I remember the one from 1999. My whole family, grandparents, uncles, cousins and so on were sitting on a hill in a field to watch it. When it happened, everyone went totally quiet, which made the whole experience a lot more spiritual and eerie. You could hear the birds being confused and starting their evening calls. It was beautiful and made everybody feel introspective and thinking about the vastness of the universe at the same time. But sure, screaming like a horde of wounded chimpanzees is also a viable option.

@@SUGAR_XYLERno they aren’t. They happen about every 18 months on average somewhere in the world. They are rare if you are only talking about where you or any one person lives but if you are willing to travel you can have plenty of chances to see one. They are not rare for planet earth as a whole.

Do you really need some “special glasses” to look directly at the solar eclipse?
yes, the sun will damage your eyes if you look at it without the special glasses, which have special filters to block out most light
it's safe to look without glasses during totality but otherwise definitely use them

Saw one earlier this year the sun was bright then went dark I experienced extreme nausea when I was at school but then I had a headache and nose bleed
That was “Ring of Fire”- you are to NEVER look at that kind of eclipse (annular) WITHOUT proper eye protection!
