LOL it is -12 f outside here in Montana ⛄ I think we shall go for a Jeep ride together... Heated seats, four wheel drive for the icy roads, to go mugs full of hot cocoa or coffee! My husband and I have been married 34 years, and we love these winter dates! And sometimes we even get to rescue people out of the ditch with our Jeep and its handy dandy winch 😊😊. Breakfast for dinner is always an awesome idea! We're also planning on doing a date night on Sunday which includes dinner + an experience like an online cooking class or comedy show (:
I don't have anyone to go one cute dates with, but each of these sound fantastic. I might just go on a couple of these by myself, just make a couple special nights to enjoy myself and be thankful that I am able to.
I like your focus on intention of quality time and conversation with your partner. It really makes a big difference, especially when you can get stuck in a rut of the day to day routine. My husband is a percussionist, and I tap dance, so he gives me drumset lessons, and I teach him how to tap dance. We don't do it as much anymore, but it's a lot of fun. We also like to go for nature walks, as there is a really nice trail behind our house! Unfortunately it's completely covered in snow, so that is an activity we do in the fall and spring. You can never go wrong with movie night. We are currently watching the Marvel movies in order and really enjoying it since we haven't seen most of them.
My husband and I love playing card and board games together as well as watching shows like Married at First Sight - it's surprisingly helpful to see the struggles and successes of other couples to spark important conversations about our own marriage.
Love your ideas! Instead of reading separate books side by side, to change things up , it’s sometimes fun to take turns reading to each other. We usually end up doing this by candlelight whenever the power goes out. Maybe it’s our stage background, but it’s fun to read aloud making all the different character voices. We will often spend our evenings singing too or watching / singing along to musicals .Those are always the best !
We love doing an at home wine or beer tasting! We pair it with the right food & music and even turn it into a game by tasting blind and guessing which is which!
I love this video! And will definitely be trying some of these with the hubby! We like to make breakfast for dinner and play board games for home date nights. We also put the air mattress in the livingroom for movie night sometimes just for fun 🥰
My husband is not crafty or artistic at all 😩😩😩 but we do enjoy cooking stuff together. We do already have the occasional movie night, sometimes game night, and we also read books together. We have a huge pile waiting to be read lol. We will often just do a chapter or two a week so it takes a while to finish the books, but we like discussing them together. Right now we're reading Ordinary People.
