Sir, I have been looking over the Internet for nearly a month, thank you so much for making this video. I really appreciate it. You did a great job, you were very informative, you're directing to the point, and you're directing to the point, and you made it very clear and easy to understand what you were doing. A great job! Please keep making motorcycle videos. You are a lone voice in this crazy world of everybody trying to over due each other.
Yes the dash indicator works just like normal. That is the main purpose of the diode kit, to fix the continuity problems that arise with LED's and the top indicator with stock wiring. If you don't care about having the dash indicator light you could just remove the dash indicator bulb and your LED turn signals should work like normal without the Diode.
No, this fixes front and rear. The diode kit is actually fixing the indicator lights on your dash or instrument cluster that goes haywire after installing LED's. If you are getting hyper flash ( blinking really fast) or maybe not blinking at all, you with need a LED Flasher Relay similar to this: www.amazon.com/Flasher-Blinker-Signal-Motorcycle-Modification/dp/B08FDKT47Y
Hello, I made the diode kit from your video and then installed it the same way, but the dashboard light does not come on when the turn signals flash, suzuki intruder 1400.
The problems that arise from using LED turn signals come from the blinker indicator light on your gauges. The diode fixes that. Running lights are not a problem.
I prefer not to cut & splice original harness if at all possible in both cars & bikes. I'll use a precision screwdriver to pop the blades out of the plugs then use M/F blades on the bypass to make connections & then use tape to insulate where needed. That way if you ever want to go back to OEM, unplug, pop original blade connectors back into connector plug & you're back to factory with no damage to the harness. Majority of the older Hondas mostly have factory bullet connectors but you'll find plugs with blades in the charging system if you do the rectifier upgrade. It sounds like you will need an LED Flasher Relay like this: www.amazon.com/Flasher-Blinker-Signal-Motorcycle-Modification/dp/B08FDKT47Y. These are nice because you can also adjust the speed the it blinks. Some bikes need them and some don't.
@@orlandoholwerda2373 No, the diode fixes the problems that arise from having LED's with a single indicator light on the instrument cluster. Power can only travel in one direction with LED's. It's a totally different problem then the flasher. With some stock flashers, LED's don't put out enough power for the flasher relay to recognize them so you need a flasher that will work with the small power that LED lights use. It's kind of the same thing that happens in some cars when you tow a trailer and have too many lights blinking and get hyper flash (blinking really fast).
I guess I should also tell you to check your Flasher Relay to see how many connector prongs it has, either 2 or 3, and get an LED relay to match. The one I showed you at Amazon is a 3 prong, but if yours is only 2 prong, then look for one of those.

Glad it helped you out Adam.
Best most descriptive, easy to follow, sir you have changed my life for the better
Great video thank you for making it look so easy. Question. Does the turning indicator on your dash blink when the blinkers are on?

I love how you cut the wire then hucked it into the corner of your garage 😂
Great work.
Will also sort the rear indicator bulbs are do you need to fit another diode to the rear?

So will the blinker wire work for both blinker and running light or do I need to connect 1 diode to running wire and 1 to blinker?

Thanks for the tips David.
How do you make the diode kit?

i did this and the relay started buzzing and no turn signals lit - xr650l

@@umpquaoutdoors Do you also suspect a failed diode?
