in in bronze, and i KNOW everything i have to do (micro adjustment, checking corners, peeking better) but whenever i get into a game i just... forget
just try implementing that in unrated then go to ranked
Dm before a match to improve confidence and to warm up your aim
If your bronze, just get better aim and peek everything
just grind
focus on one thing at a time, when that concept is a part if your intuition, move on to the next.

I am actually really frustrated, how the rank grind worked out for me so far.
I reached immortal 1 in Ep 6 (primarily solo queue) and since then i can barely keep up in Asc 2/3.
In the recent Act, i was hard stuck diamond and hit Ascendant 1 at the End.
I have the feeling that the overall playerbase has so much improved, where i have only a little bit.
I try to focus on my weaknesses and training my aim on kovaaks because its fun for me. But in the end, it isn't enough, i guess.
I recorded my games and reviewed them, but what i noticed were errors that i usually noticed right at the moment ingame as well.
And the extra Time investment for reviewing vods isn't worth it when you dont have enough time and just wanna play.
I am 34 with a full-time job, gym 5 times a week, 2 dogs and girlfriend who doesn't like it when i am playing 3-5 hour's straight (i could easily play 8 hours and still have fun😅).
I guess i have to accept that i am slowly decreasing towards Diamond/Platinum 😂

the issue is probably because you are glossing over minor mistakes in your vod and those being the ones that are holding you back the most
I recommend taking one of your VODs to Woohoojin and he will pin point a key area for improvement for you

my cousin brother, who has been a gamer since he was like 7 or something, hit immo 3 quite easily and bounced around there alot (this is a time when i was new to valorant and didn't know much). Recently though, i watched one of his random streams, and noticed this issue which konpeki said, of autopiloting and pointing out tiny mistakes and being kind of toxic. he never touched radiant :/

I started playing Kayo to help me get better with aim and game sense. Forcing people to lose their util so they need to gun fight gives me plenty of practice. And using his flashes helps me learn how to clear and create space.
You have to be: no life, finished school, have a high paying job

my pc cant handle recording my game sessions, but i can run the game perfectly fine, which really sucks, riot needs to add a replay system so i can actually check my mistakes
As woohoojin said you can literally record on your phone if you really care, might not be good quality but yeah.
invest in like a 3 dollar phone stand and record your games. No excuses to stop improving
Prpbably need to change some settings on obs, try even recording im 720p, 30fps

For me not caring for ranked really worked and helped me focus on important things in game

watching pro player gameplay or videos that explain that gameplay helps a lot
I picked up a few skills (though still very primitive rn) that helped a lot (im s1/s2) like keeping track of general plays that enemies do (who flanks, rushes, lurks, etc), head-glitch spots (like the box in mid peeking into elbow on breeze, or corner of rafters in A from screens side peeking belt on icebox), and game sense (predicting what the enemy will do based on what info you have, this one has been super useful)
This is very helpful! If you haven't already can you please do guide for different maps, like team comps, setups, how to play, ect.?

One more tips i think help me a lot is also a shift in mindsets. Just play like it's a game and learning your mistake everytime. Don't feel too hard on myself and being toxic to teammates for better in-match comms.

these guides and 'coaching' are full of bs tbf, getting out of low elo's is almost impossible, you meet so many sad cheating scum that it's just impossible... all these tips, stop before you shoot (duhh, sherlock, everyone played cs at some point in their lives) and positioning, clearing angles .... even switching up from close to a corner to far away from a corner you can't do it because whenever u peak the first time its an instant headshot everytime .... 'shitty movement' is the excuse then... I watched vids about it and know you have to strafe when you peak and not strafe and use w/d at the same time but I still get beamed almost every time I peek... also the inconsistency is unreal in this game .... one game you almost throw a 40 bomber and the next game you can't even hit 10 kills, but yeah they're 'all legit' you gotta believe that shit --' cheating is a big problem these days in every comp game, and whoever says that's not the case in valorant is seriously delulu ...

I climbed from iron to ascendant with no coaching or vod review, just think abt the mistakes you make, spend some time in the range, play with a party if possible and try not to autopilot in game and you improve over time
@@gnub9711 nahh, no way to improve if all you encounter is instant 1ms reaction time hs whenever you peek anywhere, could even switch your peeks up you'd still get 1 tapped every time wherever u go :') this game just has the same problem as any other game, being that its full of scum who just like to ruin others' their fun, psychopaths to be more precise :)
explain me how I go 40 from 40 kill-games into games where I can't even get 15 kills :') within the same rank and literally playing the 2nd game 5 mins after the 1st :') nothing to do with how good or bad someone is... but I guess you like to react demeaning shit on ppl online :) must be fun :)

Just by learning, training, and focusing more on the basics i've just done b2 --> s3 on my first act, now that the new act is out imma try to go gold/plat 😇

Been tryna get out of bronze but I came here for tips for every rank just for future reference cause I feel like I’ll rank up relatively quick. I’m going like 40-10 in games so I feel like I’m a couple divisions better than bronze
I got back to valorant after playing r6 for so long and my chess mindset in r6 carried over to valorant so even tho my aim isnt the best rn my gamesense and positioning is helping me get the enemies off guard
I am in the potential 1% of vod reviewing my game play to see how I can get better. Solo q to diamond took me forever, I do think ascendant is possible but sometimes the game is tough to grind out.

do you have a video on optimal entry pathing? I’ve always looked for some sort of guide but had to resort to copying what radiants do. That being said, it’s still hard to understand why that’s the correct entry pathing.

My plat and diamond friends said that I deserve gold and ppl often think that Im smurfing, but Im a broze myself, they were amused on why am I still bronze (Im soloquing btw) 😅😅 and idk anymore lol but they told me to try playing at higher fps pc and monitor
Coming from an iron 1 I first thought "oh it's an old video with outdated tips" but I realised it wasn't. I feel like the more you move into the higher ranks, the less you understand the lower ones, as most people know the maps, the crosshair placement, shooting error etc in iron so whilst this video is good for tips for most ranks, I think a bit of input from the lower ranks can make it more helpful/realistic. I may be wrong about this though, and am happy to hear suggestions!
It's pretty accurate for the lower ranks though. (below plat).
The lower ranks kinda don't have any fundamentals so in any game you play, the best tip is to work on fundamental mechanics.
- Spraying
- Spray Transfer
- Flicking
- Micro Flicking / adjusting
- Crosshair placement
- Tapping
- Bursting
- Strafing
- Aerial Strafing
^ Learn all these and it's basically get out of low rank card in FPS games.
The more advanced mechanics are things like having high velocity flicking and precision angle clearing while strafing type of things but those are WAYYY too hard if you can't do all the above properly, hence why no one strays away from saying to learn the basics in videos.

I think the problem is diamond players were placed in gold when the episode start and they still haven’t grind comp yet. My problem is matchmaking should be balanced and they should be playing with diamond players where they supposed to be. They have diamond gun buddies and saw their tracker too.

So you have good tips for iron and bronze but I personally don’t think that really applies to me as I’ve been hard stuck for like 3 years and have heard the same thing multiple times and think I’m decent just not consistent at all. So you got any tips for me specifically?
I've been immortal 10 acts in a row and never made the push for Radiant as it seemed to be so far. But maybe one act I will try. Just nowadays when I have a job its borderline impossible :D

Unfortunately I have the 30 fps setup. When theres util or enemies on my screen, my fps becomes unstable. I think im upgrading a little soon and hope to be wble to get 60 because i think it will help my skill cieling go up and make me be able to get better faster.
i would do a vod review but having obs open at the same time as my game drops me from 30fps to 15 and i really need every frame i can get

my aim sucks cause of how heavy my sens is for me (its not even super slow, its the average edpi of 240). But, in long game sessions it gets really tiring to aim. I want to change sens, but this sens is my best one yet cause it kept me somewhat consistent (0.3 800). I either have to lift more weights or change my sens.

im B3 and my biggest issue is that i generally hit 5k packets lost a game and constantly spike over 100 ping and usually when i dont spike or something i just get a 4k
my main issue rn when im in diamond is that my pc is too ass to record and play, like it doesn't lag that bad while playing but the footage it self is unwatchable
im right there and ive been there for couple years no lie, plat 3, Diamond2. i just can´t get any higher even if i feel i have a good AIM and understanding the Game pretty well
I don't think there is any set method to climbing ranks in valorant because
1. you will get matched with smurfs frequently
2. you will have teammates that have higher ranks but no skills to back that
3. you will in almost every match get players whose ego will put the team in a bad place.
no matter how much you skill up these things will put you at a disadvantage
For me I started ranking up easily when my aim and movement surpassed those who were in rank higher than me for example if you are in plat and you can easily dominate a diamond you will have an easy time on that lobby. You should avoid ranked matches if you feel you are getting dominated , it's time to hit DM then

Im in gold and im stuck because I expect my teamates to play well or similar to me and actually hold angles or go for trades.
My team always instalocks support agents and then they dont support their teammates. They use all of their abilties just for themselves, for example sentinels spamming all of their abilites on site and then their team dies by flanks
I do have all the skills i need to climb up to plat, but somehow i still stuck at sil3-gold1 😅
Where is that first 45 minute guide you mentioned at the start of the video. I am just starting to play video games again and I need to get mechanics down. I have decent game sense, but I think that's because I used to play competitive R6, but I don't know the basic mechanics and stuff for this game.
Over relying on util in val is so hard to fix. Csgo isn't as fast paced as val so I always get jumpscared when suddenly someone's already infront of me throwing knives and un dodgeable blinds while I'm holding my nade.
I can't say how many times I've been caught lacking and I wanna fix it but I just can't. Utils give me some sort of addiction, being able to stop enemy push by yourself using utils and barely any shooting gives a diff kind of ego.

Being an old CSGO player (eagle master) first time I played valorant i went into silver, quit the game for 2 years recently came back (a month or 2 ago) Now im hardstuck plat 3. I think my comms is by far my worse category I never remember the names XD

I'm hardstuck iron only bc of smurfs and useless teammates. One time I went 20 and 14 as cypher and our jett was literally 0 and 15. I was placed in iron bc I had a bad aim day when I did my placements. It's so annoying how people act like it's really easy to get out of iron because the smurfs do not agree with that!
