- In this 2022 Porsche Macan GTS review I'll tell you why this performance SUV is the best daily. The Porsche Macan 2022 model year gets power updates across the lineup. The Macan GTS now gets the 434 horsepower twin-turbo V6 that used to be in the Turbo - which has been discontinued.
The Porsche Macan GTS 0-60 comes in between 4.1-4.3 seconds or 3.8 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package. But the Macan GTS isn't all about performance. This thing is the perfect daily driver as it's also one of the most comfortable performance SUVs in the segment. Keep in mind, that all the updates you see here will also apply to the 2023 Porsche Macan. An all new Macan is on the way for 2024. For now, the new Porsche Macan interior sees some new updates that I'll give you a full tour of. Of course, you're probably wondering - should I buy the Porsche Macan now or wait for the new one. I did. 23 GTS expected to be delivered in September. The X3M / GLC63 are faster but they both feel generic compared to the Macan.

I have had two Macan's in four years. The first, a diesel, destoyed its transfer box. Porsche dealers have them in stock as it's a known weakness. The second, a petrol S was lovely to drive but, after two days of heavy rain, the Sunroof leaked (another weakness) and left a soaked rear passenger compartment. Took them two weeks to fix. A quick review is great, but owning one long term is different. I will never have a sunroof on a car again. I think I used it twice or three times in two years.

It’s in its 3rd Gen lol. Porsche don’t work like
Other manufacturers. They only offer small changes in every generation. 23 is the last year they are making the gas versions of them, Would be hard pressed to find a 23 GTS now.
Mines coming in May , is it really that hard to get one and do you think they will hold their value well as they are the last gas engines ? I hope so

I’ve had my Fully loaded Special Edition Modena for 3 months now and it’s been in the service center for over a month now. I still love the design especially the interior but there are so many issues with the platform and the GM at my dealer told me that the President of Maserati North America was it the store and said they have had a lot more issues than what they expected to have. As a drive, they have done a good job with a 4 cylinder but it suffers if it’s not in the power band and it’s sounds like a diesel which isn’t very Maserati.
The interior is great but there is some awful quality you don’t expect in a $94k 4 cylinder. The screen is a fingerprint magnet. The buttons on the wheel and doors are very cheap looking and are backlit so in the sun wearing sunglasses means you cannot the buttons on the doors. The biggest issue is the whole key and keyless entry system which is just a mess and the reason mine is currently in the process of going through Lemon law.
Coming from a real owner and not a reviewer, stay away from the platform for a year as they sort out the issues.

Get a Cupra Formentor VZ5 better acceleration, fully equipped and much much cheaper. But no premium brand if that’s the deciding factor

Porsche builds some of the best vehicles on the planet - period. However, it never makes any sense for me on these high performance SUVs:
• They are still way slower than many sports cars!
• They still don't have the off road capabilities of a Jeep Wrangler!
• They can't haul nor tow with a capacity of a heavy duty truck!
• Kind of a mix bag of compromise of everything while not being great at anything!!!

• How do they perform out in the country where there are no street lights?
•. How do they perform in lighting up road signs on the highway on low beam? I have European HID headlights on two of my vehicles and there is a significant difference compared to US DOT headlights. Curious to see what these US DOT compliant headlights look like.

Get a Macan S instead with some of the same features as the GTS and save $$$. What you get extra on a GTS for the cost is not worth the price . The S is just about as fast and can be made to look just as good for less.
Sounds like a true man who cannot afford the top tier honor. It's very clear why one would get the GTS over the S. The GTS is even cheaper than the S if the S was outfitted with the same options.
If your getting a porsche, performance is your number one metric, if performance is your number metric, then you don't care about a random dudes giving advice about making your porsche look a certain way, that's not the goal of someone whose looking for this car.
If you bundle all of the performance goodies on an S, they will cost MORE than a gts.

The production of the lithium-ion batteries causes more displacement and CO2 emissions than the production of regular gas-powered cars, this is an indisputable fact. Not to mention the disposal process of battery after its life cycle. We will continue to use fossil fuels to to mine the lithium so we're not actually solving the problem. We also don't have the infrastructure to power all these EV cars. Are you aware that Tesla is telling Texas owners not to charge their cars during "peak hours", because we are already overloading their charging system? And thats with only 1% of drivers being electric. What do you think is going to happen when we have 50% of the cars on the road all trying to charge at once and Tesla or Ford decide to shut off their chargers for the day.
