    In this video we install the Eufy floodlight security camera. This is a demonstration video only for information purposes. We are not professional electricians or installers. Viewers assume their own risk in installation. Make sure you consult the manual and hire a professional electrician to avoid potential shock and even death due to improper installation. If you do attempt this project, please ensure all power is disconnected for the area where you are performing the insulation. The Eufy security camera is a great flood light motion sensor security camera. The installation process can be a little bit complex but we show you each of the installation steps for the camera on our garage. Thanks for watching.

    I had to call and ask a potential electrician which switch was my main power shutoff from the breaker. Then I was able to use your video to help install this camera myself! So proud of me! Thank you so much for sharing🤗

    I previously installed one and had a hard time finding a right sized junction box. What size did you get?

    What size junction box is it?

  • @Clicon61

    Looks like a good floodlight camera sadly let down by the big bulky junction box. Eufy trick advertising pictures makes the install look light a lot slimmer. This is a bit deceitful, they need to up their game and do away with the bulky external junction box and have an internal junction box like the IGeek ZY E1 floodlight. This has a waterproof back plate mounted against the wall and so making the install a lot slimmer and neater.

    For the power, can you just connect it to an existing porch light?

  • @kitersrefuge7353

    Had an initial bluetooth issue...tried to pair it, with 0000 or 1234...did not work. Light went back to red. Tried again, and it worked.

    Do you have to have a old eufy smart flood light? I bought this from bestbuy and it didn't mention any preexisting light. I have nothing to mount it on.

    If you dont have wifi , can it still work as a flood light and everything else except for camera ?

    • @ScottsGarage
      @ScottsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a really good question. We have never tried to use it without the Wi-Fi option. We will have to do some research to answer that question.

    • @neolee3477
      @neolee3477 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it needs wifi for the lights to work. With the wifi it allows you to control the flood light settings (how bright, how long they stay on etc.)

      I wish it was easier to integrate with Google Home. Unfortunately, it looks like you have to use their proprietary software to actually get the video feed. It’s easy to download their app though.

      @Nathalie Gibson by taking the ground wire and wrapping it around a grounding screw attached to the box usually where that raised bump is bottom left in this case.

      @@DR0CK so he should ground to the junction box (hump) or the bracket (where the ground screw hole is) & then connect the remaining ground wires? Is that what you’re saying?
