    I am begging people to either watch the video or read the very first paragraph of the description (before editing it, even): Yes, there will be a resin kit available in the future. You do not have to have a 3D printer, however the resin kit will lack some of the options and versatility of the STL files if you are able to print your own.

    I think you are the only instruction based youtuber who honestly answers requests. More often then not, even when I donate, not many answer or give explanation to questions I have. Thank you for making this video. I bought some zaku 2s I plan to put together and paint up for friends but I lack skill on weathering and grime. This has given me somewhat a boost to try. Thanks loads.
    Also I noticed you made mention of both 3d printers, stls, and other related topics. By chance can you do explanation vids for these? I frankly have never used a 3d printer, but would like to know what I'm getting into before I decide to jump into unfamiliar territory.

    • @SonicSledgehammerStudio
      @SonicSledgehammerStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      3D printing is a subject that is a little difficult to tackle, I find. Every answer to a simple question seems, in turn, to be three questions in and of itself! I print a fair bit myself, but I don't know that I'd be able to give detailed fixes and suggestions to it beyond 'try this, it worked for me, I don't know how.' 3DPrintingPro or 3D Printing Tabletop are some of the best here on TH-cam for answers with clear, visible explanation of how they work, if that helps at all.
      Get stuck in dumping grime on things and you'll master it in no time! :D The hard part, I always find, is knowing when to say when!

    So I started on my zaku 2s and so far this tutorial has really boosted my confidence in my own skills to get something looking realistic. Thank so much my bruh. I chose russian green primer and color for the armor but all the other paints. Honestly the brown leather adds enough effect as a dirty rusty look so I think I'll hold off on the red leather but will try on a test model down the line. These I'm making for friends. Will you be doing more armor/mech models with different techniques?

    Once again another cracking paint job on this 3D print.I have nether been one for 3D printed stuff as you can normally see the layer lines on the item but this one I really thought it was a resin piece until you said at the beginning of the video that it was printed.I think a matt varnish can either make it break a paint job but the finnished model looks brilliantly. Is it out of a rattle can and if so which make is it or is it the supper Matt brush on type from a previous video which you had recommended for an ultra matt finnish. The companies name i have forgotten 🙀🤦.Cheers Stephen.

    • @SonicSledgehammerStudio
      @SonicSledgehammerStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This print is from a resin machine, so it's a great deal smoother than typical FDM devices. That being said, I could slow down the print and go for even thinner layers and get a smoother result still!
      The varnish I used on this one was Vallejo Matt from a spray can, but the brush-on I mentioned previously would have been Instar Varnish+

    I wish Anvil Industry would get their store squared away on My Mini factory (MMF). They offer Patreon supporters 40% off on purchases through their MMF store and there is nothing loaded to the store for purchase. I realize they have their own webstore, but having all my miniatures stl files centralized in the MMF library is a feature I like. Why make it a perk if they dont have anything in the MMF store?

    An unfortunate and unpleasant surprise after supporting their Patreon.

    • @SonicSledgehammerStudio
      @SonicSledgehammerStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The files for the weapon and parts of the torso were in Blender from launch - they'd made note of it in their posts, including the previews. I mention in the video that one uses Blender, as well - their guide on Patreon makes the operation fairly simple. They've also got a video coming covering the topic to actually demonstrate it, as well.
      Edit: Just went and read they'd taken down the link to update the folder to the complete version with the high-tech options as well. It looks like you've got caught out in that in-between. :/ A bit irritating, but I'm sure they'll sort it.
      Edit edit...?: Less than an hour later and the new download links are live, including an STL only set if you're still not wanting to use Blender. I'd really suggest taking a look at the guide they've included, though. It's genuinely really easy to tweak the kit the way you'd like; I'd likewise not used Blender before.
