Needs to be reactivated. Reopen Ozone Park, Woodhaven Jct, Brooklyn Manor, Park side, Rego Park, and add Grand St. Share Howard Beach with the NYCTA for JFK airport. This will give these people access to Grand Central Madison and Penn Station.
We don't need the Queens version of the Highline. I for one support Queenslink not only for a one seat ride for riders living in the Rockaways, but also as an alternative option for Queens Blvd riders going to JFK airport in the event that the E has an issue.
i walked along the old ROW in February. the tracks are there, the platforms are there and even signal masts are there. The remaining Ozane Park and Woodhaven station platforms are all capable of handling 10 car B division trains. The IND QBL even has abandoned bellmoths east of 63 Dr-Rego Park ready to connect to the ROW. It's unacceptable they want to let this ROW go to waste. I ride the Q52-SBS and Q53-SBS and kt was PACKED. There is clearly demand to send the subway down to the Rockaways there. Plus, it would be better to have the A always terminate at Lefferts Blvd and have a QBL line go to the Rockaways instead.
Queenslink needs to b done, well it’s already done halfway because structure and right of way is already there, they jus need to pay to clean up the right of way and get new tracks. Run that line to Rockaway Park as it’s branch, leave the A as Far Rockaway’s main stay and they should consider making the C the Ozone Park branch.
To save money forget the bike routes. Bikes can already take the streets. The bikes is just designed to make new transit more expensive and never get built.
I guess a question is how popular would a link be. Is there a lot of demand by Rockaway residents for an alternative to the status quo, or is it a more car dependent area of the city?
@harrykatsos it's always overestimated due to large union contracts, and New York isn't fiscally responsible for completing the project at an efficient cost. Plus, you have to factor in the regulations and environmental studies that will baloon the cost of the project. So I agree with you

Yes, I'm in favor in reactivate as a subway line.
Don't need green spaces. They already have Forest park. Stop it already!
Dear Mayor Eric Adams,
Stop making vague and lazy ideas that you can build a park, stop being an anti-transit mayor and reactivated the queenslink.
There should be Queens Link for the (M) Train to The Rockaway's to eliminate the Rockaway Park Shuttle Train.

if it happens possible 20 years now . mta is broke now. can’t build second ave subway line and other projects right now

They should
I guess a question is how popular would a link be. Is there a lot of demand by Rockaway residents for an alternative to the status quo, or is it a more car dependent area of the city?
It's a good idea, I don't live NY State, good luck!
Where do you live?
@@durece100 I used to live in Long Island City, before all the skyscrapers. I now live in Burlington, Vermont. I had some happy years in Queens.
It would cost to much
I think those costs may have been a lil overestimated
