@@lionheartmerrill1069 I didn't specifically have anything in mind, just the general weirdness/occult with LA/Hollywood that you don't hear from the mainstream media. Sorry to hear that about your wife, on both accounts. The former is the exact reason why I'm MGTOW, but you sound like a good man for sticking around and taking care of her in her time of need.
I watched it three more times within a week of seeing it for thr first time. My Brit Lot professor showed us this, Fright Night, and another vampire movie while we talked about Dracula. Such a damn good movie.
I didn't see this movie as a kid in the 80s (makes sense, as it isn't a kids movie), but I clearly remember seeing the posters for it up at the video store. You know, those classic Lost Boys posters with the red background. As much as I love being able to watch movies at the drop of a hat, online, sometimes I miss the times when you had to wait for it to be on tv, see it at the theater, or rent a tape for the VCR. It was, in a way, more special, because it wasn't immediate gratification, like it is now. I remember going to the video store as a kid and it was such a treat. I remember video stores around here used to also actually rent you the VCR itself, because when they were first out, they were expensive and not everyone had them. We used to rent the VCR, and then the tape, and then had to lug it home and hook it all up.
I LOVE Kiefer. He may be my favorite actor. He's so humble and doesn't think his career was as good as others do. 24, Lost Boys, The Sentinel, The Cowboy Way, Taking Lives, etc, etc. I love everything he's done. I really appreciate him and all the entertainment he's given to myself and my family. I hope he sees this, but I doubt he will. You are very appreciated, my man.
Kiefer was very generous on '24' season 5 by upgrading Background Actors to Principle roles, me being one of most important one. He went to bat for me, convinced the Producers & Director that I get a speaking role to help the scene progress the way they wanted... I was so honored! He's a stand-up the of guy!
Fun Fact : if anyone didn’t know, Jason Patric is the son of the actor of one of the most influential horror movies of all time! Actor Jason Miller who played Father Damien Karras! In The film The Exorcist (1973).
@@softshallow7435 An icon of early television with The Honeymooners, although before my time I'm familiar with it. "To the moon, Alice," was a part of the lexicon. When Kiefer talked about Corey Haim, I lost it. It’s still hard to believe he’s gone... Then Kiefer brought up ‘An Eye For An Eye’. I went to see that when I was 17 and it traumatized me to the point of having to walk out of the theater at one point. I’ve always loved Kiefer, but I hated him with a passion in that film. I guess that’s all part of him being the great actor he is though! Thank you for sharing this great panel. The Lost Boys film and soundtrack remain in my top 10 favorites from the 80’s. It’s such an iconic film and they couldn’t have had a better cast. Everyone involved rocked their parts. 👏
@@Pazuzu82 Salem’s Lot is the Greatest Vampire film ever created in my opinion, gave me serious nightmares as a kid, it was put out as a mini series and not a feature film but the Greatest Vampire Flick ever in my opinion and I’m a Huge Lost Boys Fan.
Ohh no I'd disagree with that...Lost Boys is best, then Bram Stocker's Dracula. Not sure where Interview with the Vampire falls, but it's waaaaay down at the bottom of the list, in my opinion. I mean, I love Tom Cruise, but that movie just doesn't fly.
This is awesome... Ever since this movie came out, I think of it as a Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, and Jamie Gertz movie. Not a Corey's movie like most people do. I think these older actors made the movie what it was. I enjoyed this panel very much. Thanks for the upload.
Kiefer Sutherland was only 18 in that movie. He sure looked older, though. He always did look older than his age, I've seen interviews with him in his early twenties where he could easily pass for mid-thirties.
1987 was a wonderful time in my life, I remember seeing this movie at the drive-in and it was totally awesome to the max, if you're not from the '80s you will never get it.
It was very cool to finally see Jason Patric attend to something like this talking about “The Lost Boys”. Its unfortunate that the fan questions were unrelated to “The Lost Boys”. I would’ve asked if Keifer is still in contact with the other vampire actors. I would’ve asked Jason Patric if he stayed in touch with Cory Haim prior to his passing. They did have a very good sibling chemistry to just be related to method acting. Plus, what Jason’s relationship with Diane Wiest was like, because even they had great chemistry, too. Thank you very much for posting this. :)))
I remember my older brother sitting me down to watch The Lost Boys and we were locked in. There was nothing quite like it and there never will be again.
I remember meeting the actors that played Dwayne and Paul. They were so cool and friendly. I fangirled SO HARD! 😆 I also got a photo with G Tom Mac and heard him play "Cry Little Sister" live. Some of the most fun moments of my life! I will always love The Lost Boys. 🖤

I disagree with the moderator on the clothing. Most of the costumes still look cool, really the stuff that screams 80's was worn by Corey Haim and Max (in a couple scenes). Kiefer is pretty quick on his feet with these questions, effortlessly coming up with interesting anecdotes.
@Paul Joseph re: Corey Haim’s wardrobe. I remember reading in a teen magazine shortly after the movie came out that Corey either used his own clothes for the movie or went out and personally picked out the clothes he was going to wear.
@@emmabauer1906 Yeah, they really did. Especially because of the looks of Dwayne and Paul. Marko had an indescribable look and David (Kiefer) seemed to be combining 80s metal band with Billy Idol (whom he hilariously mentioned in this video as inspiring his hairstyle for the character).
I always liked the part of grandpa coming to the rescue of his family and saying that's the part of that place he never liked was all the damn vampires while he opened a Pepsi. I'm 55 now and remember when it came out took my girlfriend to the drive in to see it in my 82 corvette good ole days back when you called a date from your home phone and we actually talked to our friends. These days it's all texting seems like we're gaining things but at the same time losing I guess I'm ole school I still appreciate what has passed the 80s were some good days and movies like lost boys will always take me back there and it still holds up to the stuff out today better if you ask me
I'm 46 now and you're right about it all being about texting and stuff now, but at the same time we are all responsible for our choices, so if you don't want to text, just don't. Nobody is making you. Not at all trying to be rude to you, it's just that I so often see people complain about texting and stuff, but then they go and do it! Like....if you don't like it, don't do it. I don't have a cell, and I don't want one. The last thing I want is to have to deal with irritating texts from people all the time, and to always be available to people. I don't want to be a slave to my phone, as so many people are. I have a laptop, I have a tablet, that's more than enough technology for me. And I only got the tablet so I could easily read free Library books on my local Library's app. Technology is great for some things, but the mistake we make is that people never seem to think about what they actually want from technology, they just blindly follow what everyone else is doing. Me, I think about what I want from it. I want a laptop for my writing, for things like social media, email, free movies, free tv shows, free documentaries, etc., and I want a tablet for free Library books. So that's what I do. Sure, once in a blue moon someone complains that they can't text me or think that one day is ''too long'' (hahahahaha) for me to email them back, but, oh well. I'm not going to be at everyone's beck and call all the time, or do what they think is best, I'm gonna do what I know is best for me.
Wish Feldman was involved more. Even across the pond here as a kid growing up in the 80s, the cult films shaped our lives also. I still remember wrapping a red football sock round my head Rambo style, with my mate, running around the woods in summer pretending to be a 'vampire hunter'. Lost Boys, Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Standby Me etc etc absolute masterpieces!

I met Jason Patric 7-8 years ago in my home town..of all places LOL. He was shooting a TV movie called "Copperhead" set back in the 1800's. The site was being shot at a historical settlement close to Fredericton NB. I met him at a local gym working out. I heard he was in town for work and but never expected to see him at the gym! I finally worked up the nerve up to approach him. I introduced myself and said it was a pleasure to meet him. He said "Likewise" shook my hand and made a little small talk about all the rain we were getting so shooting was delayed. Another fella at the gym clued in to who it was and chit chatted with us a little. Then Jason headed off to the shower and I left for home. Last I seen of hm. Turns out her left the TV movie for reasons I do not know. Very pleasant guy, down to earth and approachable. Wish I could of chatted longer with him.
There is so much I love about the Lost boy movie ! I was born in 1981 and the 80’s movies and music will and are very special to me🤩😎🤩! Its my untainted childhood when creativity was celebrated not special effected to the max !

Well Kiefer did say something about there was supposed to be a prequel showing the big earthquake that hit san francisco in 1906, ya know the one he told Michael about when he was showing him the cave. And the cave David and his boys lived in was what opened up from that earthquake and its what let Max out.
Someone should say excuse me Kiefer but I would like to congratulate Jason Patrick on making an incredible drama that was very unique at that time. So good in fact, it still holds up today, ‘Rush’. His performance is incredible.
Fun Fact: When Klaus Mikealson (from The Vampire Diaries & The Originals) was first being developed, the creators had an idea and wanted his personality to have a mix of Lestat (Interview With The Vampire & Queen of the Damned) and David (The Lost Boys) before even finding out Joseph Morgan would be the best fit for him.

Lost Boys is one of my top five favorite movies. Jason and Keifer were very relaxed, and engaging during this interview, and I really enjoyed hearing the meat and bones of what made the perfect recipe for this amazing, and unique movie. It is a unique movie in the sense that, I loved every single character, the film locations, the story, from start to finish, and the sound track. There isn’t anything I can find negative about this movie, and there aren’t many movies that I can say that about, even if they are good movies. It’s heart breaking about Corey Haim’s death. Thank you to the entire production and every single person that put their personal touch into this movie!! I still watch this ,ovie, and it never gets old !! 💕
Kiefer and jason did a good job playing their roles in lost boys they had such talent at such a young age, and so did the 2 coreys, feldman and the late haim.
There have been 2 sequels to the lost boys and the main star was Corey Feldman, Corey Haim made a cameo appearance in the end of the movie and in the 2nd sequel the 3rd movie Jamison newlander the other frog brother co stars ,the sequels were by no means not even a tenth as good as the classic original lost boys, if Jason Patric would have reprised his character Michael, and maybe if Kiefer Sutherland would have made a appearance in the lost boys sequels as another character the sequels would have been far better
I watched this film when it 1st came out, watched it soooooo many times,my kids are 20 and 17,and they just watched it last year, they both said it's in there top 5 favourite films,I believe the film just gets better.
I have been a huge fan of Kiefer since way back, but I do think it’s a bit unfortunate there were several questions to him about other films, so Jason didn’t have as much opportunity to speak.
Man -- CHEMISTRY -- these guys have it and I am liking it :) Love them so much!!! :) This is one of the best and most relaxed and legitimate interviews I've seen recently :)
Remember watching this movie on tv when I was 7 and asking my Dad to record It on VHS for me. Bought the CD with the soundtrack later on. I'm really glad It made part of my childhood - that intro is a true work of art.

Those of you who think Jason looks bored--watch a few more of these convention interviews. Kiefer tells the exact same stories every time, almost word for word. That might have something to do with it.
" If I don't give you nightmares, I'm not doing my job" nice, I like that. The thing is that I hate nightmares, I wonder what the % is of people who like them? Whatever, 1 thing is for sure, you are beautiful.

They both seem so down to earth. Such a classic movie. Glad I stumbled upon this.
I met Kiefer Sutherland when I was 10 when he did Stand by me part of it was filmed in my home town.
One of my all time favorite movies, I hope you had a great encounter with him he seems super nice. Did you meet anyone else while they were there?
Saw this in the theater the summer of 87. I have literally watched it once a year since. My sincerest appreciation to everyone involved.
I watched it three more times within a week of seeing it for thr first time. My Brit Lot professor showed us this, Fright Night, and another vampire movie while we talked about Dracula. Such a damn good movie.
Wished I could have seen this in the theater!!
There really is nothing like the lost boys, before and after. Love at first sight 87’

True
💯
It really takes me back every-time I see it. It’s a classic, for sure!
🥰
Lost boys was my grandmother’s favorite movie and now it’s one of my favorite movies of all time
I LOVE Kiefer.
Season 5 was my fave season.
@@janie3117 By far the best, went downhill after that sadly.

Fun Fact : if anyone didn’t know, Jason Patric is the son of the actor of one of the most influential horror movies of all time! Actor Jason Miller who played Father Damien Karras! In The film The Exorcist (1973).
And is the grandson of the famous comedian, Jackie Gleason.

Wow
Nope I didn't know!!!
the Lost Boys will never age, kinda fits the theme of the movie . thanks uploader.
👏
Jason doesn't make many movies, but when he does, they ARE FIRE. I love him forever.
...like Speed 2.
Sleepers
Narc is an awesome movie
After dark my sweet is an excellent film and he is brilliant in it. Not many people know about it. Even Roger Ebert had it on his list of great films.

The Lost Boys and Interview with the Vampire are the best vampire movies of all time
Yep....true !
YES
I still put the 1931 clasaic "Dracula" as #1. The Lost Boys is #2.
@@mylovesongs2429 I also have a soft spot for Fright Night.
I was in Santa Cruz, California when they were filming. Fantastic experience
Did you get to meet anyone?
Wow, Kiefer is such a humble nice guy, especially for a movie star.

I would’ve asked if Keifer is still in
contact with the other vampire actors.

The vampire gang did look like a metal band though.

Jason is a very underrated actor he is awesome in everything
Stand by me is one of my fav movies. That story with River❤ and the song is epic.

Both of these men are burned into my memory. They both were amazing in The Lost Boys. The movie would never have been what it was without them.

As I watched the interview I saw so many mannerism and facial exspressions from Keifer that reminded me of his father Donald.
I love Donald Sutherland
