I just won this at an auction (new) for $30! I am beyond excited to get it and try it out! My baby is due in 10 days and I really wanted this with my first child, just couldn’t convince myself to spend $300 on it. I know it will relieve some stress for me getting up in the middle of the night for feedings. 😊😊

I got mine for $10 new and it was a return from Amazon. It’s actually cheaper now - it’s $200 now

@@PrincessSn6w yes I saw that they went down on the price finally. I’m not sure I would have spent $200 for it either. 😅
If it was like $150 I would have gotten it so fast!

I got this as a gift but didn't take it out of the box until 7 weeks later when we switched to formula only feeding. I did some tests with the thing to see how accurate it was:
    Formula: Alula S26 Gold
    Manual dosing:
    120.0ml water
    18.7g powder (2 scoops)
    138.7g combined
Automatic dosing via the Baby Brezza:
    Formula setting: 3
    Water setting: 120ml
Water only button: 119.10g (0.0075% difference)
Water and formula button: 133.9g (3.46% difference)
3.5% difference is good enough for me.. getting exactly 120.0ml of water into a bottle took a while and you'll never hit it every time and it's unlikely you'll scoop 18.7g of powder every single time either so roughly 3.5% isn't too bad. I plan to repeat these tests and average the results but it seems fine for me.
The time saving is also another advantage. 5 to 8 minutes to fill a bottle, put a couple of scoops in, shake and warm vs 15 to 20 seconds for the BB is pretty nice. Is it worth it? Sure if you get it for free otherwise it depends on how much your time is worth and how much disposable income you have.

    • @Woupsme
      @Woupsme ปีที่แล้ว +3

Got this for our second kid. The saved waiting time in the middle of the night is definitely worth the money lol

    • @stevenirvin55555
      @stevenirvin55555 ปีที่แล้ว

Interesting testing, and glad you took the time to do this; however, I think your conclusion is a bit flawed. To say the overall difference is 3.5% is simply not true when it comes to getting the correct nutrition for your baby.
The actual difference should be the 18.7g of powder (manual) vs the 14.8g of powder with the BB (133.9-119.10). That difference is actually closer to 21%.
Now, looking up the formula, it seems that it requires 8.5g of formula per 60ml (2 oz) of water, so neither method met this. Your manual scooping added almost 2 grams and the BB left out a little over 2 grams.
If 17g was the standard to reach, the BB still filled up about 13% below the mark, indicating each "scoop" was a gram less. For an 8 oz bottle, this would mean your baby would get 4 grams less per formula...

This formula maker is a life saver!! My little guy is 2 months old. When he is hungry the whole house wakes up haha.
You just click the start button and bam you have a perfect warm bottle for your baby
Trust me you want to get this formula maker as it will save you so much time and keep your little one happy
Just like Maddie daddy said make sure you clean it! After every bottle I clean the funnel and under where the funnel goes. Keep an eye on your water level and I always have boiled water in a pitcher so you never run out
Also in a month descale your formula maker. I have not done this yet but it seems really easy

Should I put sink water? Or boiled water for this machine?

    • @MaddiesDaddy

We used purified water purchased from the store. If you give your baby tap water already and you are in a location where the water is potable, then sink water will be fine.

Thank you for sharing this. Very helpful.
I was searching about the formula (Aptamil 1 comfort) i use and on the website is saying for STAGE 1 (CN), the settings should be for. STAGE 2, settings 7, STAGE 2 (CN), settings 6 and STAGE 1 (CN), settings 5.
    What does that mean please?
Also, do I have to change the settings every time I change de “ml”?
For example, 125ml the setting continues the same as 90?
    * After this video I´ve changed the settings to 5 with 125 up to 150ml. Is that correct?

I’m not sure on your specifics - sorry but I don’t have this product anymore, but once you have the setting dialed in, you don’t need to change the setting number - you just change the amount of liquid you want to use is all…

If you’re talking about the stir wheel which is on top, grab it firmly, put your other hand on top to hold the machine down and pull up (pretty hard) until it comes out...you really just have to be firm with it.

Baby Brezza states that if you are using a hypoallergenic formula you will still have clumps in the bottle because of the consistency of the ingredients. It’s normal. You just need to swirl it a little.

I would use whatever settings the website currently has. This video was made over a year ago and they possibly changed the settings for various formulas.
