I'm going to sound like an ahole but my dad just bought me one the other day with extra flight bonus. I wanted a mini but he thought it looked flimsy. Anyway it's awesome to have one, but there's all these obstacles now like registration, taking a test to get a license for commercial use. Also where I can or cannot fly this thing. It's like this very expensive toy with restrictions 😐
Mine is arriving in the next few days. Upgrading from my Mavic Mini which I've had since Christmas. Mini was a fabulous first drone but I need something bigger and more powerful (you haven't seen bad weather until you've seen the west coast of Ireland). Using my mini to film videos for my rowing club and general adventures. One thing to note though was recently I got some fabulous footage of a friendly dolphin which lives in the bay. The mini was so small I managed to get just 4 meters above its head!!!!!!

I went out today in a stiff breeze that had me a bit worried. Air 2 did not seem to mind, though! I was going to get a Mini and just put up with worrying about wind but I'm glad I went for the Air 2 now.

Fun fact: switching the controller stick configuration makes the drone easier to control I feel because it becomes like a console controller in a fps game. In a console game, We move around with the left stick and we turn around with the right stick in a console game. This makes the learning curve easier to manage =)

I bought this unit yesterday. Yesterday I set it up, indoors; today I launched it for the first time ever flying one. It was so easy to fly! I made one mistake however, I calibrated it by rotating it the wrong way. I didn't know at the time but I couldn't view anything through my unit camera. It recorded ok but I couldn't see where I was going. About five hours later I discovered that when I calibrated it, I calibrated it by spinning it clockwise instead of counter clockwise. This makes all the difference if you want everything to work properly. Aside from that, this is a fantastic drone! I can't wait to begin experimenting with all its capabilities.
I liked this video because it doesn't overload you with the entire load of information at once. Just enough to know how to get off the ground. Nice Thank you.
Mine is enroute! My only experience is losing a drone on 1st flight, landing in several trees, running into a brick wall at full speed, and damaging myself with props. So I'm watching newby videos. This is the best by far. Professionally explained with excellent speed and clarity. Not a single Um or Ahhh! I'll be watching all of yours. Great job!

I just opened my box today. The instructions that came with the drone were fair but your video really got me off to a good start. Can’t wait for my batteries to charge up. Thank you.
Another great beginner feature is the direction icon at bottom center. It shows the direction to the drone and the orientation of the drone. If you lose site and can't figure out the path home with the first person view, you can still get it back.
Thanks for a very well made tutorial. Got my Mavic Air 2 a few days ago, charging the batteries and studying instructional material today, and will fly it for the first time tomorrow. No previous experience with any drone.
This was simple and great pace of his teaching. I just got my Mavic Air Two. I ordered the fly more kit. WHich i highly recommend since it has the charging x3 battery with three batteries kit. I just went thru the preliminary charging of battery and setting up the Rotors Propellers. Thanks for the instructions. Ran out of time so will pick it up tomorrow.
New Drone owner here - had to return my Zino Pro due to some issues with the broken controller - After returning, I decided to jump in with both feet and purchased the Mavic Air 2 Fly More Package - I can't wait for it to arrive next week. While I am somewhat new to flying I have flown a bit- I really like the tutorials you put together - they are easy to watch and very helpful in getting to know the new Mavic Air 2 . @@AirPhotography appreciate it .. can you suggest any good iPhone app that merge videos without compress or loss any quality? I was shooting today at 4K 60fps and noticed my files was split into 4.5 min videos .. tried to merge 2 with iMovie, didn’t lose any frames but not sure about quality
I'm glad they redesigned the controller, especially how you mount the smartphone. I remember in previous controllers, I would always have to remove my phone from the case, which wasn't difficult, but a pain each time.
Thank you. All of these other--for beginner--vids never mentioned that when the batteries and controller are fully charged the lights go out. It took me a couple of replays to figure out the word 'out' when you said it, but at least I did get it, so thanks.
I haven't read all the comments, so this may have been mentioned: At about 13:10 you mention that it doesn't matter which device you turn on first (Controller or the actual drone). I think I've read that if you turn the drone on first, there's a chance that you may lose control to another controller that may be in the area after you're up in the air.

The Fly More combo is 100% worth it I think. Each battery cost $115 and it includes two batteries, extra props, filters and case for in an additional $189. So I’d say spend the extra $189
