I wish the people at the mall could agree. They pretty much told me that trick or treating is only for the little kids and I am embarrassed for saying that when I was 31-years-old at the time.
I say the Ashleys are worse than Randall. Randall and Ms. Finster actually have a very cute friendship and it’s made clear that they do care about each other and Randall does legitimately want to help Ms. Finster do her job. The Ashleys, however, have proven that they will turn on each other for the most minuscule reasons like wearing the wrong outfit. I don’t know. I guess I’ve always had a soft spot for Randall since I found him funny.
Well, the Ashleys were willing to get Gus potentially arrested in the jinx episode, as well as...create segregation with rating cards, "cheat" at the can drive, and just treat the gang (particularly Spinelli because of her similar name) like dirt in general. I could say they redeemed themselves by helping with the final battle in the movie, but...the crimes are still there.
This whole episode just reminds me when I was bullied out of liking dinosaurs, which were my hyperfixation for several years. I never really stopped liking them, I just hid it better because the bullying over liking something 'only kids like' got relentless. Well screw you guys, I just turned 34 years old a month ago, and a common thing I noticed over the years is that a lot of my friends my age or older find my extensive dinosaur knowledge to actually be really interesting.
I've seen kids react exactly that way to things even more trivial then finding out something is sugar free, so honestly the reaction seems completely realistic to me
“For some reason, season 6 would be very short, and still have the kids in the 4th grade.” Exactly! Why wouldn’t the kids be in the 5th grade after the movie? It just makes absolutely no sense at all!
I often think like some shows that wanted to tell a bit more tales before having the characters grow up would be the excuse (like episodes of Naruto going back to when they were 12 year olds where they're most fondly remembered), but sadly....as it goes with all these shows, the red tape seems to be the reason these shows don't grow up with us...like Boy meets world did. It's also a shame the new stuff just doesn't hit as right, but given the guy who made the Recess series was nothing short of a GENIUS, it makes sense you don't find talent like his very often. Despite the characters being children, the way it takes their stories seriously from their perspective makes them so much more relatable, something we forget as adults and these New shows are NOT doing favors with. But honestly, the 90s really was something special to have many shows like this. Just...."real".
Your voice is so peaceful and Recess was one of my favourite cartoons, I clicked this the second I got the notification. Thanks for your content man! Also, I loved miss Finster so much through an adult lens. She was a stickler for rules, but in her own way, tried to make halloween fun for the kids.
I never realized how similar this show feels to.. Bob's Burgers of all things. I think its just the wholesome kid interactions lol. They really care about each other, and the adults care too. Love this series so much, and I somehow never saw this. Thank you Shawn!
@@Not-a-Bot-U-C Yup and he dragged the Ashley's little brothers into being snitches, they did a better job at tattling on others than Randall did. Randall, of course, got jealous and the one note, second or third grade brothers of the Ashleys ended up never been seen on the show again.
I always wanted you to cover Recess! It’s one of, if not my favorite Toon Disney series! Never does binging the show on Disney+ get old! I…words cannot explain what draws me to the series. It just speaks to me, especially since I can relate to many of the shenanigans and situations that goes on in the school (like several kids being away on a trip and you have to hang around a certain person or people for a time, or taking part in a hectic student council competition). Thanks for FINALLY touching upon this show, Shawn. It’s a MASTERPIECE beyond words!
They were going to reboot it with the kids as adults and it focussing on their kids in 3rd Street. It was shot down by Disney, and thank heavens they did because the concept sounded terrible.
@@lauraholmes2402 I was there when the pitch was leaked, all over Reddit. The comments were a warzone. Goes to show people still really love this series so many years later... I also made several posts discussing it, and someone came up with a BETTER pitch bible that's true to the series canon.
Although I would hate to know someone like Lawson in real life, I love him in this show. He's arrogant, but also completely clueless, and that makes him highly entertaining to laugh at. Every time he tries and fails to come up with a clever insult, I can't help but chuckle. It helps that his dialogue is also extremely quotable.
The Lilo and Stitch episode was, ironically, the Recess Gang (as well as Miss Finster) last appearance in any form of media… Who knows what’s in store for the Recess Gang later on?
This episode highlights one of my favorite things about the show. I'm very familiar with it, the last time I watched it was earlier this year, and I can't help but notice that Spinelli looks adopted as heck and no one every says a single thing about it. Those Italians have an Asian daughter and no one needs to have a long protracted conversation about it. I like seeing that kind of thing normalized. Also? Knowing that most of the writers of this show went on to eventually write for Bob's Burgers makes it really hard for me to not see the Spinelli's as a rough draft Bob, Linda, and Louise Belcher.
Actually this isn’t the only Halloween special this show has done, there was another one that was more of an anthology episode where Hustler Kid (or maybe it was another student) tells 3 different stories related to Halloween at 3rd Street School
Man, as someone who's a little young for Recess I'm always surprised by how much I relate to Spinelli. Especially since she's another Ashley that just doesn't feel she fits the name.
Tress Macneille, you are everywhere in animation ! Whether portraying over the top happy and coy and being matter of factly , or a cranky or maniacal older lady, it’s bound to be you!
In regards to Lawson having someone older who started the cycle of "you're too old for this thing so grow up and go ruin it for some others kids who are younger than you" It is confirmed that he has an older sister in the episode "Prince Randall" (I think thats its name anyway) basically the whole playground started talking about how their older siblings torment them, and Lawson mentions how his big sis put his hair in "piggly wiggly tails". A funny thing to think about that it could have been this sister who ruined the fun for him. Off topic but in that same episode and a couple of others we learn about Spinelli having at least 2 older brothers " Vido, and Joey" and I wish we got to officially meet them or see what they look like, one of them was in juvey I think they easily could have come up with an episode of that fi they wanted to. But sadly we will never meet them and I wish we got another season of this show of them in the 5th grade
Randall didn't get extra credit from Ms. Finster when he snitched. He got rewarded with cookies, and a sort of "seat of power". But that power came at the expense of him getting no respect from any of the kids.
Man you blew my mind! I warch the most Cartoons in English but Recees is one of tje few I only watched in German. I diddnt know she was Called Miss Finster in English, i always thought it was her German Name because Finster means Dark / Mean in German , like her Character who is a bit Dark Mean.
Word of advice, if someone says they don't like being scared, stop trying to scare them because it becomes bullying at that point. While a lot of people might have fun getting scared on Halloween especially, there are those who genuinely don't have fun that way. Respect their boundaries when they tell you they don't like being scared and stop intentionally trying to scare them afterwards. This was an awesome movie and things like this happen a lot in real life, unfortunately. However, even on Halloween, you need to respect the boundaries of others by not scaring them on purpose when they say they don't like it. Yes, this rant/advice is coming from personal experience and sometimes people have a medical condition where they shouldn't be scared at all because it could result in a heart attack, especially when that medical condition is a heart problem of any kind.
My husband and I loved this show. He would call me Spinelli out of affection ❤🥰🙌🏿 we used to watch it with my nieces and nephews and now they’re all grown up ☺️☺️☺️
Yes!!! You’re finally reviewing this show! Came out the year I was born and I watched it a little back then but I watch it and Lloyd in space lot more currently since they’re both on TH-cam for free.
Recess is one of my all time favorite series and Spinelli is my favorite of the recess gang her episodes always hit me deep esspically the ones with her and Mrs.Finister they were always such a great pair to me because mrs.Finister really was trying to help Spinelli showing her that age really doesn’t mean much it’s about fun and tradition growing up I always decorated my Christmas tree with my family I went to the pumpkin patch those things mean the world to me because it was the people I was with and the joy of the holiday I just went crazy decorating my Apartment for chirstmas and it gave me just as much joy as it did when I was little the idea that traditions need to stop because of age has always been kinda silly to me if anything that fun is more important as we get older for us for our kids and keeping hoilday spirt alive
Thank You so much for the message of this video Shawn it helped me out a lot when I really needed to hear it. For the last two and a half years I have had to put up with obsessive stalkers on Tumblr constantly making fun of me, judging me, and calling me a bad person for a mistake I made at 19. When all I have wanted to do since I started regularly going to therapy again is just have fun on and make friends through social media. Thanks to you and this episode though Shawn I now feel I can just laugh at my stalker bullies for being pathetic and obsessive losers who just cannot let past actions go. I cannot thank you enough with words to express just how much this video improved my mental health by leaps and bounds. So thank you for taking these nostalgic walks down memory lane with people Shawn. They contribute and do a lot more help than you could ever know.
think when they said we'll beat it refers to the pumpkins in their hands that they plan to destroy. i think it was most likely her weight that destroyed the pumpkin since its arent fully solid. also other kids sitting on it.
Man, now I really wanna go back and Binge watch the entire show. It's crazy to realize that Spinel is also Bobby Hill as time goes on. Between this, Hey Arnold, Ed Edd n' Eddy, You'd be living in the good time of shows not being afraid to have many memorable characters, even if many of the side characters mostly being one note stereo-types before realizing what kind of stereo-trope they represent you'd see in other shows of even films you'd grow up watching. And oh Boy, I barely remember Ms. Finster and yet what little memories I had of her remains true of her being my favorite character with the main group being forever memorable and likable in their own way.
@@mitchfletcher2386 OH! Her! That nice teacher in the school (though don't take her kindness as weakness, she WILL fight with her karate moves as shown in the movie)!
Good to see you back 💪🏾💪🏾. Playing vr and having you on in the background 🔥 I think ‘Recess’ was meant to watch as an adult. You can relate as a kid, but you can analyze way better as an adult. To me it’s on par with Hey Arnold. Maybe not as big, but up there.
This is a show that would do great with a spin off having the kids as parents now and having their kids attend third street elementary since in the show the kids parents attended the school so it could be a generation reboot.
20:16 funny enough in Codename: Kids Next Door, the candy pirates have their own kind of insult: “unless youre...sugar-free” in a manner similar to “unless youre a wuss” followed by a group “oooOOOOOOoooh”
Awesome video dude. I have to agree with Randall... hate that lil punk and Lawson if you ask me needs a 1 way trip to military school in order to get rid of that attitude of his. But this to me was a pretty good special^^
You know what Spinelli's mom does have that Peggy Bundy look to her, if her hair was red and he didn't cook or clean it would be a spot on cartoon copy. In Married With Children Peggy Bundy didn't cook or clean she mostly smoked, ate bon bons and spent alot of money on stuff you couldn't eat, but she loved her family in her own way. I swear that Lawson had something to do with the giant pumpkin crushing under Spinelli, I'm sure they weakened it for anyone that sat on it or be near it would cover them in pumpkin guts. It got me so mad that she believed Lawson when she knows full well he is a HUGE D bag!!!! He cant even beat Vince in sports and he's older than Vince too!!! TJ and Spinelli are my favorites characters I can't wait to see you do a deep down on this show and Happy New Year!!
45:37 Heck, I wouldn't put it pass Lawson and his crew to be putting down the likes of King Bob, who is like twelve. I've had dolts tell me that "after twelve, you're too old to go out trick-or-treating, because if you do, people think you're a pervert!" Lawson and his crew are just jerks that want to ruin everyone's Halloween, even if they are older than them. Heck, I think Lawson and his pals are bigger jerks to teenagers and 12-year-old kids like King Bob for going trick-or-treating.
I hated Ms.Finster as a kid, but when I watched older, I could see that she did care for the students that were under her care. I also know that there was an episode where Spinelli stayed with Ms.Finster and I just loved it!
Important clarification. Ms. Finster wasn't a 4th grade teacher. Actually the show didn't explain super well what she was but I always assumed vice principal seemed there didn't seem to be one. Her stepping in as a 5th grade teacher makes sense Also your second point about Randal. His relationship with Ms. Finster is explored a few times in the original show. It's basically outlined that he is capable of being cool and to a major degree is actually pretty self aware. It's more about balance. Randal is a known quantity and he's smart. He knows who to snitch on and who not to. Because if no one snitches the playground descends into anarchy even King Bob can't control. And if people snitch too much the result is also usually anarchy. Randal and TJ both agreed that it's best for everyone that Randal remains in that job, because he keeps the balance by being a little shit
Basically because there are zero other snitches in the school, his policing actually allows more "crime" to take place because Finster trusts that if Randal isn't telling her about it it's not important
@@TTTiefling69 Acktually(lol), Randall did have a rival snitch who was gunning for his job in a few episodes named Douglas. And in some of the later episodes, it's shown that Randall and Ms. Finster have a very strong friendship and clearly adore each other like a grandmother and her grandson. Randall gets super protective of her when she hurts her ankle and riding with her in the ambulance, and Ms. Finster keeps him company and trades food with him during lunch so he's not lonely.
@@distorteddivine3638 that's also true! Both scenarios of too much chaos and too much order thanks to Randal have been shown. And yeah I do think they genuinely like each other, but Randal isn't entirely there for selfish reasons either. He is providing a service to the school even if only people like TJ seem to get it
Where do you think the kids from Hey Arnold would be today? I see Helga as a therapist, Gerold as a sports agent, Arnold would be president and Eugene would be a billionaire winning the lottery several times 👍
There's this one episode where Miss Finster babysits Spinelli, where their relationship outside school actually starts. I'd say that one's worth looking at since this episode builds on what that episode did.
17:40 Even if Lawson beat the pumpkin with his dolt friends or Spinelli was too heavy to be sitting on the pumpkin, she could have always stood next to it.

I remember this special airing right after broadcasts of the 7th grade special.
I don't think Spinelli could of smashed that pumpkin under her weight. She may be heavier but look at the size of that thing compared to her. I'm so sure Lawson did something to it or it was atleast rotting from the inside , which I doubt since it's so early in the season and pumpkins are pretty sturdy for the most part. Especially those huge ones kids take pictures with!
I'm glad they had Mrs Finster being herself just fully, seeing this as a kid would have made me go "oh I react like her about this" verses what I actually did think.. Episodes of kids shows from this era always bugged me because until I was older and had friends deal with people ruining stuff for them, I genuinely thought pear pressure and teasing people to not be themselves was made up for TV. I was bullied as a kid and I still didn't realize some of it was due to them not liking that I was being myself.
The fact that there were so many bullies and irritated children on the show actually made it kind of good. A lot of shuttles have one main bully and his friends. Recess was really based off of the elementary school experience.

Merry Christmas to you, too!
Yeah. Dinosaurs are for all ages. They were majestic animals that deserve respect.
I can't wait for even more As Told by Ginger analysis!
We might even get to why the high school episodes never truly aired.
I've seen kids react exactly that way to things even more trivial then finding out something is sugar free, so honestly the reaction seems completely realistic to me
“For some reason, season 6 would be very short, and still have the kids in the 4th grade.”
Exactly! Why wouldn’t the kids be in the 5th grade after the movie? It just makes absolutely no sense at all!
They just decided to not do more.
They might have been done before the movie.
I never noticed the metaphor with Miss Finster's costumes. That's very clever.
If I remember, Randall got cookies from Miss. Finster for telling on the other kids. I believe that's what she means by brownie points
Yup. He did get some benefits out of that. The problem is he often went too far.
His face reminded me of a weasel. 😁
I hope we see more of Recess. This show had a LOT of good lessons
Absolutely.
They were going to reboot it with the kids as adults and it focussing on their kids in 3rd Street. It was shot down by Disney, and thank heavens they did because the concept sounded terrible.
@ isn’t that a sequel than a reboot?
@@dejaypage1575 I suppose it would be.
@@lauraholmes2402 I was there when the pitch was leaked, all over Reddit.
The comments were a warzone. Goes to show people still really love this series so many years later...
I also made several posts discussing it, and someone came up with a BETTER pitch bible that's true to the series canon.
Fan theory, Ms. Finster was at the other party earlier and came over, not to invite the Spinellies, but to give Ashley Spinelli a pep talk.
Let's not forget that spinelly's parent are secret agents
Recess Walked so that KND could run. (And I love them both!) I also remember when they had a crossover with Lilo And Stitch of all Disney shows!
The Lilo and Stitch episode was, ironically, the Recess Gang (as well as Miss Finster) last appearance in any form of media…
Who knows what’s in store for the Recess Gang later on?
Butch!!!
Terrifying tales of recess!!
I am SO excited for more Recess videos! This show was such a childhood staple
Randall didn't get extra credit from Ms. Finster when he snitched. He got rewarded with cookies, and a sort of "seat of power". But that power came at the expense of him getting no respect from any of the kids.
If I was Gus I would have dressed as El Diablo
Ah, love that episode! That would've worked so well since final episodes of shows love to hide easter eggs and references to older ones.
YES! I’ve been dying for a Recess video from you!
7:26 You know what? I’d try those Yam and Prune Cupcakes. Yam and prunes, I would’ve never thought about that combo.
“Yam cupcakes with prune icing” I think I just recoiled in horror
The Ashley's are the TV-Y equivalent of the Heathers.
As well as the Mean Girls.
Now, if the show was rated JUST a little higher, you'd hear them ask if butter was a good carbohydrate substitute...
This was one of my favorite shows growing up. How I’ve missed Recess.
It’s always so surprising to me that this special isn’t well known! This was always my favorite and was my first introduction to recess
Glad to know this episode wasn't a fever dream
My husband and I loved this show. He would call me Spinelli out of affection ❤🥰🙌🏿 we used to watch it with my nieces and nephews and now they’re all grown up ☺️☺️☺️
Miss Finster was not the 4th grade teacher. She was some sort of Recess administrator. Miss Grotke was their teacher.
Happy Holidays, DuskTilShawn! ❤🎉🎄🎅🎂🍿
Thanks for the update. It's always nice to see Recess content. I'm looking forward to seeing any future videos about this fun show.
They had a crossover with Lilo and Stitch! Could you do the Christmas special?
This show was classic. Instant warp back to elementary school
think when they said we'll beat it refers to the pumpkins in their hands that they plan to destroy. i think it was most likely her weight that destroyed the pumpkin since its arent fully solid. also other kids sitting on it.
Finster and yet what little memories I had of her remains true of her being my favorite character with the main group being forever memorable and likable in their own way.
the genuine annoyance and disgust for Lawson and his gang😭😭
Cannot wait to watch this! So geeked you did a recess video especially a spooky season one! Literally watch recess on TH-cam every day
Disney always does this. Also i remember watching this in tv
I will actually point out miss finster was their recess monitor. Their teacher in the fourth grade was that new age hippy lady.
Ms. Grotke!
@@mitchfletcher2386 OH! Her!
That nice teacher in the school (though don't take her kindness as weakness, she WILL fight with her karate moves as shown in the movie)!
17:15 if Spinelli was a kid today all of those kids would’ve had their phones out
That was such a cute episode :) I CANT BELIEVE SPINELLIE`S VA IS BOBBY HILL :OOO
another great video shawn! ^^ until the next one
@@l3eyondl3irthday “That’s my purse! I don’t know you!”
I need that video on Chocolate Boy from Hey Arnold, man! How much longer do you intend on making me wait? 🤣
I like how those kids were acting like fourth grade was too old to go trick-or-treating when I was doing it until I was 19, lol
That's not such a bad idea.
43:31 Well, mostly it's just Lawson and his crew getting joy out of ruining Spinelli and any other kids' joy for Halloween.
This wasn’t the holiday special I was expecting
20:16 funny enough in Codename: Kids Next Door, the candy pirates have their own kind of insult: “unless youre...sugar-free” in a manner similar to “unless youre a wuss” followed by a group “oooOOOOOOoooh”
Awesome as always thanks ❤ MY favorite was TJ
In glad that sequel series never took off, it being a trainwreck is being super super nice
You mean that awful reboot pitch that was leaked all over Reddit?
Yeah, I was there. I hated it, too. Recess deserves better.
Good to see you back 💪🏾💪🏾. Playing vr and having you on in the background 🔥
I got a brick for my birthday
Spinelly’s dad looks like Danny Devito in Matilda lol.
32:00 THIS WORLD IS A PRISION!!
“From my perspective, _you’re_ the one in the jail cell, and _I’m_ the one on the outside!”
Awesome video dude. I have to agree with Randall... hate that lil punk and Lawson if you ask me needs a 1 way trip to military school in order to get rid of that attitude of his.
But this to me was a pretty good special^^
Spinelli is actually her last name. She is in fact an Ashely. Also, Finster was always a 5th grade teacher, but also a recess monitor.
13:34 Katey Segal was Leela from "Fururama"/as well…
45:37 Heck, I wouldn't put it pass Lawson and his crew to be putting down the likes of King Bob, who is like twelve. I've had dolts tell me that "after twelve, you're too old to go out trick-or-treating, because if you do, people think you're a pervert!"
Lawson and his crew are just jerks that want to ruin everyone's Halloween, even if they are older than them. Heck, I think Lawson and his pals are bigger jerks to teenagers and 12-year-old kids like King Bob for going trick-or-treating.
I just love the ending where Ms. Finster's howling scared Lawson and his crew off. Serves them right!
It was like the Disney version of “hey arnold” to me 😂
I hated Ms.Finster as a kid, but when I watched older, I could see that she did care for the students that were under her care.
I also know that there was an episode where Spinelli stayed with Ms.Finster and I just loved it!
20:00 Nice camouflage with that sofa!
Important clarification.
Ms. Finster wasn't a 4th grade teacher. Actually the show didn't explain super well what she was but I always assumed vice principal seemed there didn't seem to be one. Her stepping in as a 5th grade teacher makes sense
Also your second point about Randal.
Miss finster was a Navy commodore? Wow that's the rank equivalent of colonel in the army
There's this one episode where Miss Finster babysits Spinelli, where their relationship outside school actually starts. I'd say that one's worth looking at since this episode builds on what that episode did.
I definitely think the rewatch of the show should have come before the review of this special. Some info got messed up.
17:40 Even if Lawson beat the pumpkin with his dolt friends or Spinelli was too heavy to be sitting on the pumpkin, she could have always stood next to it.
Hey all you hardcore CN fans out there, you guys should make a fan-made Cartoon Network 2D animated series that act like a long-lost 1990’s Saturday morning fantasy adventure cartoon masterpiece that also came out at the exact same day as both VHS and Laserdisc themselves too, via streaming service, that’s not just a absolute blast to watch all the way through from start to finish nor it’s one of those kinds of shows that I can totally see our boy Shawn right here and the other animation retrospective TH-camrs old and new and even all of the ’90’s kids that was born in that decade itself will absolutely fall head over heels with this one guarantee until their grave and said TH-camrs themselves will make their very own retrospective out of it and yet at the very end of said retrospective, Shawn and said other animation retrospective TH-camrs alike will tell ya the exact same thing every single time, “Folks, this BARELY scratches the surface of this top-tier long-lost beloved classic that we never gotten back then” nor it’s a experience that’s truly the textbook definition of “Welcome back to your beloved 1990’s era childhood folks; it almost feels like you’ve never left us at all and that’s good enough for all of us” that we’ve all ever seen in quite some time nor even it’s a flatout good funforgettable 1990’s era Saturday morning fantasy adventure cartoon experience that’s going to hit you like a truck when you least expect it, especially for the future newcomers out there in the world, in the best way possible no matter if you’re in your 80’s/‘90’s, but it’s also quite possibly hands down the, if not, THE #1 all-time greatest and most phenomenally fun impressive ’90’s era Cartoon Network Saturday morning fantasy adventure cartoon show with next to absolutely zero pretty meh to downright dumpster fire bad episodes to speak of whatsoever that we should’ve gotten back then that would’ve been a overall overnight worldwide phenomenon on day one and always will be to this very day onward with unquestionably no regrets to speak of whatsoever, period! Also later on in this series, Eric’s all-time favorite and equally as adventurous young college adult cousin from across town finally decides to start a lesbian relationship with her longtime crush, Beth (who could be a possible twin relative to Miss Briggs from SWAT CATS The Radical Squadron herself, but a bit more attractive to behold than usual to ever put in a family-friendly Cartoon Network title like this, official project or not), who works as a very proud mascot at said equally as adventurous cousin’s all-time favorite party hard like it’s 1999 lesbian girls/drop dead Maxim Magazine supermodel sexy gorgeous lesbian girls only epically indescribable fun and most exotically wicked radical fun 24/7 rave party/beach resort ever in existence to the point where once you take step into this radical place alone, you’ll absolutely treat it as if it’s your secondary home and you never want to leave, period; And then later on her life gets EVEN BETTER when they hire her to become a secondary proud mascot alongside her lovely lesbian girlfriend, Beth. I remember this special airing right after broadcasts of the 7th grade special.
for real though Finster really was and still is the GOAT
The Hustler Kid was my favorite character
I don't think Spinelli could of smashed that pumpkin under her weight. She may be heavier but look at the size of that thing compared to her. I'm so sure Lawson did something to it or it was atleast rotting from the inside , which I doubt since it's so early in the season and pumpkins are pretty sturdy for the most part. Especially those huge ones kids take pictures with!
From what I remember Ms. Finster gives Randal cookies for being a snuck up and snitch on the kids.
I always make a point of 'liking' and commenting on videos of creators I enjoy.
Its like you read my mind, I recently started my first Recess rewatch as an adult
The fact that there were so many bullies and irritated children on the show actually made it kind of good. A lot of shuttles have one main bully and his friends. Recess was really based off of the elementary school experience.
