Totally agree, as someone who has made models, however, nowhere near to this attention of detail!🤔, and then, someone Who has been lucky enough to drive the real McCoy in this very colour many moons ago, it was like seeing the real car again, and yes Guys, What a Car!, pee all over My MK1 3ltr Capri!, Did I sound like Clarkson then?!😆

Thank you for bringing to life (in miniature) a car that is so significant to my childhood! It’s the reason for my love of all things automotive and bonded a very special man to my family for his entire life. His passing affected me greatly, and seeing your build brought back many fond memories of my time with him so many years ago.

This is mind bendingly phenomenal. I have owned 3 road going BMW e21s and often thought of getting 1:18 scale model and adding additional super detail as you have done to this 2002 model, but alas I do not possess even 1% of your skill or patience. It was mesmerising watching this video especially with the meditative music in the background. I liked the way you gave a running commentary which included the challenges and the pitfalls. Excellent camerawork and editing too. Simply stunning work, you even have the windscreen pillar mounted aerial...astonishing.👍😎

There used to be a television show on this topic, before there was internet. It was on PBS and seldom televised. I treasured it so much. Subscribed!
In 1982, aged 19 years old, a 2002tii was my very first car!
It was a 1974 car, so square rear lights and black plastic front grille. It Atlantik (dark blue) with a light grey interior.
Your build takes me back to that car and is very inspiring.
I like the orange colour for this car but the yellow looks good too

This car is absolutely gorgeous, I used to build model cars when I was younger, then fell out of it, now as an adult on disability, I started again for a relaxing hobby, nowhere near this good though

This model is a spitting image of the 1973 2002 that i restored and used to own and drive.
This Golf-yellow color in combination with the 3 piece alu grill and round rear lights was only available between 1971 and 1973. After that the front grill became black plastic and the rear lights became square.

On a 2002 I made my driving license in 1970. 7 schooling hours including the test. Beautiful car! The round rear lights are fantastic.

Very impressive. You have the fine motor skills of a surgeon! Thanks for sharing. (that engine with the light blue oil filter and dark red fan looks quite real - those different shades of metallic paint for the engine block and exhaust pipes made it look amazing).
