*I appreciate every one of you who watch my videos and likes to learn more about your favorite artist's musical process. What you are watching is A REACTION (keep this in mind!) and I can't pick up on everything accurately from listening to something ONCE!! But I never thought people would find some much value in these videos...I really didn't...at all.. I was informed that it might be a good idea to give BTS a try and that BTS' fans would enjoy my Music Producer Reacts series (that was only 3 episodes in at the time lol) ..and my mentor was 100% right. I was like...why would people with no music background be interested in how songs are constructed? That would be boring...but you guys are different. WAY DIFFERENT. totally agree with this! I thought it was a bit catchy and loved the visuals in the mv. then a few days later i kept getting the chorus stuck in my head especially toward the end of the song when he starts singing more.

Blue Side is a MASTERPIECE! I loved every single song on Hope World... BUT BLUE SIDE?! That hit me hard.

J-Hope's voice dances. I've tried a lot of different words to explain what is unique about him among the BTS rap line. But when it comes down to it, it's simple: his voice dances-just like the rest of him.
I like how this song has just a touch of longing, even slight melancholy-this is a real daydream of his. So that shows in certain parts of the music and lyrics. But it's also fun, because that's how J-Hope approaches life: light and cheery, purposefully making others smile, but with more depth and seriousness than you may see or hear at first.
When Jhope released this mixtape, all of us were really excited for him getting to do his own music. This was something he really wanted to do. Daydream, like you said, is such a Hobi song through and through. That's exactly why we love it. And I'm glad you appreciate it for that.
Hoseok recently talked about this mixtape, and he said he was under a lot of pressure to put it out. He isn't a 100% happy with the result, and he feels like he'd like to take his time with his next solo venture. We're all just glad that they let themselves grow musically, and trust us with whatever they decide to put out.
Like always, your insights into this song made me look at it in a better light. I understood so much about how this song was put together, just by listening to you taking it apart.

The song is actually kind of sad when you look into the lyrics.
In the song, he talks about how he wishes to be "young, wild and free" and do all the things he would like to do. However, he cannot do them, because he is in K-Pop industrie, and you know, they have really strict rules and stuff there.
So if he were to get "drunk", or "go out(on a date?)", that would cause a lot of problems for his career.
In conclusion, he has that "daydream", in which he can do whatever he pleases.

This song is so jhope hes very much influenced by 90s style including house
House is actually one of J-Hope favorite genres. Supreme Boi who is one of the In-house BigHit producers did most of the producing for this mixtape along with PDogg and Adora who also did the background female vocals for this as well as many other BTS songs! J-Hope was also involved in producing as well.
This song is like many BTS songs, uptempo disguising some of the semi-sad lyrics that say that he is pretty much reduced to only being able to daydream about all the normal stuff that most people are able to do but being an idol now he has to be cautious 24/7 since all eyes are upon him now! There is a theme to J-Hopes whole mix tape showing and telling his inner most feelings! Like how in the song "Airplane" he is now able to go on planes something he always wanted to do as a little boy, drinking champagne, first class or private plane. So he is happy and grateful about becoming an idol. In the song "Piece of Piece" he also goes on to say by being an idol he wants to bring "hope", piece and happiness to army.

jhope was/is very much into house dnace and music specially while he did his mixtape he mentioned house was his favorite genre and he even upload several clips of him training house dance.
also i just want to say i love hoseok style of music is so funky and hype and interesting he used a lot of different sounds and kept everything sounding so much like him!! so colorful and fun.

I love how honest and authentic you were in this one. I think JHope is very much inspired by house he has a heavy dancing background and was a street dancer and to this day I think his favorite genre of music/dance music is house.

Jhope is the sound effect for lot of Bts songs. He used his voice creatively. I really like when he whisper 'sleep', and his voise becomes softer like he doesn't want to awaken the person who is sleeping.
