    I had 2 of these gti's back in the day.....awesome cars ! The centre piece of the seats were different though. Mine were red and black little blocks, the two tone colour ones were not for the Dutch market but German. My 1990 1.6 had red carpets but my 1992 1.9 carpets were grey. Some flocking in the boot would look a lot beter i think. Great build mate ! Love your work.

    If I was doing this build I’d add flocking to the trunk floor and to the underside of the truck lid as most cars have some sort of fabric on the underside.

    Rear trunk- yes id add the flocking. Also I would definitely would want to add detail to the small vents and interior pieces with a bit of panel accent or dark black in the recesses of the vent openings so as to hide the fact that it is a solid piece of plastic.

  • @BoCarlson

    Watching you install the carpet gave me a idea so I grab my double-sided sticky tape slap it on some plastic and flopped it it actually don't look half bad and it's really easy and quick if you end up trying it let me know what you think

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have tried it in the past. Not a bad idea at all, even looks pretty decent. I simple thought it took to much time aligning and getting the tape where i wanted it to go a bit much

    • @robertmckelvey3091
      @robertmckelvey3091 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheScalemodelingChannel true I think I'm going to try it on a few models cuz after putting that over the double-sided sticky tape it actually looks a lot better than what I do normally but as you can tell on my channel model Maverick I can't really leave well enough alone and I go overboard on making it completely custom something I'm trying to stop but every time I look at something I'm like hey that ashtray needs to open the center console needs to open the glove box need to open way overboard to me Supra that I made cuz of your fast and furious Supra but I put way too much into it

    These Chinese 1/8 kits are just a waste of money. Judging by 312T4 - it costs almost the same as any MFH 1/12, but quality is nowhere near a proper model kit. With monthly packages buyer has an illusion of economy, but in fact it's more expensive than a usual kit. Just an enormously expensive toy for a sandbox.
