This is absolutely the most informative video I have seen on the subject. No one else has discussed the red spots and the causes, no one else has explained what the colors of the marks on your leaves mean in terms of watering or sun. Absolutely excellent video except the music is entirely too loud. I know sometimes we want to be hip and treat our audiences to music, but your information was much more important than the background music. Please do a discussion on the Monstera and the palms that I see you have growing. You have an excellent knowledge base.

Be very careful when misting leaves and don't do it too heavily. The reduced airflow indoors can cause leaves to stay wet for too long and promote fungus or rot. Make sure there's good airflow or set a fan to run for a couple minutes. As long as the leaves dry out within an hour, you should be fine.

I'm on my third fiddle leaf fig plant and have had this one for about two years with zero leaf growth. I panicked previously when I tried repotting it and several of the leaves went yellow and dropped off. After watching this video last week I felt courageous enough to try repotting it again and watered it thoroughly and gave it some fertilizer - now after only a few days it's growing a new leaf! Thanks for this amazing video and helping me finally understand this plant!!

Excellent video! I truly enjoyed it.. you have a gorgeous very enchanting plat corner!!! I loved it, inspired me to create something like that..I have two giant Fiddle Figs, Mama Margaret Robinson 😄 (25 years old) and daughter Lucy Robinson, that I propagated from 1 leave from her mother (10years old now). Now I'm propagating more daughters. Whish I can share pictures!
I need to report them now, and I'm considering building a self watering system pot for self irrrigation. What do you think?

mine is outside in the shade. I live where it gets 104 degrees in the summer and 45 degrees in winter or lower. In the winter I put it in a frost prevention bag. It is about 7-8 ft tall and has many branches. I am now having a difficult time propagating this plant. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I use just the leaf in water, changing water daily, I also have to stems in water but nothing on any thing I do.

I have three cuttings from a huge figgy that I’m water propping. They started off great, but now they seem stuck in the “popcorn” stage with white bumps on the stems but no roots. It’s been 5+ weeks. Leaves are still green and strong, but I’m wondering if I should move them to soil or just keep waiting for roots. Any thoughts? BTW, thanks for your great content!

My husband who knows nothing at all about plants tried to be nice and surprise me with one of these. He didn't know what it was but he thought it looked cool. I could immediately tell something was wrong with it so I whisked it outside and depotted it. The soil was chock full of tiny little white spiders and the leaves had tons of edema. I blasted every grain of soil off with the hose, power-washed the leaves, wiped each one top and bottom with Neem oil, and put in some fresh sterile soil. I just knew it wasn't going to make it. Three months later it's thriving and I've grown to love it so much.
I would never have picked it myself but you're right about their character. It's become one of my favorites now and I look forward to propagating it when it grows a bit taller so I can have more than one.

Awesome video, thanks for great advices. I am reading some comments below about high volume of the background music. I hear the voice more than the music and all sounds perfect to me. Blessings for everyone. ❤️

I heard him fine although the music is loud. I’ve killed two figs so I’m taking a break for a while 😢

Thanks for all the tips on this plant. I have one that I’m trying to save!😩 Do you cut any browning or spotted leaves completely or just cut away/off the damaged areas of the leaf? Do you have a video pertaining to your home/house plant fertilizer? If so, please share the link. Thanks again for such an informative video. I’m a new subscriber and plan to binge watch your previous videos throughout the next few months. For the record, you don’t need any music other than maybe a brief intro/outro. You provide a great deal of detailed content. Your viewers are listening closely and probably taking notes, especially if you are providing plant care tips. The music becomes distracting after a few seconds, no matter the volume. Just adding my two cents, respectfully, as a new subscriber. Thanks again!
