Cliff Llewellyn that can take some time to heal right? Dexterity exercises might help you to strengthen the mouth again. Have you been practicing tongue Twisters?
Thank you for sharing this. As an actor I have some issues when it comes to articulating because I naturally speak quickly and my words can sound jumbled. So I am trying to learn how to slow down and make my words clearer.
Hi Darren, thanks for sharing your articulation exercises- I’ve done lots of speech therapy exercises over the years, but I love your approach - you make doing them repeatedly, likely & for me ,most importantly…you make them fun- fantastic!!!
I'm a fairly experienced singer. Sang in choral programs mostly as a baritone, and then sang in a few punk/rock/ska bands. To this day, I feel i am a good singer, but my speaking voice is comparatively somewhat hoarse and inarticulate. I've been hoping to cash in on my vocal training and break into voiceover or narrator work. Really enjoying your videos and finding them helpful. Recently I've been doing volunteer narration for Librivox. If I enjoy this enough I may take your class and try to take this hobby to the next level!
Thank you! English is my second language Filipino is my first. The way we form our mouth to speak Tagalog is different from how native English speakers speak english so this helps a lot!!
This is perfect 👌🏼 I talk so fast that I get nervous when I speak slow. I sometimes feel people don’t pay attention when I talk cause I speak slow and skip letters
Your contents and videos are really high quality. Please don't stop, you will soon reach at least a million viewers, at least. I also really enjoy the little funny moments you make :) Greetings from Uganda. Your videos help us a lot!
Sir i have a doubt i am watching your videos for the first time. But before a month i saw an another video of improving my voice on ‘charisma on command' channel. So i am doing grounding exercise and om chanti exercise. Day after day i feel the results my voice become deeper with a high range while doing this exercise daily. But when i stopped it for a few days my voice becomes as same as my voice which is one month before. The doubt is doing grounding and om chanting exercise will give only a temporary effect or permanent effect. If it will give a permanent change in my voice, the how long i should do this exercises. Hope you understand my question. Thank you ❤️
Articulation will need to be ongoing if you don’t have the muscle strength to support your voice. That said voice work needs to be ongoing long enough until you develop an automated muscle memory that remember the new ways you wish to do something, Find my video for daily warm up and do it daily for a minimum of two months then you’ll begin to see more permanent changes.
Sorry sir i have some difficulty in understanding english language.so i didn't watched all your videos.i know its impossible to translate all your videos in my native language.but if you suggest the exact videos for me to follow then it will be a great help for me. I need a exercise to deepen my voice with in 3 to 4 months. And i am sure that i am going to put 200% effort on developing my voice for the upcoming 3 to 4 months. Will you?
Always a bit of cringe with this stuff! Gotta move past that and get over the self conscious judging right? I’m glad you found it. Regular is good! 💪💪💪
Don’t even consider the tongue, but you might find it following the lower jaw down. Imagine there’s a small balloon in your mouth that expands and contracts. Create the movement to follow the size changes so you end up with a pulsating sensation and feel a stretch and release, stretch and release! 💪 does that help?
@@vocabilities I think I got it, thank you! I've done all the other exercises in the past but this one was unlike anything I'd ever seen... Very interesting
I think this will be useful. I personally better throw in TH, SH, and CH in with the consonants because I tend to be a bit lazy on those. I have trouble with my tongue hitting the soft palate and trilling there instead of the tip of the tongue, anyone know what I could do to help prevent this?
Practice, adjust, retain, practice, adjust and retrain until it works. Remember it’s just muscle memory so you need to train your unconscious automated machine to change its ways through repetition ! 💪💪💪
Hi sir , my name is jessy from india. i very intersted vedios .sir i need for your helpe because of my speaking ability very difficult so i needed to your sugestion.how can I improve pronunciation and speaking . thank you.
Turbo Dodson improve your technique, warm up and warm down, drink more water the day before, drink less caffeine, sleep more, eat more alkaline foods, practice proper breathing techniques and lay off the whiskey! Do any of these stand out to you?
Two questoins. 1) my voice seems to get higher as i talk more, any way to prevent this? 2) would expanding my palette skeletally have any impact upon voice clarity etc? everything is functionally normally but wonder if the sound would be clearer and crisper
You can’t expand your skeleton I’m afraid, the soft palette can be trained however. And it will only give you more options and dynamics when using your voice!
Your voice gets higher most likely because of current habits that cause tension as you speak. It results in restrictions that make you less resonant. Proper breath support and posture will be a big help with this!

How to improve with the consonant exercises? Should we do it slower till we get it? Or keep it doing fast and eventually It'll fix itself?
