    I wish Apple would combine the Fitness and Health apps into a single app. I’d prefer the training load info to be integrated into my Health app dashboard.

    I’m a former distance runner who is out of shape and over weight, but wants to get back in shape. The metric I want / need is how hard and often can I run / hike / cycle without pulling a muscle in my leg and setting me back a week and a half. These heart based training load numbers really aren’t showing that. I’m actually not entirely sure what they are supposed to show, but it isn’t that. They seem very focused on optimal performance, not general health and fitness. This Apple Apple Watch thing seems maybe to be sort of a move in the direction I’m talking about?

    Still won't replace dedicated sport watches for atheletes because of the battery life, but a great start to sway casual people away from spending unnecessarily on watches that they don't need. Also I really wish all the companies take temperature into account when it comes to training load. The same distance and pace in 60 degree weather is not the same in 90 degrees.

      But how long can the AW do that?
      Don't get me wrong, I was hella happy with my AW s5 back on the days when I was on the Apple ecosystem, but there is people that do have a lifestyle that doesn't get well along having just 5 to 6 gps hours of activity. There's people that does go on a hike very early in the morning and then continue with their day, for those by 2 pm AW will be dead.

    Nice matrix but not on par with the like of Garmin or even Coros.
    Not calculated HRV during workouts or enough at day or night,is not acceptable for full fitness tracking.
    For one looking for polished smartwatch this “extra” features are positive add but not much more then that.

      When you tap the Help above at the right corner there is a written explanation;
      Performance Condition
      As you track an activity with your Garmin watch, performance condition analyzes your pace, heart rate and heart rate variability to make a real-time assessment of your ability to perform compared to your average fitness level.
      During the first 6 to 20 minutes of an activity, your watch displays your performance condition score. Performance condition can be an indicator of fatigue, especially at the end of a long training workout.

    Am I the only one completely disappointed with with Apple fitness gives the final user?
    To put things in context I own a Garmin forerunner 935 since 2017 and up to three weeks ago, I purchased an Ultra 2; I must say that I am very disappointed with the whole software from Apple regarding its fitness applications. My treadmill run was off by 1.6 km, my step count takes up to five minutes to update, no external fitness compatibility at all( hrm, treadmills, or indoor cycling) etc..
    Garmin gives us way more information with way more lasting battery and a way better app with precise data.
    What is with the hype, has anyone really tested out an apple watch?

    • @DesFit
      @DesFit  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      An Apple Watch is a smartwatch first, sports and fitness watch second. A Garmin is a sportswatch first, smartwatch second. Each company does certain things better than the other such as Garmin having robust sports features but not the tight integration with a phone like an Apple Watch. Different priorities with each one where one may suit a certain individual more than the other.

    for me as a Garmin user, every information about training is important. unfortunately, I tried apple watch and they give incredibly little information. then of course there is the battery... if it doesn't last even two days with activity, I don't understand at all how it can be called a sports/outdoor watch... I have a Garmin tactix amoled and I don't care about the battery at all... Apple has priorities elsewhere and that's why they can never be a full-fledged sports partner.
