Dude you missed the most important unwritten rule: always plant spike after winning
Gives some more money for next round, always good to do it when possible (the extra credit can allow a cypher to buy more trips, or a viper to fill up mollies...)

This isn’t an unwritten rule, this is what we all should be doing
Every damn time I play a different agent no one wants spike and by the time I pick Gekko suddenly someone is hogging the spike every start of the round
Then they will complain why our gekko is not planting ....
I swear to God everytime I pick gecko to try and help the team someone on the team will race me after a couple rounds of planting to try and grab spike the moment we start the buy round

On that Sova ult tip during defuses:
If you have a high enough hp, TANK THE FIRST HIT AND HALVE THE SPIKE TIMER.
a lot of times you wont get tet half unless the sova ult was late and you will die most of the time and you prob wont even get half, what I do is tap bait out 2 shots then stick the last one so you cannot die and you save the same amount of time\
Like the other guy said, let the first two fire, and if you have 40+ HP, tank the last one. You’ll have half by the time the Sova’s animation is finished, and if the Sova was confident, he will be positioned a little too far aaay to stop you.
Very low elo unwritten rule: Don't take the spike if you are going to go to weird places instead of site. It is insanely hard to recover if you die with the spike. I have lost quite a lot of rounds because of a teammate doing that. 😂
Dude, nearly every game someone will grab the spike and we’ll go to the site just to hold a peek when they’re all the way at the other site losing all that time advantage.
honorable mention: zip it during clutches unless your comm is absolutely crucial. i cant tell you how many times unnecessary comms have distracted me from saving a round.
I can’t tell u how many times I’ve been smoked off while having chamber ult and I audibly say, welp I’m useless now. Thanks *insert smoke character*

@@jordanalmady2145 Make sure you aren't expecting your team to be psychic. Deliberately ask for no smoke. They usually have more pressing matters than where you're looking at all times.

another important rule: if someone drops their guns and pulls out knife, give them the knife fight. and if your teammates are knife fighting, you don't interfere. Similarly, if your teammate has a 4k, you bait for him to get his ace

I dont know if it counts as a rule but when the enemy team says to report someone from their team for actually trolling (I dont count when the person is just having a bad match) or toxicity
I always report them as I would like the same to happen to those that I think that should be reported
I usually don't do that, because there are often times they want us to report them for playing bad, wirhout saying that. And that is not a reason to be reported.

When you're Chamber or Jett, buy the gun for someone else since your ult is a weapon.
Bold of you to assume:
1) I can build up my ult altogether
2) I can hit anything with the ult even if I have one

Sadly many people don’t follow this
Even on the enemy team!
Don’t forget encourage baiting teammates or bad smokes
Even worse having a perfect vct comp but the reyna main decided to fill an agent just to compromise the game by having no clue wtf they are doing. DONT FILL! Stick to 1-2 Agents per map get really good at those and then instalock this agent. If someone picks them away which may happen once per session just dodge. 1 dodge a day won’t give you a penalty.

One note about the ultimate points and distributing them, while in most cases yes i think giving it to the person closest to their ultimate is best, i find some scenarios where its less effective.
Its round 3 (or 5 or 7), you won rifle round, enemy team needs to eco next round, your raze is 1 off ult, sova needs 4. If you give sova the defuse, fight for the easier defender orb and maybe even give him the defuse again, now instead of just a raze ult going into your next gun vs gun round your sova is 1 off ult while raze should have ult (unless she hasnt seen a person in 2 rounds, in which case... Damn.. gamble didnt pay off)

As a guy who's main role is initiators and controller, I felt the need to add that, if you're passing the OP to a player with low HP, prioritize the Jett or Chamber in your team as they are more likely to know how to maximize the gun's efficiently rather than passing it to a random player if they're simply low HP.

Much appreciated. I’ve moved from a duelist main to controller and am still figuring out the best ways to help my team as an omen for post plant and defuse scenarios so this definitely helped. However if my team doesn’t play off those smokes then it can backfire

2:54 True. However (sadly not really a common strat) is trading. One or all team member should back up with the vandal player (either to protect or get the gun). The idea is to WIN ur gunfights. not necessarily to win the round. if vandal player dies, the other team member has a better chance in winning the gunfight (vandal v vandal than sherrif v vandal) (or save the gun and win provide equal economy next round). Remember win the gunfight. not the round.
(also dont buy sherrif if ur actually planning to eco) please think of ur next two rounds than ur 1st next round. if you lose ur first full buy (ur likely have half buy or half armor in the next round already which in other words economy shit already if you have to wait every two rounds to get credits for a full buy)

You forgot one unwritten rule on OP : when your teammate with OP dies, and you pick the OP then next round you need to give that back and ask for a vandal
In low elo my teammates dont just safe after winning pistol, they even force after losing it

Nah- if anyone breaks that snowman on the right of Icebox, I instantly lose the ability to aim. Even if it was done by the enemy team without me seeing/knowing.

Breeze: 3 people instalocket, a reyna, a jett, and a cypher (wich isn't that great i am a cypher main and wanted to play cypher but i guess screw that, i was prepared to just fill anyways)
only me and another person left and we needed a controller and an initiator. i was picking (not locking) astra and fade (just switchign between these two to signalize to my aperetly not knowing what communication is teammates that i was willing to fill out either role) the only other not locket person picket (again not locket) brim, so i thought i could go with fade. so i lock fade. what does he do? HE LOCKS PHOENIX!
But brothers and sisters, this aint the best. yk what our team decided to do first round? let me remind you, this was breeze. guess where they went!

Funnily enough my teammate always seem to be asleep when I am left in a post plant situation. They forget to ping way more times than you’d think. Sooo annoying.
if you save 600 bucks every round, you rarely really need save rounds. usually save rounds end on round 2, sometimes on round 1, if you fragged. id rather never have save rounds than extra 25 health which can be deleted by one shot from basically any gun anyways.
Ehhh. Saving is good because you don't just insta lose the game if you force buy and lose. So yeah maybe people save too often, but I wouldn't say to never do it...
Yeah I have use 25 extra shield so many times that I think I saved up more than hundred of thousands credits in total because enemy always use vandal or one tap when I half shield or full shield.
@@apricot8301a full shield won't save you considering how addicted people are to headshotting. moreso if there's an oper, you just threw away 600 creds against something that can oneshot you anyway.
@@Geheimnis-c2eOnly one oper in the enemy sometimes versus 2-3 people always playing phantom which does 145 at mid range. Plus it gives your protection against a ton of things like stray wallbangs and save round guns.

one thing I don't totally agree with is the fill picking an agent, that perfect vct team comp will do jack squat for you if someone doesn't know how to play the character they are filling, if they are comfortable with said character, its fine, but if you main duelist but have to fill controller or sentinel, you're going to be a bigger hindrance than an advantage
And the most important rule is, if someone want to knife mid and say it in ennemis chat and they kill him with a weapon, the ennemis can't complain for the rest of the game.
I love this video, the only problem I have with it is that my teamates are too stupid to do any of the things requiring more than one person. They don't even tap the defuse. ever.

i wish my teammates would understand this, i knew everything from there, and im suprised half of my elo doesnt understand this, im hardstuck plat and when i tell my teammate to play eco cuz 4 other people cant play full i get laughed at or told to shut up or told "ill clutch this" and then we lose. Or yesterday i got called countless names and told i have 0iq cuz i told sova to use his ult on 1v1 while the enemy was defusing the spike, he lost and screamed at me that he wont waste his ult on 1v1

Idk, in low elo nowadays we can usually consistently get an omen. He's like a staple of the game now. I remember in Season 5 where I was also in low elo getting a smoker was a challenge though
I swear lower elo players follow the opposite eco rules for pistol. They’ll buy after losing pistol and save after winning pistol.
I never pinged the spike until a mate started screaming at me for it. Also f most of these other „rules“ - I won’t drop you a skin.

This is why I kinda hate e-sport ridden games like this, don’t take it personally it’s just my opinion but just like LOL there is so many goddamn unwritten rules that new players are just expected to know even in lower ranked games. Because there is always that one guy who already started working towards his fantasy of becoming the worlds best valorant player. I just wanna shoot some heads and improve my aim for other games that I enjoy more and some people be yelling at me like everything I’m doing is wrong when there litterally shouldn’t be a right or wrong way to do things in those almost base tier ranks. The only e-sports games I can get behind is rocket league and fortnight for actually playing for enjoyment, just my opinion though.
it would take you a maximum of 30 games to learn most of this stuff, if you can't handle the stress of esport titles and if you cant be bothered to learn basic stuff like this then i suggest trying out stardew valley, it'd be right up your alley

To elaborate on rule 16, it’s called Bogdans law and it’s used because the player with low HP can use the AWP/Operator to just hold an angle instead of taking a gun duel with a massive health disadvantage

And no, I'm not that rich guy with a lot of skins, I'm literally bought only 3 bundles over 4 years playing Valorant, but i NEVER begging for skins because I know how it can be frustrating, especially if u do this EVERY freaking round! I'm getting skins only from dead teammates and enemies, and this is a fairly common scenario, so WHY ARE U DOING THIS?
