Yes, Santa Fe is interesting, unique, and artsy with a lot of great restaurants. And existing real estate and new construction sales are booming. However, what is not booming is the water supply, which the local and state politicians and developers and realtors barely address.
❤❤❤
NICE WORK! Almost twenty years ago, moving from a Jersey Shore home with a panoramic water view, I was blessed to purchase a very old adobe on the eastside with a big view. So, it IS possible, but rare to find an eastside home with spectacular up close views of the Sangre de Christo mountains. Believe me, living in these old adobes is a feeling that is almost impossibe to put into words. There is a feeling of a long time ago, a feeling of peace, a feeling of warmth in winter and cool in the summer beause the original builders back then knew the thick adobe walls will act as a passive heat exchange system. Yes, you're living in a vintage home that does need tender loving care. Being from back east, I think about the ole hacienda as I would taking care of a vintage wooden sail boat. Best of all there are plenty of local tradesmen who know how to work on and preserve the old buildings. All in all, I feel something deep about my olde hacienda like I've never felt about any place I've lived. I'm hoping when I'm gone, my bi-coastal kids will enjoy it and pass it on to their children. That's how much I love my home.
I absolutely love this comment! Thanks for describing the feeling of living in an old Adobe.
People either get it or they don’t. And sometimes, they learn to appreciate it over time after having the opportunity to experience it for themselves.
Thanks for sharing!!!
You drove by my house few times in historic east side. I must say, it feels very special living here. You might want to revisit in summer, it’s so spectacular, and walk down some of these streets. Nice video.
Thanks for the comment! The Historic East Side is such a unique and beautiful area. You're absolutely right, summer really brings out the charm of those streets, and we’d love to revisit and capture more of the neighborhood’s beauty. We appreciate you watching our video!

We can’t wait. We’re looking forward to moving to Santa Fe soon!!
That’s so exciting! We can’t wait to welcome you to Santa Fe! It’s a fantastic place to call home, and we’re sure you’ll love it here. Let us know if you need any help along the way!
You still got that
Supermarket you have to be a resident to get a line of credit. I like the cafe at the La Fonda. The cathedral is nice but the
Loretto is special with that stair case.
Yes, the local charm of Santa Fe is definitely something special! The La Fonda café is a classic spot, and we agree-the Loretto Chapel staircase is truly unique and a must-see. As for that resident-only supermarket line of credit, I'm not too sure about that one! Have you visited recently, or are you planning a trip back?
Another great video guys. Love the street level and aerial views of the neighborhoods. This is our favorite activity when we visit, just driving around and fantasizing. These are all a bit out of reach for us but still so beautiful to see.
Thanks Nathan!
We’re going to be covering neighborhoods in all price ranges, and do more out in the field type videos.
Excellent...thank youuu!
You are welcome!
Excellent video!! Love the adobe houses!! 👏👏👏
Just wait till you start seeing the inside of them! Hidden behind adobe walls!!! 🥰
caring for my mom out in boulder city n.v., hope to move back some day i just retired from being a plumber in santa fe for 30 yrs , santa fe home are some of the best build in the southwest. love santa fe n.m. my wife's from there up north little town called penasco, her mom and brotherare still up there.
There are so many beautiful Northern New Mexico villages with so much history.
We hope you can return to Santa Fe someday too!
Nice! I live on Palace Avenue in a historic contributing compound and love the history and your explanation of pueblo revival architecture !🌈👍🏼
Thank you so much! Living in a historical contributing property must be an incredible experience, surrounded by such rich history. I'm glad you enjoyed the explanation of Pueblo Revival architecture-it's such a fascinating and integral part of Santa Fe's charm. If you ever have more insights or stories about your neighborhood, feel free to share. We love hearing from locals who appreciate the history as much as we do!
What about like la Cienega part!!!!
La Cienega is a fantastic area! It’s known for its rural charm, unique adobe-style homes, and beautiful landscapes, with easy access to Santa Fe. You can find vacant land at all price points and properties in all price points. Is there something specific you’re interested in about La Cienega? We’d love to share more details!
A caution to those coming from lower altitudes and who are seniors wishing to retire in Santa Fe; it is very difficult to acclimate to the high altitudes in New Mexico as you age. Many seniors must sell, move to lower altitudes after settling there due to health concerns!
Thanks for bringing up the altitude. Although we don’t see it often, we have had clients who had to move back to sea level for their health.
And when people from lower elevations visit and go skiing (up at 12,000+ feet), altitude sickness is pretty common when enjoying the snow up there (fatigue, dizziness, nausea, headache).
Drink lots of water, and take it easy on the alcohol!
Usually in a week or two, it’ll start to feel easier. If you’re used to sports, running etc, you’ll definitely feel a little bit slower until you get acclimated.
Gene Hackman has lived in Hyde Park for decades...Robert Redford owns a home in Tesuque.. BrIan Urlacher? Las Companas...
Santa Fe has certainly attracted its share of well-known residents over the years! Beyond the names you mentioned, Santa Fe has drawn artists, actors, and creatives from all walks of life, all captivated by the natural beauty, unique culture, and peaceful lifestyle. It’s part of what makes Santa Fe such a fascinating and diverse place to live!
Just keep in mind you will also need to put your children in a private school. New Mexico has a struggling public education system.
Thank you for your comment! It’s true that New Mexico’s public education system doesn’t always rank as highly compared to other states. However, there are still many highly ranked public and charter schools throughout Santa Fe, serving students K-12. In addition to these, there are several excellent private school options available for families looking for alternatives. We always recommend exploring the different school options to find the best fit for your family’s needs.
When you show a place…show the place NOT THE MAN DRIVING A CAR AT 40 mph. I GAINED VERY LITTLE …
Thank you for your feedback! Our goal with these videos is to provide an overview of different areas in Santa Fe, so viewers can get a sense of the neighborhoods and lifestyle, rather than focusing on individual properties. That said, we appreciate your input, and we’ll definitely work on capturing more detailed footage of the neighborhoods in future videos. We’re always striving to improve, and your comments help us do just that. Thanks for watching!
