Understanding Dynamic Nerfing & Game Balance // This goes for all of our videos. You may realize that sometimes the 1 immortal or radiant has more money, shields, etc. Or the enemies have light shields, reduced economy, etc. This is why most of our videos are close matches. They are balanced to the teeth. This means rule-sets are set in place to create fair gameplay for everyone involved. Sometimes we do this "dynamically". For example: Maybe a low ranked team would start with pistol only, then get a specter and light shield. After switching sides they maybe can full buy, etc, etc. This gives a sense of suspense to the video as the opposing team would slowly face an increasing challenge!

I think one major issue is that, while the iron's got all the time they want to try out new strats and adapt to the challenge, the single player can't do so because they're only playing one time, without past experience, and every single round is crucial. If you put 9 random irons immediately against an immortal or radiant, being highly disorganized and without being adapted progressively to harder adversaries, they'd surely lose.
That’s the point though
For a test like this id reccomend keeping the map the same for all ranks. Some maps have alot longer of sight lines, making ot harder for the irons to do anything with pistol only. Or let the solo player choose the map they want, so they can better use their game knowledge.
yeah actually keeping the same map makes more sense, like here we can see sunset is f*ed up
i think it's better to let the player who is 1 v-ing to choose because for him some maps might be better than the others.

True but it wouldn't be fair in the sense the irons would have built up roles and experience with 9 stacking on a certain map. This way at least it's slightly a new exp for them to figure out

You can really see the ability to isolate fights getting better and shining through here as the ranks go higher. It's a skill I still need to acquire XD

It's crazy how often the ult came in sooo late. Almost every rank was just so wasteful by not using ult. Especially the Ascendant.
i’ve never seen an iron jump peak corners until now. i don’t even think that thought usually starts occurring until silver at least (and isn’t actually good in execution until later)

Jump peaks, crossfires, where tf are they getting these irons
The Viper, Soap Enthusiast, had plat-dia level gamesense, insane trigger discipline, knew how to jump spot, great positioning. Nobody else really stood out but that Viper definitely wasn’t iron and claimed a multitude of rounds single-handedly.

Not a very "fair" test but was interesting nonetheless.
I think a lot of people pointed out the the irons where too "experienced", maybe the recruitment criteria for the irons needs to be changed. And the people in the comments mentioned the weapons too, and maps. Basically, i agree with the people in the comments lol.

Impressive for the radiant player non the less. What is important to remember too is that those 9 people had many rounds to figure out a strategy that works to overwhelm while early people didn't have that issue. It makes sense why it wasn't linearly better and we saw regression.

Plenty of iron players (interested in ranking up) consume Valorant content and know about jump peeking.

@@wakiwakr As a Bronze player who started Iron 2, I can say that Iron is much more diverse in skill than the community makes it seem. Iron 1 and Iron 2 are bots, but Iron 3 players commonly perform well in my Bronze and Bronze/Silver lobbies. Iron can be difficult to escape because of all the throwers, no comms, and people DCing left and right.
@@rocketdawg3000yeah this is so true i was iron 3 for a while cus i was having trouble adjusting from iron 2 to iron 3 lobbies and playing with bronzes (obviously both ranks are still not great but when you're low elo you dont notice that)

I really liked the last game with kero, the radiant. But bro, irons r like always to cracked. Some of them make like 0 kills in the whole games, but the neon made like 5 kills on her own. She had better aim, then the silver and gold together. But I really like this idea

Don't be upset. This whole thing puts a lot of pressure on you to perform and I would panic.
Sunset was the worst map you could have been on. It was really hard for you to keep any kind of distance from them.

It's fine bro some of the irons are not irons. Sunset is a hard map too. The challenge is very unfair tbh which it doesn't matter. In the end, you are an immortal and those ppl aren't. 1 v 9 is hard to do.
It is interesting to see that the higher the ranks go the more patience they get, most of these low ranks just need more patience and they'd be much better

So funny that most of them just bought odin on the first round of defense and end up dying because of crouching and trying to spray 9 people rushing them. They would 100% perform better with phantom/vandal, trying not to crouch and be more mobile. 🙃
You cant spray with a phantom and vandal. It becomes too innaccurate. As well as you cant reset the recoil quick enough to prevent a rush. Odin was a good pick.

I like how you can see how they got their ranks. Ascendant has good aim and gamesense but immortal and radiant just have good aim. They just can't wrap their head around so many players coming from different directions. On 1v1s they would win but their position is horrible in thos 1v6 situations.
