    I remember asking you for Angelina Jolie so I’m happy you finally did this. It took me about a month to watch it, I apologize. But it was still well worth the wait because you did a great job analyzing her voice.

    There was a short period around 2003 where she spoke with a British accent. Her roles around that time were British characters.
    Would be interesting to dissect actors with wandering accents through out the years.

      I guess I’m less interested in the accent and more the actual voice overall but interesting topic I have to say! Thanks 🙏

    I think her big teeth and thick lips help her naturally enunciate words without much effort.
    Darren, we're still waiting for the new years special Tom Cruise 🙏

      Not new year yet! Plus my case study is involved and so it will be a couple of months before the video is released! Thanks for hanging in there though!

    She adopted children from South Africa. Maybe that is what you heard. Also she played a news anchor in a movie.

    It must be true what you say about our physical sturcture and posture affecting the way our voice sounds... Not to sound like I’m full of myself but I’ve been compared to Angelina lookswise many times (I swear I can’t believe it either) and I was surprised to hear how similar her way of speaking sounds to mine. We both grew up in LA but have foreign parents so I have been told that I have an absence of an accent, and so does she. Neither of us speak with the typical Southern California/ LA accent where the last syllable of the last word is dragged out until the voice is reduced to a croak or gravelly sound (linguists call it a vocal fry). We both also have the very measured tone with a light presence but clear tone and articulating every word. Soemtimes after talking to many people in a group I notice my cheeks hurt because of the way I hold my face and mouth when I speak. This was a very interesting video...

      I wouldn’t say vocal fry is regional so much as generational, as demonstrated by a lot of young women.

    I want to do your course but I’m not sure if it will help me with a more feminine voice ?

    • @ImproveYourVoice
      @ImproveYourVoice  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most likely not I’m afraid. What you might be looking for are technical changes and I would suggest for that personal coaching from someone. 😁

    She does have a very feminine voice. Perhaps she would have fit in with the way ladies used to talk before the 60s.

    Are there a lot of these videos where you Name it in a way and never really do it? Why don't you do it yourself? I just can't understand what's the point of the video! You are throwing a hundred assumption and not really doing the job!

      I've answer on the other comment, I see how smart you are as this video is not titles as the other one with "How to", so I'll leave my answer there and you do what you think is fair enough with your videos. I don't mean to be agressive or harsh but I am so frustrated with the content. Anyone can say these things, no practical tips.
