OBS Ford Tailgate Assist | JC Customs Metal Fab
Do you have an old Ford pickup and wish you had the slightest flair of modernity? Well, you’re in luck, JC Customs and Metal Fab came out with a super easy and affordable tailgate assist bracket and actuator.
All you need is an 04-14 F150 actuator to go along with the bracket. I chose to use an Orion Motor Tech and it seems to work well! Very happy with this overall!

Nope, the non-regulated hose that came with my growler screwed right in to the Coleman input.
@@mo_broncogot me a ignik about 2 weeks ago.. gonna have to check and see if it will work with my older Coleman stove.. thanks for info
@fishaman7834 absolutely! I didn’t even check at first and went out and bought an adapter kit. Then I pulled out the original hose and was pleasantly surprised
Those hubs match the wheels really well but man I love the color of my Warn Golds.
A lot of people love those and they definitely have the classic look. I just much prefer these
Do you have an opinion on why mile marker vs Warn? I have Warn but am just interested in why one over the other.
@frkndave28 I just think for the money, they’re the best bang for the buck. No plastic on the face and compared to warn premiums they’re much less expensive. They’re are also some issues with the warn premiums and their 1/4 turn mechanism.

Oof, yeah, at times, they can be problematic. Overall, they’re both good products, I just really love the Mile Markers.
Do you know the actual weight of the tent? I'm seeing mixed numbers. I have a buick encore gx, can get 260lbs load cross bars. Will this be okay to mount on it. I'm worried this model is too heavy. The sparrow xl from roofnest says only 150lbs.

I've got my midland micro mobile tied st my 12v always hot, no issues with dead or low batteries. definitely want to upgrade the antenna after seeing your set up.

This is made of ABS Plastic. It’s holding up really good
I had mine in 4 days of solid rain and no issues. When it finally stopped raining, I let mine air out and dry for the day.
Wow that’s really great to hear, I’m still not sold on the side open lid but the quality seems great!

lol I was replying thinking this was on a different video. The straight pop up can be tough to latch but now after a few nights in it I’ve got a good handle on it. You’re right, it’s just getting used to it

@5:00 when you opened the rooftop, i noticed "sway" from the top shell and it didn't look to stable. is this a concern in wind??
I had that same concern while deploying it the first time but once it is fully deployed it’s really stable. Had it out in some really wicked weather this weekend and it performed flawlessly, video will go up tomorrow evening on that experience!

Thanks, I’ve considered PHP Hydra and even spoke with them a couple weeks ago. I’m happy with the Revolver but having all the tunes with the Hydra is really enticing.
So how does it hook to the top of a truck??? Do you have a video of the installation
Tent mounts to the truck with standard aluminum extruded rails that are actually recessed flat with the shell of the tent. They mount on the crossbars of your rack with bolts and nuts. The mounting is very similar to most other tents on the market that I have been around.
That interior is too clean for an open coffee container!
Every day it’s got an open mug in it!
Now I’m waiting for the experience in it. I want to see it set up. I’m real interested in one of these now.
