wild how the first equip was like SRM gets to double its ATK on top of its normal boost to 3900 to make a 6300 damage AND cannot be destroyed by traps. and the next was "gets 300 ATK and deals piercing". if equips were more wild swings in power like Lance i think theyd see more use because even if you lost it next turn you took a nasty chunk of the opp's life out with it.
Maximum at least has quite the flare when it came out. It's a genuinely new thing for yugioh. Equips are just...... equips lol. But yeah i agree at some point they will definitely make that one archetype that improves equip, just like blaze fiend and abyss
@@justice8718 Yes 'n' no. It's not consistent enough and the power output is not as good. Sevens Wonder Fusion is OP but decks which don't have a Miracle Fusion are stuck with odd mishmashes of useless cards. Alot of the generic support also relies on having Fusion in your GY but if your draw it and can't use it, then that support is not useful. Honestly, just a way to Rummage Fusions away for more draws would be a God Send for most Fusion Decks.
Despite there being ~30 Equip Spells, most of them are disgustingly similar. Minour stat boost, piercing and/or protection from Traps covers half of them. The ones which don't require specific conditions to use at their full power. Either a specific equip target or some other condition. It leads Equips to be "Win More" cards for your Boss Monster, for the extra battle prowess. There's no point in giving one to a little dude because then they can be run over. I think they are kind of scared of printing a generic power-up Equip, as it would invalidate alot of the ATK to Tribute curve. If they printed Axe of Despair for Rush, it would invalidate a lot of the hoops you have to jump through to reach the same power level of a stronger monster. Equips were quiet strong back in the day or at least a Mage Power could turn a Level 4 into stronger than Blue-Eyes.
@@minhluong4138 A lot of these bad mechanics could easily be fixed if they printed cards which let you discard your bricks and let you add them back from GY to hand.

If there were Mikanko equip spells and traps, it would be insane.
Equip Cards ARE the 3rd Time Though.
1st: Maximum Monsters
2nd: Fusion Monsters
3rd: Equip Spells
Fusions worked.

I'm just happy that Wind Psychics can now discard equips to their hearts' content, then grab them back with Psyquip Fusion and stuff like that

By this logic we should get some busted equip spell support soon. On an unrelated note could you do a video on Jointech? :)
There is already a waitlist of people coping so get in line for video requests
Banger video Merlin. See you in 2 [date redacted] for the next video!
Oh my god. They had the oppurtunity to easilybfix equips and they didnt do it.
Do people wants equip as strong as mikanko in rush duel?
2:00 whats the name of that card? 🤭
I mean it’s Rush duels so the majority of the playerbase really don’t care
