Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas, This video took around 36hrs+ of editing assuming I spend my usual time of 1 hour editing per 1 minute of video, my longest stint yet. And something I grinded out. My apologies if my audio is worse, I'm trying new mixing techniques and can't get into the recording studio I used before the pandemic. This year has been incredibly challenging for myself and I'm sure many of you. I worked two jobs this summer, am doing online univeristy, my parents got COVID (though thankfully recovered) and I am alone this Christmas. A first time for me. At the beginning of last week I swore this video would be out the 24th or 25th, and here we are. I can't thank all of you enough for the support on the previous two videos, it means so much more than I think you know. Please be safe. Thank you, Wereyoi.
Sorry in advance, English is not my native language. I've recently discovered this game, and, after I finished Cyberpunk and cooled down from beating it, started my journey in Enderal on Jan 1st. Finished it yesterday, after 100+ hours of playing (which is insane tempo by my standards, I work 180-200h a month and have no state holidays), and I've spent all day, to put it short, contemplating, reflexing and realizing what I've been through. And now I've just randomly found and binge watched your videos. What a treat and what a timing to discover this year in the making love letter to magnificent creation which is Enderal. Incredible. I've subscribed and rang a bell, I really hope to see a notification from you. Stay safe, stay sane, stay strong and keep up the good work. Would gladly donate some to your patreon, if you decide to make one.
To this day, it still amazes me that a game such as Enderal exists at all. How did such a small team, create such an astonishing game, and then give it away for free, without getting paid. Mind-boggling. We really don't deserve it. If only there was a way to throw money at Sure AI to make future games by them a possibility. Walk blessed.
What sorcery is this? Just moments ago i was reminiscing about Enderal and lamenting the fact that there are so few actual good critiques for this game on YT. Yours is one of if not the best one out there. Merry Christmas to you indeed and stay safe during these trying times!
I'm glad I could help. I've been wanting to set aside the time to make this for so long, and it means so much to hear so many have enjoyed it. I hope you've had a Merry Christmas.
I like how much of Enderal revolves around the themes of the inevitable fate and egoism. This video is the kind of content i expect of youtubers with atleast 1 million+ subs. Thank you for putting this much effort into your videos, it is a joy to watch ;)
The inevitable fate and egoism... classic themes.. Something I perhaps should explore more, and I probably will. Your comment means so much to me, thank you
I rarely comment on stuff at all these days, but I felt the need to say that this was top notch stuff mate. Enjoyed every minute of it and was surprised to see this level of quality given that these vids are your first foray into youtube content. I just finished the game for the first time a few days back and it's the first time a game has had me that engaged and had that much of an emotional effect on me, so I'm still in that odd "wtf do I with myself now?" phase. There's something weirdly gratifying about seeing someone appreciate Enderal as much as I did, so I appreciate all the effort and passion you put into making these vids because they sorta 'helped' me deal with that "what do I do?" feeling, as odd as it sounds.
Heya, glad I could help! For sure I felt that way after my play through but really it just got me thinking about my future. There is a lot of stuff this game touches on that is, I believe, very personal to a lot of us. Sorta like shared experiences we all had but never communicated. And now we’re able to experience them through a different lens and we can really get a nice retrospective on everything. Being in that state where you don’t know what to do, I think, is incredibly rare and helpful. Shaking you out of the monotonous day-to-day life. Cherish it. You can learn a lot. I find it difficult to find stuff that can really knock me into that state much. Hope all is well!
I love this mod. And what I love best is how it shows the hopelessness of war. War fucking sucks. People starve, people die, people are afraid. And this game really shows that. There is no glory in war, and no one person can turn the tide of a war against overwhelming forces. It's sad and hard to accept the reality of it. We are fed so many lies about war through games we play, skyrim being one of many. And this tiny game, made by a passionate few, captures the pain of it.
I just finished Enderal and have no one to talk about it, so now here I am binge watching all video essays I can find. This was a delight, I especially liked that you got interviews with the lead developer and author. I recently learned that Nicolas is now involved with the Gothic remake, I hope he has enough freedom there to put a little bit of Enderals magic into that game as well.
Just come across this series and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also appreciate that the videos aren't 50% "Skyrim bad" - there's so, so much more to Enderal than "it's like Skyrim if it was good".
I was waiting for this video for literally months. A brilliant review for a perfect game. I always considered this mod a fully fledged game, because it was. I loved it so much, but it made me sad that there weren’t many who did a video review. Seeing your videos, I felt extremely happy, and hearing your ideas made me feel great and I noticed some plot points I didn’t notice before. Thank you for these videos. I will continue watching your videos from now on, please update your video progress so that we can know you are working on something as great as this one
Oooh man. This makes me wish the community tab wasn't locked behind 10k ;-;. Perhaps it's time for a small facebook page or something. Just to be able to have greater interaction with you all. Thank you so much for the kind words, they mean a lot.
I just started my 2nd playthrough and I love it even more than the 1st time. What a fantastic game! This series is by far the best covering the game. Subscribed! Keep it up!
your video is beautiful. Enderal is an inspiration to many of my D&D games. I wish more games focused on the narrative of the story, rather than many-hours-of-content
Your videos are very underrated it is a shame that it doesnt have more views. I appreciate the work put into this, there arent many videos which analyze the Story of this game like these.
It takes a lot of thinking and research that's for sure! But for me it's always well worth it. Save for the sleepless nights editting just getting the same shot over and over I love making these videos and have no plans on stopping anytime soon!
Another wonderful video! Thank you for the Christmas present and thank you for covering this truly amazing game. Both you and Enderal deserve much more audience and notoriety. Can't wait for your next project and if you want you can drop a hint if you have an idea what it's going to be. Either way, thank you one more time and stay safe!
Well...tbh, if you can drop a hint as to what you might like that'd be super helpful ;-; If that tells you anything about my plans. Might make a poll and post here tomorrow, makes me wish the community tab wasn't locked behind 10k subs. Your comment means a lot
@@Wereyoi Well, anything RPG is welcome for me, as it's my favourite genre. You can also do the tried and tested CDPR/Bioware/Bethesda games. But if you are going for a retrospective of an obscure and weird RPG again, the one that comes to mind is the Game of Thrones RPG. The gameplay and graphics are extreme jank but the story and characters are actually really cool, at least to me they were.
I just finished Enderal today (what a game, it really is insanely well made and written) and then discovered your videos and binged them, so I want to say thank you. I needed an outside perspective on the things I just experienced and you provided just that and more in this series. The videos really were of super high quality and I thoroughly enjoyed them, so thanks again for putting in so much work to create these :) And thank you SureAI for gifting us the masterpiece that Enderal is
Well plough me with a rake, Christmas keeps getting better. Thank you for your work, it seems like it was quite a journey! I would like to point out Esmes quest line, though. There was no world saving (or was there...?), big boss monsters, high stakes assassinations and whatnots, but just the focus on personal topics like depression, suicide and what really matters in life. Plus an absolute banger of a theme. Then again, if you discuss every great sidequest in your videos, you would probably need a dozen of 'em. Not that I would mind^^
Eseme's questline was something else, and Our Mark on This World is a fantastic song. Really you hit the nail on the head, I can't discuss everything in respect for time and personal sanity. But I personally didn't feel like I had the capabilities to discuss Esme's quest like the Rhalata. At least in regards to the Veiled Woman, which would've needed to be brought up at some point. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, it means a lot to hear that. Describing the nerves I have while uploading these is hard. I always have a few people watch them while they're unlisted still processing HD to make sure they're acceptable xD
@@Wereyoi Well, if you are still anxious about the quality of the released vid, I can assure you that, like the previous ones, it is a great video essay, so you can get back to celebrate an annual festivity of your choice to unwind a little. Looking forward to whatever your next project is, happy holidays ;)
That was great to watch! However I will point out that secret stories also contained two more questlines (one about a trade guild and another is search for a lost person) , and at least two sidequests: one relating to red madness, and another may or may not include player arranging a date for two sweet old mages.
I played through the two quest lines but had no idea about the side quests :o I just failed to mention the other two quests and used some incorrect language when referring to the DLC as a whole. But honestly...where would one find these side quests .3.
@@Wereyoi Okay so: the first sidequest is called "the Elixir" and you can start it by reading a note on the Myrad tower in Farmer Coast, or by talking to Mirell Hoofbeat in Bridgehead Farm, also in Farmer Coast. Second sidequest is called "Cubhert's Legacy" and you can start it by talking to an alchemist in Dunville or reading a note in Dunville "Adventurer wanted". The alchemist is located in on of those wooden towers inside the cave, however to reach him you need to climb a tower next to his and walk on a line. There might be more sidequests but I don't remember. Btw where did you found that golden elf in your previous video?
@@TheBard1999 Golden elf? I'm afriad I don't know what you meanby that. And I'll have to give them both a shot! Don't tell any one but...I haven't really played many of the side quests in Enderal save for the DLC ones introduced.
@@Wereyoi Most side quests in Enderal are minor and serve to present impact of certain events on people of Enderal. "Apotheosis "is explaining the black guardian, "the Elixir" talks about red madness, "Dreams of the Dead" talk about what happened to Lishari. "Divide and Conquer" may talk about the divide in classes of Arks citizens and present Undercity to the player, I would also recommend the "A touching Effigy" started by talking to Erica Braveblood. "Blood in Sand" presents Duneville Out of all SIDEquests i like "Cuthbert's Legacy" the most and i think it's what made me choose sacrifice ending.
You know I subconsciously followed almost all the steps just right in the secret ending. Until the one where you get to alternate Qyra world. There I had to look up stuff so that I wouldn't miss anything since I thought it was a timed mission. Also there is a way to get both potions that I don't think even the SureAI team thought about. A bit cheaty maybe but a crafty one, I can assure you that. I didn't do the ralata questline because that wasn't in the nature of my character (I was playing as a nobody first but then decided to follow Calias ideals and so I became a noble knight of some sort).
While I'm at it, thank you for making these videos. You're clearly very talented at what you do and have a great group of friends and family willing to help you on your video making endeavors. I wish you the best of life.
I don't buy Yuslan description of the Dreamflower Elixer's effects. He has an agenda and wants to put you off any shot at success for the sake of getting even with Tealor. If the Elixer's effect is simply a Lotus Eater trap that you can't come back from, there wouldn't be any witnesses to return from the coma and describe it as such. Keep in mind where you find the means to even make the Elixer: the decanter is in The Father's study. The implication is that The Father had taken the elixer, and thus was able to survive your battle with him at the end of the questline. You decisively kill them during that battle, and yet they impossibly survive. It is of course intentionally ambiguous, but I get the impression that in light of that information the takeaway is meant to err closer to a positive interpretation of the ending.
I've come to the conclusion that even if the elixir just gives the Prophet a dream, the Prophet is essentially the dream of a dying person anyway. Perhaps it would just continue the existing dream.
That was great^^ And thanks for the timemarks. I havn´t seen the dreamflowerend jet and want to experience it my self. Lets see if it will end me as mutch as the other endings XD
Of course, all of Enderal is best experienced fresh and I want to try to perserve as much of it as I can for others. It's a difficult end to get, but worth it if you ask me. Have fun!
This means a lot to hear, thank you very, very much. I try my best with each video to improve and hopefully in my next video it will be better. Lot's to experiment and teach myself, lots to learn.
Commenting here just to join fellow Enderal fans, this game actually blew my mind multiple times and I know so few people who have experienced it. Fantastic analysis videos, also. Very high quality
It's amazing how many Enderal fans there are, isn't it? I always thought there was like...a couple hundred max. But...well I suppose we all can get surprised at times.
I was literally just talking about Enderal with someone and went searching for these videos of yours when this one showed up, amazing! By the way, either it's been patched out or something's wrong in your script, but I remember drinking the dreamflower elixir mere minutes before finishing the game and it gave me the ending, I think you can drink it anytime you want.
The video's ending was beautiful. It made want to cry. You are so pure, humble and grateful. I cannot stress enough how good this trilogy of videos is. Outstanding job, man, outstanding job. Thank you for your dedication. I wish you nothing but the best. Blessings of Malphas to you! Walk blessed!
Wait Yuslans questline is a DLC???? I have truly been bamboozled. It took me a while to realize that the Rhalata and Golden Sickle quests were DLC as well (I intentionally didn't look up stuff about the game to go in as blind as possible) but I have never once noticed that the entire secret ending and Yuslans quests were added on top the base game. Truly the masters of DLC integration.
you should definitely expand onto other games or media, you're very well spoken and evidently great thinker, and you shouldn't let that go to waste! Would love to continue hearing your thoughts in the future.
Phenomenal video, seeing a video like this makes me fall in love with this game all over again. Also video was very well done and great quality with the editing and format, Thank you and everyone that helped! My one and only complaint however... You left out the Esme quest line. It's easily my favorite quest line as it references mental health, suicide, suicidal thoughts, the perception of those who have it, and advice for those who suffer with that and advice for those who have loved ones who suffer with it. And they did all that through portraying it as something that could only exist in fantasy which all but pulls you in even more. Eitherway, great video, great analysis, and great writing!
A complaint so many share ;-; I wasn't aware so many were so touched by that questline - and as I said many times before, I will amend that and I will go back to feature it! ^^
@@Wereyoi No worries, I'm sure it's a quest line that many can easily overlook the message behind it, or how it's importance could be perceived. I personally wouldn't expect you to amend it since you put so much time into this and did a phenomenal video as it is. It's not like you're some big youtuber making a living off this after all :p But if you do decide to do an analysis on that quest line as well I will look forward to it :)
Finally, I did check your channel a month ago and thought there might not be another video. And here I am pleasantly surprised with the release. Coincidentally I played through Enderal again today, still being enamored of the flawed characters and the somewhat melancholic stroies. Happy new year.
Oh, and Thaeral's voice actor (Gabriel Wolf I believe, also voice of Sirius and Aixon?) did exceptional job on the voice acting. I wonder if he ever consider doing more voice acting in games. Funny I hear Yuslan's voice everywhere (Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, beyond Reach etc.) hopefully one day they will get a foothold on some AAA games, these guys are just as talented.
@@echoness_ I played through Spellforce 3, an isometric RPG. And Nicholas Samuel, project lead of Enderal, was the lead writer for it. And you know that I heard Jespar in there xD. Happy new year and thank you so much for the comment, I'm sorry I couldn't get it out sooner but...life marches on. Hopefully my next video will not take me 9 months (Fun fact, from conception to publishing that's how long the first video took. Due to my job having me up at 4am and home at 5pm) Anyways, I'm rambling. Thank you so much for your interest and support throughout this entire series, I know this isn't the first time you've commented. Thank you!
@@Wereyoi Haha, I know that a lot of Enderal's dev team move on to work in THQ Nordic and I have played a bit of Spellforce 1 but never invested much time for the series (currently going back to university as a Computer Science graduate with precious little time for games). I will go check it out when time (and money) are allotted. No need to appologize since an excellent video is a reward on its own for those all who love the game. Thank you.
Beautiful indepth review, by someone able to think and feel. Thank you Wereyoi And I'm still trying that 4th end of Enderal where you beat the High ones at their own game, making the world (a bit) better while avoiding the Cleansing. Just venture around, have a job, kill monsters and baddies you can, forever. Let the dream go on, infinitely, and let the High Ones wait and desperate... forever.
Wew! Talk about some motivation for part 4! TH-cam doesn’t notify me when people comment on my videos anymore, it’s quite annoying :/ I’m very glad you enjoyed it! It’s there comments that keep me going. I get so afraid when I write these videos that I’m wrong (even though it is literally my opinion) that I’ll sometimes even psych myself out of writing. And talk about opening night jitters, I’ll upload and not go on TH-cam for a day and just hide xD The dream is lovely, but some of the grandest parts of most stories are the endings! I love experiencing all there is to offer, but man, I love the conclusion of stuff.
I keep finding myself coming back to enderal related media. Glad there's still new content coming out from it. When I went through the game after the dlc released and I didn't even realize like you said, the dream flower questline was dlc. I'm now even more amazed about the main story line. That being said I went through the Rahlata questline, and I got the ending where you can save Thariel without looking it up. I kept chiding him and getting angry every time he did something I didn't like. He filled me with so much anger over such petty betrayals time and time again. I can only hope you do a video on Calia's story, as that was my companion. Going back to the three endings, I remember when I got to the end after my 80 hour first playthrough. When the decision to escape to the city in the sky, or send her off while you sacrifice yourself lefte crying for about an hour not knowing what choice I wanted to make. I could never see escaping to the city as a hopeful ending for Enderal because it seemed to me that you were just going to become the next illuminated. What hope do you have at stopping and changing the course of human nature as the high ones kept taunting. Though the appeal of restarting human life with your companion is of course an uh... Loving idea. Catharsis gave a chance at hope. A chance that maybe all of what you've done and learned wasn't in vain. Along with saving your companion hopefully. The dream flower ending was almost disgusting to me, if you believe what he said, and I choose to personally, because of the pre-ending dream. It's an escapism path, a suicide route effectively. You gave up to dream, and never wake up. Leaving everyone behind is perhaps the worst outcome in my mind. Though like they said, what even is reality?
Awesome work with these three video docs bro. You are inspiring me to do the same or something similar rather. More people need to be talking about this game. Just finishing it last week I'm a little late to the party haha, but like others said in the comments I just can't get over how good this game is for real lol.
really really great video as always! :) I think I know why it seems so perfectly integrated. The DLC content was planned from the beginning but just couldn't be finished with the initial release in 2016. Even the dialogues and quests are in the 2016 version and who knows what was already finished back then. Sadly it seems like there was even more content cut. Why didn't you mention the other questlines like the Golden Sickle (almost as long as the Rhalata one) or Our Mark of This World (have a lot to do with the main quest)?
To touch on your first point - on one of my drafts of my script, I had a whole section in the beginning where I explained most DLC's are just the dev's full realization of the game. I'll paste them here for you to read: "However, this may be an outsider's perspective. From the interior of game design, the DLC is the full realization of the game, or as close as it can get. It shows what the designers may have had in mind, but had to cut for time, to focus on polish for ‘larger’ pieces of the game, and many other external and internal reasons. And perhaps subconsciously, we as the players and consumers know this. Most titles released nowadays are expected to have DLC following up after their release." On the second point, mostly time, slightly because I try to preserve some stuff untouched for others to experience. I try not to create really long videos for my own self-preservation, as well as keeping people engaged and delivering my points concisely. Though that's not all. The Golden Sickle was great, but didn't have the same punch nor the noteriety of the Rhalata questline at least for me, the only reason I chose the Rhalata was simply it's 'flagship' status. (That and I prefer the Rhalata characters, buh shhhh.) Our Mark on This World was a fantastic, short analogy for depression. The Veiled Woman is a massive character and left me often questioning 'Why.' I simply didn't feel I was capable enough to answer that question, as well I felt much more impacted by the Rhalata. Perhaps in a future video, as I have NO idea what's next for me. But we'll see ^^
Thanks for making this series. Also, have you considered making a video about the Butcher of Ark story? I think there's a lot of material to parse in Jael's journey as it does share some thematic overlap with other parts of the game.
I lean 60/40 towards the dreamflower ending being real. Yuslan has every reason to lie to you, and if it actually induces coma he would encourage you to drink it as it would make his betrayal easier without you around. However it does bring up some implications about why drinking it didn't stop his betrayal. You didn't touch on it, but I think Esme and her quest was my favorite of the new dlc stuff. Admittedly, I think the new lore on the veiled woman kind of weakened how interesting she used to be. But Esme was a really well done character, and the quest line had many feels.
I have 0 idea whether or not the ending is real, and to be honest that's how I like it. I guess the arguement can always be made that you TRULY have no idea the ending is real, as it could all be a dream, no? But to touch on that second point, after we drink it we go into a world where everything happens to how we want it? Well whats a better story than where when everything seems lost, and no one else but US can save the world. We sacrifice ourselves in the heroic light, fully willing to die, but somehow survive as our companion just gets a feeling to pull us from the rubble to nurse us back to health. We are the hero who saved the world, but at a terrible terrible cost. Who shine through the clouds with golden rays due to how pious and selfless we are. -- Esme's quest was confusing for me at first. Very obviously about depression, but the flow of it didn't connect with me (plus I think I got some weird bugs that cause a big hiccup) But, like I said to many others, I wasn't aware SO many wanted to see that all covered, so I'll cover Esme, Veiled Woman, and Golden Sickle all in a future video ^^
You said "to say the least" like 15 times throughout the entire retrospective trilogy lmao surprised none of your family and friends caught that. Great review!
To say the least.... A quick ctrl+f through my script documents found I didn't write it down on my first nor second piece. Though, I would often make addendums in the middle of editing when I caught some sort of error, so I might've done there. On the third piece, however, I wrote it 5 times in 14 pages. Not egregious, but it's a wordy saying, can see how it would get annoying. Will make sure to keep an eye out for that stuff in this upcoming script! Thank you!
Great job man! Was just thinking about this game while waiting for my copy of dreams of the dying to arrive, Nicholas's book about jespar and his adventures. Might have to play a bit someday again. Eventhough it's pretty mental that a mod has had me playing for like almost 200h before and after steam release. Awesome video, please continue making video esses, or whatever this type of content is. I remember watching the earlier parts and forgot you were making a third video. Ps. Like other people mentioned, I think you should have at least mentioned the other questlines that the dlc brought. But it's not a huge loss.
I should've at least mentioned the others, something I overlooked ;-;. But you live and learn I suppose, will be added to the corrections of my next video. I will absolutely continue making videos...just have to figure out what to next make a video ON. And I'm open to suggestions :D Don't think I'm done with Enderal yet...but the main reviews have concluded.
@@Wereyoi Hmm maybe a video talking about the mysteries of the world, the lore, theories about someone like the aged man. You know the stuff which is left to the players imagination. Or something of that sort. Dunno, whatever you make. I will watch it. Also, maybe at some point make a video about the book, dreams of the dying?
@@Wereyoi Actually SureAI has recently released a book"Dream of the Dying" set in their Vyn universe. You could potentially make a review and analysis of it.
Unfortunately no '.-. I may cover both Emse's quest and the Golden Sickle in the furture, but for now, I made the unfortunate error of using another closed statement. When I mentioned ALL story related content when speaking about spoilers, it was my fault for not mentioning the other questlines but clarifying that I'd only be covering the couple. Live and learn, my apologies!
I waited to watch this vid right before my new plauthrough, but forgot I did not manage to get the dreamflower ending yet. Welp, I'll be back in a few more months.
So in my first ending I saved thareal and didn't even knew that it mostly happened because I lashed at him when he killed niliaq. I chose different dialogue in my second playthrough just to please him and i got the bad ending and it broke me to be honest.
My first playthrough is where Tharael leaned off the cliff. I was shocked in the best way possible. Loved the twist and after reading a bunch of other people's thoughts it took me a few moments to process all that had happened. Loved the story and the sort of warning it holds about appeasement and all that. Fantastic quest, thank you for the comment ^^
Spoiler: Betraying Tharael in the end of the Rhalata questline was painful. I knew from the beginning I didn't really agree with Tharael. His story just didn't add up to the kind of horrid treatment that he supposed. But in the final moments, I never thought I'd get to side with the ''bad guy.'' Siding with the Father didn't feel great, but I think following the generic and siding with Tharael would've felt worse.
I mean the father controls the local mafia and helps to oppress the already miserable people of the undercity, tharael, while being a hateful nutcase himself, can be redeemed, I'm definitely never getting over Zar'ah's death but siding with the father would feel even worse, to me at least
Ok I hope you see this message because I want to have a discussion about the emissaries I'm sorry for how long this message is. I believe the only requirement to be a true emissary is to be fleshless. In the story the only emissaries that we meet are the aged man and yourself. In every cycle there is a emperor and a Messiah. But there is also always a man who travels to the sky city, there is always a man who tries to create a robot to put his soul into it, there is always a jaspar who is revived by the vailed woman and there is always an angel who is brought back to life and her memories are wiped and she is renamed my the vailed woman to calia. There are always men who become gods and falls from grace, there is always someone who builds a city on the same mountain. None of these people are emissaries they are as stated by the high ones, " that he is a victim of his own pride" the only true emissaries are the ones who have the ability to change the world. In paridgim's video who is the aged man, he discovers information that points to the woman trapped in water in the aged man's mansion to be a previous cycles version a calia, one where the aged man went to the sky city with her and escaped the cycle. And as she grew old he copied the man in the new cycle that uses the fluid to slow the decomposition of calia as her black stone heart keeps her alive indefinitely. Yet there always being a calia in the cycle doesn't make her an emissary. No matter what calia always dies is always imbedded with a black stone and is always brought back to life and always helps the prophet. The emperor always tries to stop the cycle the emperor always gathers the black stones and he always starts the clensing. Again sorry for the long message but I believe it brings up some good points to confirm that the high ones indeed never directly lie to you.
Thank you very much! I've recorded enough narrations to get over the sound of my own voice, but for some reason on this video I got really self-conscious about it. It's nice to hear that someone enjoys it!
I don't expect this to be answered, seeing how this comment is going to be lost in the sea of other ones. But what is the song that has the rift starting at 7:28? I tried scouring Enderal's tracklist but I don't remember this playing in my game. It sounds really good.
It's amazing, no? I'm so incredibly grateful for the team being willing to promote my work. I try to work closely and ask them questions when I need to to help me understand.
Fantastic video, Wereyoi! I think I speak for the team when I say that I'm humbled.

I just can't get over how good enderal is
You know...I don't think I can either :)
Or how good these videos are :)
“in a certain Sith’s voice” *I’ve been looking forward to this..*
Seeing Journey to Batuu there gives this comment a whole another level.
That intro gave me such Camelworks vibes and I love it. Pls make more Enderal videos, TH-cam desperately needs more Enderal content.
Enderal is one of my favorite games
I think it's one of mine too :)
Just come across this series and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also appreciate that the videos aren't 50% "Skyrim bad" - there's so, so much more to Enderal than "it's like Skyrim if it was good".
thanks for giving a chance to go back to enderal and its many stories, the feels are coming back to me like a blizzard.
It's here! Thank you for a video! Other two vere a blast I have a feeling this also will be! :D
these 3 videos were amazing. The best video on a game i've seen, especially how you didn't just explain the entire story in part 2.
A damn good Christmas gift. Enjoy the holidays man👍🏾
Glad to be able to drop it for you all. Take it easy, and be safe!
If only I could replay the game for the first time again.
This series of videos is truly amazing!
The videos really were of super high quality and I thoroughly enjoyed them, so thanks again for putting in so much work to create these :)
And thank you SureAI for gifting us the masterpiece that Enderal is
Thank you so much
Ooooh, a one last present for christmas!
Awesome as always!
this is crazy-I finished forgotten stories today
The fact that you posted today is wild to me
It seems you weren't the only one who found this on a whim! Fate works in strange ways, hm?
@@Wereyoi I'm eating dinner now, so I will write you in an hour.
"Blood in Sand" presents Duneville
Out of all SIDEquests i like "Cuthbert's Legacy" the most and i think it's what made me choose sacrifice ending.
Thank you for your work. Creators like you are the reason, I go on TH-cam. I'm already looking forward for your next release, whenever it might be.
That means so much, thank you ;-;
You know I subconsciously followed almost all the steps just right in the secret ending.
I've come back to watch this video again and this video is a work of art
That was great^^ And thanks for the timemarks. I havn´t seen the dreamflowerend jet and want to experience it my self. Lets see if it will end me as mutch as the other endings XD
Of course, all of Enderal is best experienced fresh and I want to try to perserve as much of it as I can for others. It's a difficult end to get, but worth it if you ask me. Have fun!
Words can’t express how good these videos are
These videos and this mod deserves so much more. Good content is inevitably buried under miles of trash.
This means a lot to hear, thank you very, very much. I try my best with each video to improve and hopefully in my next video it will be better. Lot's to experiment and teach myself, lots to learn.
Why doesn't this channel have more subscribers? But seriously I can tell this retrospective series had a lot of passion put into it, keep up the work
Thank you very much, this kind of stuff is very much my passion and it’s amazing to see people enjoy it
Was an Awesome video series. You are so good at narrating dude. So calm and easy to follow
Damn good retrospective my guy it was emotive but also correctly informative while also invoking the want to re experience this mod/ game
Thank you - it’s good to hear that my goals were hit ^~^
@@Wereyoi man I’m watching this again for the second time and forgot I did and it still hits so hard
Long time, but your 3 videos left me the same feeling of emptiness like the game did during playthroughs
I have no idea if that is a compliment or a critique, but I’ll take it as a compliment, thank you!
@@Wereyoi pure compliment
Thank you and all the people who helped you. Stay safe and Merry Christmas :)
Great video for a phenomenal game. I’d love to see some more analysis of this game
Well there's my other two parts -but I don't think I'm totally done with this game yet ^^
I suspect you can drink it right before destroying the beacon.
Yeah it doesnt Matter when you Drink the potion but then you are locked in to the Secret ending so you cant so the catharsis one
I wasn’t sure, so I just trusted the wiki’s information. Will be added to the corrections section in my next video!
Yeah I also drunk it just before destroying the beacon and got the dreamflower ending.
Wonderful review.
The forgotten stories feel more like a completion of what the game was meant to be instead of standard dlc.
Exactly. Rounded off the corners and filled in those content gaps.
man the ending to this video was touching.
Hey nice to see the third part! I watched the other two a couple months ago when I got reabsorbed back into Enderal, and was looking forward to this.
you should definitely expand onto other games or media, you're very well spoken and evidently great thinker, and you shouldn't let that go to waste!
It's not like you're some big youtuber making a living off this after all :p
But if you do decide to do an analysis on that quest line as well I will look forward to it :)
Thank you! I love the detail you put in your videos :)
And thank YOU for the amazing music to listen to while I edit!
Wonderful work. I was waiting mothis for this. Thank you.
I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed it! I waited months to put this out, albeit to massive nerves XD
Due to my job having me up at 4am and home at 5pm)
Anyways, I'm rambling.
Thank you.
@@echoness_ university is rouuuuughhhh right now, trust me I know ;-; we’ll get through it together. Good luck with your degree!
I'm so glad you're still going with this series. I really hope it won't be the last thing you make here.
I can assure you it won't be ^^ just gotta figure out what's next, hm? Got a couple of ideas
Beautiful indepth review, by someone able to think and feel. Thank you Wereyoi
And I'm still trying that 4th end of Enderal where you beat the High ones at their own game, making the world (a bit) better while avoiding the Cleansing. Just venture around, have a job, kill monsters and baddies you can, forever. Let the dream go on, infinitely, and let the High Ones wait and desperate... forever.
Wew! Talk about some motivation for part 4!
TH-cam doesn’t notify me when people comment on my videos anymore, it’s quite annoying :/
I’m very glad you enjoyed it! It’s there comments that keep me going. I get so afraid when I write these videos that I’m wrong (even though it is literally my opinion) that I’ll sometimes even psych myself out of writing. And talk about opening night jitters, I’ll upload and not go on TH-cam for a day and just hide xD
The dream is lovely, but some of the grandest parts of most stories are the endings!
Though like they said, what even is reality?
keep up the good work! there's not enough people covering Enderal and I think you got something goinig with these videos!
What a great series! Looking forward for what you will show us next :)
Awesome work with these three video docs bro. You are inspiring me to do the same or something similar rather. More people need to be talking about this game. Just finishing it last week I'm a little late to the party haha, but like others said in the comments I just can't get over how good this game is for real lol.
really really great video as always! :)
I think I know why it seems so perfectly integrated.
I'll paste them here for you to read:
"However, this may be an outsider's perspective.
Most titles released nowadays are expected to have DLC following up after their release."
On the second point, mostly time, slightly because I try to preserve some stuff untouched for others to experience. (That and I prefer the Rhalata characters, buh shhhh.)
Our Mark on This World was a fantastic, short analogy for depression.
Part 4 - Player's Choice will sort of dive into BoA.
Ayo this quality content is juicy. Perfect for Christmas dinner.
--
Esme's quest was confusing for me at first.
Thanks for sticking with this, you're doin' the gods' work.
No plans on giving up anytime soon!
Thank you!
@@WereyoiI look forward to your next project!
Thank you for this Journey ❤
I’m glad I could provide. It was a journey for me as well
Great job man!
@@Wereyoi I really liked you cover of themes in the Story segments. maybe you would think about analysing SOMA story?
@@Wereyoi Actually SureAI has recently released a book"Dream of the Dying" set in their Vyn universe. You could potentially make a review and analysis of it.
thanks for fisnishing this bro. Really good

This gives me life through the finals season
next talk about what i believe to be enderal's best of the best, the aged man's mansion
Wereyoi DELIVERS.
About as fast as plate tectonics, yes.
No mention of the golden sickle?
Unfortunately no '.-. I may cover both Emse's quest and the Golden Sickle in the furture, but for now, I made the unfortunate error of using another closed statement.
When I mentioned ALL story related content when speaking about spoilers, it was my fault for not mentioning the other questlines but clarifying that I'd only be covering the couple.
Live and learn, my apologies!
@@Wereyoi It would be awesome if you cover them in a future video.
Incredible content from somebody with 537 subs.
Quality should not depend on the amount of subs, but rather the desire to produce something of quality. Thank you very much!
@@Wereyoi started playing enderal yesterday because of these vids.
I waited to watch this vid right before my new plauthrough, but forgot I did not manage to get the dreamflower ending yet.
Welp, I'll be back in a few more months.
Pfahahaha, well hopefully by the time you get back I'll have a little something extra ;D
Yesss
You’re amazing man fr
^^ Thank you so much my guy!
Spoiler:
Betraying Tharael in the end of the Rhalata questline was painful.
I for the life of me did not know that forguten stories was dlc i thought it was just part of the base game
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Again sorry for the long message but I believe it brings up some good points to confirm that the high ones indeed never directly lie to you.
i really love you voice
Thank you very much! I've recorded enough narrations to get over the sound of my own voice, but for some reason on this video I got really self-conscious about it. It's nice to hear that someone enjoys it!
why did you ignore the merchant guild questline though?
I don't expect this to be answered, seeing how this comment is going to be lost in the sea of other ones. But what is the song that has the rift starting at 7:28? I tried scouring Enderal's tracklist but I don't remember this playing in my game. It sounds really good.

Thanks B. 'prechiate it.
So, who got here from the Facebook post from the Enderal Facebook group advertising this?
It's amazing, no? I'm so incredibly grateful for the team being willing to promote my work. I try to work closely and ask them questions when I need to to help me understand.
