure that at the end of my life, I’m worthy enough to have eternal life when Gods calls me home. 🙏❤️🙏
Thank you so much for sharing your heartfelt perspective! 🙏 It’s inspiring to see how grounded you are in your faith and values. Focusing on how God sees you and living a life of modesty and simplicity is truly beautiful. Wishing you peace and strength on your journey! ❤️😊
I like clothing in layers that camaphafhas the body. This can easily done in cooler weather but still possible when it's wamer. In warmer weather, a loose woven shirt also works. A little jewelry can make you feel put together, and can be a little expression of who you are.
Great tips! Layering is such a smart way to dress, no matter the weather. It's all about comfort and personal style. Love the idea of using loose fabrics in warm weather - so practical! And you're spot on about jewelry - it's those little touches that can really make an outfit feel complete and uniquely you. Keep rocking your style! 👚👕💍😊
I am 76-years-old, and I hand stitch all of my clothes. I feel that at my age I no longer need to follow any fashion except what is most comfortable for me. I wear simple cotton gowns, ankle length, and that harken back to the early 1900s. They are always comfortable, and I nearly always receive compliments on what I am wearing.
I’m an 83 YO man. My wardrobe is constantly refreshed with new clothes, mainly shirts and slacks. My wardrobe is highly interchangeable. Before I leave for any occasion, I look into a full length mirror. If any single item of dress immediately catches my eye, I reconsider wearing it and change it without hesitation. Then , I take another look and ask “ do I really like myself? “ If the answer is a strong “yes !”, out the door I go , fully confident that I look the very best that I can. That is the very last time I think of my appearance the entire while I’m out.
That's a fantastic approach to dressing! At 83, you've clearly mastered the art of looking good without overthinking it. Your system of interchangeable pieces and that final mirror check is brilliant. It's all about feeling confident and comfortable in what you wear. Once you're out the door, you can focus on enjoying life instead of worrying about your appearance. Keep rocking your style! 👔👌😎
I was told how ugly I was by guys in my neighborhood, from the ages of 12 to 17. I ate the jabs and insults like Desert. I dressed conservatively; shaved; kept my hair cut. I did not like myself. About age 60 l went to the last service of an evangelical event and God touched me. As a result of that encounter, I now like myself. I listen more. I do not dress or seek to please others. Hallelujah! I listen more than I speak. I am listening to your advice. I will be 80 soon. ❤What I read in several of the comments is godly wisdom❤❤.❤❤
At this age, many people start to prefer experiences over material gifts. A special outing, like a day trip to a nearby place you’ve always wanted to visit or tickets to a concert or show, could make for a memorable birthday. Alternatively, a spa day or relaxing massage could offer a rejuvenating experience.
That’s such a thoughtful perspective! 🎉 At this stage in life, experiences truly become more meaningful than material things. A special outing or a relaxing day at the spa sounds like the perfect way to celebrate and create lasting memories. It’s those shared moments that we hold onto and cherish the most. 😊🌿
I’ll be 70 this December. But I still will visit the graves of my heroes, to reflect, and hope I can possibly measure up to them, with the time I have left.
That's truly touching. Honoring your heroes at 70 shows such depth of character. It's never too late to be inspired and strive for greatness. Your reflection and aspiration are admirable. Here's to making the most of every moment we have! 🕯💪🌟
I will be 72 my next birthday. I was born in 1953. I live with my fiancé grandchildren. The lady that passed away at 68 years old. The kids once in a while like to give me a little party. I do accept it because I know they care about me. And I do appreciate it just so long as they don’t go overboard and they have it yet and I’m glad they didn’t.👍😁
That's so sweet! It's wonderful that you have such a caring family. Birthdays can be a mix of emotions, especially as we get older. It's great that you appreciate their gestures while also keeping things low-key. Here's to many more happy years with your loved ones! 🎂🤗
Well as I near 70 now , I’ve got this pretty much handled. I’m a life long bachelor and few relatives left and they live far away. Clothes well being a retired heavy duty diesel mechanic and OTR truck driver casual is the order of the day. Straight legged blue jeans and carhartt T-shirts. In the winter I swap out the T-shirts for long sleeve flannel shirts that I get at an industrial clothing and accessories online store. They have great stuff and on occasion Costco. Years ago I purchased a hole lot of winter long sleeve shirts at Costco and they carried them every year but they haven’t in the last few years and they where from field & Stream. I’m pretty much a home body now so I don’t dress up and go out like I used to because I dropped my membership in fraternal organizations so no need to look good at year events on the calendar. Then about my birthday. I really never celebrated it after 10 or 11 when mom would bake my favorite cake. I hated the attention letting people know about your birthday. I’d always tell them 2 days after the fact. I just don’t like the clown show that surrounds it. I really don’t like to travel unless it’s on the company credit card because it’s so expensive. If I’m out on the road driving I budget for 300.00 dollars per day ouch. That’s why I liked OTR truck driving, seeing the country on the company dollar. I live 100 miles from the coast and occasionally I have to go to the coast in business. It’s a 1 day round trip. Paying upwards of at a minimum 180.00 per night and remember I’m single and the motel rates are usually for double occupancy I have to negotiate a single person rate and to think my own bed is 100 miles away now you see why-?, besides doing 200 miles in a day for a retired truck driver, peace of cake. Well that’s my 4 bits on how I roll😃👍.
Sounds like you've got life figured out, my friend! Your no-nonsense approach to clothing and lifestyle is refreshing. Those Carhartt tees and flannel shirts are classics for a reason. It's great that you've found what works for you and stick to it. Your perspective on birthdays and travel is pretty relatable - nothing beats the comfort of your own bed! Thanks for sharing your "4 bits" - it's always interesting to hear how others roll. Keep enjoying that simple, practical life you've crafted! 🚛👖👕😎
I was young i know what to wear .I'm older i know what to wear, and my cleanliness is my priority in life, never change i can't stand untidy people that is why living alone makes me happy because I want everything in da way i organize in my own way no disturbing.
As we age, our understanding of personal style and self-presentation often evolves. It's commendable that you've maintained a strong sense of what suits you throughout your life. Your emphasis on cleanliness and tidiness is admirable, as these habits contribute significantly to one's overall well-being and self-respect. Living alone can indeed be a source of happiness for those who value order and organization. It allows you to maintain your environment exactly as you prefer, without compromise or disturbance. This level of control over your living space can be deeply satisfying and contribute to a sense of peace and contentment. Your preference for solitude and your own organizational system demonstrates self-awareness and a clear understanding of what makes you comfortable. It's important to recognize and honor these personal preferences, as they contribute to your overall happiness and quality of life. While not everyone may share your exact priorities, your commitment to cleanliness and order is a positive trait that likely serves you well in many aspects of your life.
Same here. Doesn't matter how nice my clothes are, if I'm not clean, that cancels them out. Old people are no longer very attractive to look at, but it's only made worse by a lack of cleanliness or neat clothing.
I never "like* anyone's video that begs likes more than twice. Many times I won't like if asked more than once. If we got rid of all the time begging likes we could reduce most videos by 15 to 20 percent.
Thank you for sharing! Sometimes, those simple thoughts can spark the biggest reflections. I appreciate your engagement and hope it leads to meaningful insights. 🌟💭

I am 85, and my wife celebrated, her 80 th birthday, yesterday. IN MUMBAIWe are married, happily since 60 years, our children and grand children are in Foreign countries We both are are Physicians, live happily, have a lot of friends,Enjoy life fully.
Thank you so much for sharing your story! It’s wonderful to hear about your long, happy marriage and the joyful life you both live together. Congratulations to your wife on her 80th birthday, and to both of you on 60 years of marriage! Wishing you many more happy and healthy years filled with love and laughter. 🎉
I'm 78 and wasted about 70 of them worrying about what other people think of me. Now I realize who are they to judge me and the way I live and dress. Are they that perfect that I should bow to their ideals?
Thank you so much for sharing your powerful realization! 🌟 It’s truly inspiring to hear that you’ve embraced living life on your own terms. No one else’s judgment should ever hold us back. Keep being unapologetically yourself! 💖🙌
My first wife passed away in 1996. She was 56 years old. Yes she was several years older than me. She died in November 19 96 from cancer. I miss her dearly so on her day of passing I get myself a shot glass And pointed to the heavens and say wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, I miss and love you. Hope maybe one day we can see each other again same goes for my fiancé that in 2022 at the age of 68. And that same celebration is done with my mother and with my father and my oldest brother. Pointer to the heavens and say may God be with you always❤️🥲🥲 And I say on the days that you die cheers to you, miss and love you🍻🍻
I completely understand! Quieter venues can create a more relaxed atmosphere, allowing for deeper connections and a more peaceful experience. It’s all about finding the environment that helps you feel most comfortable and at ease. 😊
At 71, Right now I'm wearing clean Levies, a thick black pocket T shirt and black tenn shoes. I just got home from a 2 hour Harley ride through the forest. I guess I'll never fit in and don't care. At my age between motorcycles, my hot rod and motor home camping with friends, I'm having fun my way.......
I love your attitude! 🙌 Living life on your terms and enjoying the things that make you happy-motorcycles, hot rods, and camping-sounds like the perfect way to have fun. Keep riding and doing your thing, no matter what anyone else thinks! 🏍️🔥
Thank you for sharing that! It’s empowering to hear how you embrace your style and live on your terms. That's a wonderful way to stay true to yourself! 🌟
Most people at 70 through 80 don’t usually go off too far. I know I don’t I can’t afford to go a lot of places living on a fixed income. Like I said in the last comment playing guitar brings me pleasure👍❤️🎸
I think and believe that people. Families can get together anytime it doesn’t necessarily have to be someone’s birthday. Or Christmas or New Year’s or Easter. Everybody celebrates all the time and everybody does get together. Why not just do this anytime. And stop taking each other for granite. Life is too short you can’t avoid birthdays, but you can avoid the parties.😁👍❤️
You've got a great point there! Why wait for special occasions? Every day is a chance to appreciate our loved ones. Spontaneous get-togethers can be the best. Life's too short to take each other for granted - let's celebrate the little moments too! 🥳💖
There Is no way I would have a birthday party as no one ever remembers my birthday. My sister hasn't wished me happy birthday this century. I treat myself something.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. I'm really sorry to hear that, but I'm glad to know you're treating yourself with something special! You deserve to be celebrated, and remember, we're here cheering you on. 🎉😊 Take care of yourself, and may this year bring you moments of joy! 💖
I am near 82 and I wear a T-shirt and blue jeans every day. I didn't retire until I was 76 but I still maintain my vehicles, do work with my tractors, use a chain saw to cut down trees. This video sounds like a person at 70 is waiting to die. Yes, most of my High School classmates have died and I have issues but I am not ready to lay down and die yet. Actually, most of my problems are from a wreck from a drunk driver in 1988 at 45 years old. Who in the Hell cares what you wear? It is your business.
Thank you for sharing your story and perspective! 🌟 It’s incredibly inspiring to hear how active and engaged you are at 82, still working with your hands and living life on your own terms. I truly appreciate your insight, and you’re absolutely right-what we wear or how we live is our own business, and it’s about staying strong and doing what feels right. Thank you again for your comment! 💪😊
Omg. What kind of information is this!!! I wear what I want. I’m into fashion and great hair !! This video is trying to make us be generic. Be careful what you believe
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 🙏 I appreciate your passion for fashion and self-expression. The video aims to offer guidance, but of course, personal style is always unique to each individual. It's great that you stay true to yourself! 😊
I wear bright, pretty sleeveless top and love them. I have good upper arms and hate sleeves. I wear slacks or jeans, shoes vary, it depends where I am going .
I have several pairs of blue jeans and several T-shirts. And for a winner flannel shirts. But I wash them after I have worn them for a few days. If I don’t take a shower every day I may try to take one at least three or four times a week. When you get older, it’s good to keep yourself clean.👍😁
I wear clothes to be comfortable when I’m at home around the house. I wear a pair of crocs a pair of jeans and I wear suspenders because I don’t like belts. I’m not fine but I don’t like feeling constricted. But when I go out, I try to dress appropriately and look nice.😁😎 cool
That’s wonderful! At 65, there’s so much potential ahead for growth, change, and joy. 🌟 Keep embracing each day with positivity and purpose! 😊 Your journey is unique and inspiring!
Thank you for sharing your perspective! 🌿 It's so true-what we wear can have a big impact on how we feel and breathe throughout our lives. A healthy body and mind are always the priority. Wishing you continued well-being! ❤😊

This video really got me thinking! I love how it emphasizes embracing simplicity as we age. 🎉 I agree that there’s so much value in prioritizing comfort and dignity in our choices. But what do you all think-is it really practical to avoid grand celebrations altogether? Let’s hear your thoughts! 😊
Great point, Alice! I think it’s all about finding balance. We can still have meaningful celebrations without going overboard. 🥳 I’ve found that small family gatherings feel much more personal and less stressful. Anyone else finding joy in simpler celebrations? 🙌
It is very hard choosing a birthday card wishing “the best year all things, wonderful and happiest birthday ever…” terminally ill or in assisted-living their lives. People that have already lived their lives and are waiting to die. Recognize their intimate fashion. As far as spending money on parties money that people don’t have the younger generation birthday parties when a child is one or two or three can’t remember them lavish parties couples can’t afford to make their mortgage payment or pay for daycare. People should go with their means and show off. Don’t host parties that you can’t afford.
Choosing a birthday card for someone who is terminally ill or in assisted living can indeed be challenging. It's important to recognize their situation and offer a message that is both sensitive and meaningful. Instead of focusing on the future, you might want to express gratitude for the moments shared and the impact they've had on your life. Regarding spending on birthday parties, it's true that some people feel pressured to host extravagant celebrations, even if they can't afford them. It's important to live within one's means and prioritize financial stability over impressing others. Meaningful celebrations don't have to be expensive; they can be simple gatherings that focus on connection and joy rather than material displays.
This was so depressing, it seems that after 60 you should just stay at home and invite death to come in and take you because any bit of fun that you can have will be frowned upon by someone.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. I'm sorry that the message came across that way. Our goal is to encourage everyone, especially those over 60, to live fully, find joy in everyday moments, and never feel limited by age. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll keep it in mind for future content. 😊🌟
Thank you for sharing that! 🙏 It’s inspiring to see how we all make personal choices that reflect our values and mindset. Stopping birthdays after 30 sounds like a unique way to focus on what truly matters in life. Wishing you all the best on your journey! 🌟😊

I like to dress up in a little bit. But I never like putting on a suit and wearing a necktie. I feel uncomfortable dressing that way. A neck tie choke you to death and to me a suit just looks too Gotti. I am a simple man and I dress a simple way.👍😁
I hear you! Dressing up a bit can be fun, but suits and ties aren't for everyone. Comfort is key, and there's nothing wrong with keeping it simple. Rock that casual style! 😊👕
the pretetious voice slips up when it goes on about bargain clothes that can 'tear'meaning to tear or rip . whoever heard of clothes that cry !! 😂 it's a sad , depressing vid ; i'm 80 and been riding mi motorbike all summer , cheers 🎶😄

When a channel suggests a list, I wanna see the list. I don’t want to hear a lot of palaver getting around to the list and surrounding the list. After you give the list if you want to add something that’s OK but let me have a list first. Otherwise it seems to be a case of talking to hear yourself talk.

Yes. I agree! 🤣😂
I wear what I like when I like and do not worry about what outsiders think, I am not out to impress anyone.
However, I like to keep clean but that is for me and my lovely husband, he loves how I smell and how I look and what I wear
so I must be doing something right.
Đó là thái độ hoàn hảo! Miễn là bạn và chồng bạn hạnh phúc, đó là tất cả những gì quan trọng. Hãy luôn là chính mình!
I agree.
At an advanced age, the biggest problem with youtube is getting to the point. I'm not getting any younger.
☕
Point very well taken😅
Agreed. Mostly waffle
@@robertmclaggan4021 ❤❤❤
Couldn't agree more!!! Tedious. Get to the point!!!
I'm 75. I'm comfy in skinny jeans and sweatshirts or tee shirts. I still love nice perfumes and hot bubble baths. I dress for myself and what looks clean and comfy. I don't feel I must look like I'm ready for a coffin.
lol. Same here😊
Hahaha.... go for it 😀
This video really resonates with me. The idea of simplifying life as we age and focusing on comfort, dignity, and meaningful connections is so valuable. I’m 70 years old. I’ve always been a blue Jean and T-shirt guy. And in the winter I wear flannel shirts that’s my wardrobe. Sometimes I even wear a pair of cowboy boots. But mostly tennis shoes.👍😁
You sound good to me 😅
Yee-ha! Sounds great - and very masculine too.😉
I wear what I want I don’t care what will they say cuz it’s my life I’m happy wearing what I want

Soft, breathable fabrics that are easy to put on and take off, perfect for relaxing at home.
These are wonderful but I enjoy changing the “playback speed” to play faster in settings.

Lol...I'm 72, a woman and I dress just like I did in my thirties. Jeans, long hair and sandals...or boots in the colder weather. Almost everyone thinks that I'm in my early 50's. That works for me 👍
I never leave home without a shower, clean shiny hair which is still my natural color. My make-up is very natural and I have perfect teeth. I take very good care of myself. Now all I need is a 50 something boyfriend or a Young 70's guy as a play pal 😊
After all...70 is the New 50...!!
👍
I wish everyone who reads the comments after watching this meaningful video always peace, happiness and success! 🙏🙏🙏

I totally agree. Absolutely people go too far out of their way and they end up financially destitute. I wouldn’t put that pressure on nobody.
Love it! Thanks you 🥰

Thật tuyệt vời! Sự thoải mái và phong cách cá nhân mới là điều thực sự quan trọng. Hãy tiếp tục làm những gì khiến bạn hạnh phúc!
Thank you for sharing!
I was told how ugly I was by guys in my neighborhood, from the ages of 12 to 17. I ate the jabs and insults like
Desert.

I’d always tell them
2 days after the fact.
Total agreement. Enjoy and please the self that is true happiness.
Very nice guidelines
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I’m glad you found the guidelines helpful. Your support means a lot! 🙏
Me too.

Our goal is to encourage everyone, especially those over 60, to live fully, find joy in everyday moments, and never feel limited by age. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll keep it in mind for future content. 😊🌟

When a channel suggests a list, I wanna see the list. I don’t want to hear a lot of palaver getting around to the list and surrounding the list. After you give the list if you want to add something that’s OK but let me have a list first. Otherwise it seems to be a case of talking to hear yourself talk.
