Thanks so much for watching! Did you give this version of The Fairly OddParents a chance? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Also, which version of The Fairly OddParents (Original Series/Fairly Odder/A New Wish) is your favorite? Let me know!
@@TheGirlWhoWalksAlone777 Well since it's supposed to be a continuation of the OG show and Timmy is in college now, Vicky would be much older too so she's maybe in her mid 20s? (Idk how to count). So she's not underage, tho Crocker is wayy older too if this is years later- I just think it's completely out of character for her to love anyone who isnt JUST LIKE HER, like in that one episode where Timmy wishes up a boyfriend for her. And a weird choice in general?
This show tried so hard to appeal to kids that it dropped any and all intelligence or adult focused content, yet somehow also failed miserably at being child focused. How is that possible?!
What, you're saying that the studio that gave us modern classics like Tyler Perry's Young Dylan and The Really Loud House doesn't know how to appeal to its target demographic? (i hate that i have to make it clear that this is sarcasm)
the only reason i even know about this show is because an actress i really like, mary kate wiles, plays vicky. she's a REALLY good actress and a wonderful singer, it's such a shame that THIS is the project she was put on
In regards to the section about it being removed, that's honestly becoming such a massive problem in all aspects of the entertainment industry. The companies that own various shows, games, movies, etc don't view them as something anyone deserves access to unless they can continue to make a huge profit off of it, and in many cases they'll even restrict access just in case they do decide to charge for it again in the future. It's part of why so many shows and games in particular are almost completely inaccessible these days through legal means, because the companies involved had no interest in making them available through more modern methods, while also cutting off access to the older methods.
There also the fact they the Ned declassified episode where Cosmo and Wanda were featured to my knowledge did have better animation so this wasn’t technology limitations this was most likely a budget limitation
Mentioning Victorious had me thinking that, if they were to try their hand at a genuinely good live action FOP series, Liz Gillies (Jade) would be a damn good Vicky.
Two things going to my head. First: the jail scene looks like something out of a 2000 video game. second: Crocker looks like an anime villain in the jail cell
There's some legit talent in this cast that's completely wasted. I'm a huge fan of the actress who plays Vicky, Mary Kate Wiles. She's so talented and did really well with what she was given. It's just a shame that what she was given was...that. If you wanna see her in something GOOD, I recommend Spies are Forever, Headless: a Sleepy Hollow Story, and Wayward Guide to the Untrained Eye. Also, Laura Bell Bundy plays the mom, who was literally THE ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST ELLE WOODS in Legally Blonde the Musical
Here's something about the show that surprises me a little bit that no one has mentioned. They say that Roy is the star player of his basketball team and yet he is the shortest kid in the school. You'd think the show would use that fact for a joke or at least have a character point it out. But that would require self-awareness, and that's clearly the last thing this show has.
So this show (The Fairly Odd Parents: Fairly Odder) is basically the Loonatics Unleashed of Nickelodeon. With the only difference being that Loonatics Unleashed actually has fans and a cult following, Fairly Odder doesn't.
Kinda shows you that any attempt to make a live action version of a cartoon is not a great idea, especially when it's rushed as much as this show was. It was just a cash grab on a series that was really good(until the last couple seasons).
I just really “WISH” that they would stop using Cosmo & Wanda as the main fairies when they reboot the show. It’s almost feels like rebooting Pokémon and giving the new main character Ash’s Pikachu
I'm willing to bet that originally another live action series was planned, but at the last minute Nickelodeon executives decided to make it tied/related in with the second most popular franchise after SpongeBob SquarePants and profits they saw it as a brilliant idea. Another retcon and more plot holes.
The thing that this series and even the new series misssed out on is Timmy had a miserable life wherever he went. He was bullied and got bad grades at school, he had neglectful parents, and had a mean babysitter. Everywhere he went was conflict. Cosmo and Wanda helped balance out Timmy's life.
Agreed Viv and Roy and even Hazel tbh really don’t need fairies. You could make the “external vs internal” excuse but it barely amounts to anything. Plus now that Hazel’s friends and brother know about the fairies there’s practically no stakes.
I honestly checked out after a single episode of this show and I’m glad that I did because it just wasn’t worth my time. I love your channel and your videos though!
It feels like so many ips are trying to expand its story or make it into a bigger franchise. The live action FOP show is what made me think how unnecessary it can be to continue a ip.
okay but real talk, "there aren't even any otters!" made me laugh. I could never bring myself to watch this show, so I'm glad to know I'm not missing anything.
The worst thing about Fairly Odder, is that this show is now considered "lost media" because of Paramount burying it. As someone who was there when we found legitimate lost media worth finding (e.g. The SpongeBob blink-182 music video, Crybaby Lane, and the cracked man), there's going to be a group of lost media enthusiasts who're going out the way to preserve this pile of trash just so it's not lost.
Oh wow. This thing! Yeah I remember when people found out how bad a lot of the animation was and how they had farmed it out. I believe those people might have been underpaid too.

It’s kinda embarrassing that Ned’s Declassified, a Nickelodeon sitcom that came out two decades ago, was able to integrate Cosmo and Wanda into live-action better than this trainwreck.
This Fairly Odd Parents reboot shouldn’t have been made, the premise doesn’t work in live action, it makes The Really Loud House look like The Brady Bunch! They can’t blend cartoon fairies like Cosmo and Wanda with live action characters, even Butch Hartman hates the reboot!
there is 0 way to watch this so I couldn't even give it a chance if I wanted to. I DID give a new wish a chance and loved it and WISH Netflix had dropped all of season 1 in November because I'm scared they split it to mess with its chances of getting more seasons
This is why the creators of Danger Force (yes, they worked on this, which says a lot...even if I thought DF was a'ight) should not be tasked with running something from another medium...or let alone, something they weren't originally involved with. They should have plus if it was lost media nobody would have cared because it’s so bad
I was just about to say that
As an infinity train fan, I respectfully disagree.
I'm disagreed as well
Let's petition for this to happen to all of the live action Loud House content.
Vicky had a crush on Mr. Crocker??? Yeah, this nonsense deserves to be forgotten.
