    Wow! That's going to look amazing once finished. I'd like to do something like this but I get the feeling it's cheaper to buy a real car! 😂

    Does it worth 1200 euros?. It looks awesome, and I have no idea of prices, so to me 1200 is a lot of money.

    Can you buy a full set from IXO or you have to wait month by month

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel

      Once the magazines are all out. Then the full set can be bought. Now only magazines 1 to 11 are available from the total 24

    If i built one of these it would have to be painted sorrento green, i had a lovely 1.9 back in the day, not stupidly fast but so much fun to drive.

    There are a lot of 1/8 kits about in what is called 'part works'; de-agostini seems to be the most popular, but the cost by the time the model is finished often ends up being over £1000!

      True, but for ppl in the EU that will cost us even more! because of the Brexit.

    A few years ago, Ixo / Atlas edition was looking for people who wanted to buy a Volvo Amazon sport 1958 in scale 1: 8, so I submitted an expression of interest, but unfortunately there were too few who wanted to buy so there was no production of the model.
    Can you get the brochures / instructions in other languages, such as English or Swedish?

    The model is great but waiting 2 years to complete it is insane.
    Imagine the company goes bankrupt or they just stop the production due to lack of interest by customers ? ( saw stuff like that happen here in the netherlands)

    Two years waiting on parts? I don't get it. What makes it worth the wait?

    • @louishoussa1166
      @louishoussa1166 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nothing. It just makes the insane price tag easier to swallow and will most likely trap you with the good ol' sunk cost fallacy

    • @DustyShedGarage
      @DustyShedGarage 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i've never really understood either. but i assume that since a good 1/8 scale model can easily cost hundreds, splitting it into 24 smaller installments can make it easier to justify, and i suppose its something to look forward to once a month, ends up drawing you in, as once youve done say 6 months worth, you've sunk so much money in, that you feel like it'd be silly to pull out and stop. this is also why the body shell is one of the last bits to be sent, so you can't jst build an empty shell, paint the windows black and have a display model!

    • @bradleyj.fortner2203
      @bradleyj.fortner2203 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DustyShedGarage I can see spending a couple hundred bucks on your hobby. As a fish keeper, I get that. But I could never wait for two years to set up an aquarium a few pieces at a time. Oh well, I guess it'll make a decent series of videos. It's just going to take a while to see how it turns out. I don't plan on going anywhere.

    I personally find these magazine builds drawn out and disinteresting and I personally would not watch them, although I do watch all your other videos of which I enjoy, if your buying each issue it could end up at £1000 or more, that could buy me a lot of kits for my stash that you of really would like to build in the future
