As a 4th year Civil Engineering student, naiiyak ako ewan ko siguro dahil hindi ako naglakas ng loob na pasukin ang first choice ko na architectural. Ang ganda and sobrang naiiyak ako like yung tears of joy na sinasabi nila, grabe talaga yung ginawang research behind this project and pwede mo na syang sabihin na project of the century.
I hope u end up being open to architects because most engineers like to grab all projects alone

Amazing! I dreamt of something like this in the Philippines since the time I had a brief vacation in Santorini. Hats off to you guys. May you have many more projects like this to make the Philippines and the Filipino talents stand out more.

I am an Architect and I am proud that one of our fellow Filipino Architect made it to the Architizer Awards. Let us support our fellow Filipino, this is another testament of how Filipinos are very creative and truly have a world class talent… And also for the other issues of this project that are being raise, that will be on another discussion. But for now let us not pull them down but instead celebrate with them as this recognition will also be a way to showcase the Filipino Architects!!!

Throughout history, almost all innovations were automatically dismissed, ridiculed, criticized, and frowned upon due to lack of understanding and/or ignorance. It's the same case for The Rise. Especially for Filipinos.

Congrats po Mr. Slater, sobrang napahanga talaga ako nang mapanood ko yung house tour nito. Dream house talaga.. Yung mga basher po, baka concern lang sila. Ako wala ako alam sa pag build ng mga ganyan pero for sure naman pinag aralan.. Yung issue ko lang talaga dito ay saan ako kukuha ng pambili 🤣 sana one day kahit ipa air bnb man lang para ma experience ❤❤❤

Inyohang team na gyud ang naghimo ug "leap of faith" para sa Philippine architecture and to prove na kaya sa Pinas makipag-compete with other nations. All that's really needed is "support".
Truly a unique project in the Philippines. Of all the rising ASEAN countries, Philippines has the most boring architecture today. This project breaks that.

Nako slater, ur born to be an architect, the way you talk about it, we can tell your passionate about it, and ung output mo kita naman.
Noong nakita ko to for the first time. Then maya-maya or kinabukasan ipinakita ko sa workers. Ganda talaga. Na amaze sila. HOW I WISH talaga nag-Architect ako. Dahil nagdrdrawing din ako syempre nakikita ng classmates. Magarchitect daw ako. My mostake was, hindi ko kinilala. Hindi ko inalalam. Now I REGRET so much, and as I see this now, my heartnis aching kasi I should have been designing beautiful structures pero wala eh. Mahirap daw talaga sabi ng mga kilala kong architect. May isa akong kasamang architect sa parokya. Ang ganda ng concept ng ng background ng altar. Simple pa lng yun, for our 50th anniversary. Ni hindi mo aalalaing architect kasi simple lang sya eh. Natutula tuloy ngayon. Ha ha. Napakagagaling ninyong nagdesign nitong The Rise. Parang The One. A marvelous architectural genius. Kung taga Cebu ako kahit maging Technical Assistant ng project na yan ayos sa akin. Isang karangalan maging part ng project na yan.

I hope that this residential area also has a portion that the public can visit and be able to take picture... it will be a place that everyone can visit,.. transform the area to become a tourist destination.... just like in the US, like Lombard Street

this is actually something to be proud of, didnt imagine that this design was resembled in our very own rice terraces, this is just more than our architecture, this is our culture. i’m so proud that i’m able to witness this work, keep it up engineers and architects, i’m so proud of this one.🙌
When I watch your previous vlog about this project nakakatuwa kc very innovative and as complex as Ifugao Rice Terraces. I'm from Cordillera region maganda kasi integrated sa building, structure ang Philippines heritage. Sana dumami pa ang mga green architecture and green engineering.

Just bought the top units of the properties cant wait for it to finish.
nasanay kasi tayong mga pinoy sa mga conventional building constructions kaya madali maquestion mga bago na gawang pinoy na parang tumatak saten na pag pinoy made ay pawang subclass kaya proud marami satin pag may mga imported na hawak hahaha. to see this monumental class of a landmark made by Pinoy and for the Pinoy na peding ipagmalaki sa buong mundo ay nakakaproud na umaangat ang industry natin sa engineering and architecture.
Drafting student here and i decided to shift architecture course next year because of you sir yung mga videos nyo ni sir Austria treasure para saming mga nangangarap napunta sa field na ginagalawan nyo🫶

Normal lang yung questions pero siguro kaya nasabi ni engr slater yung last part kasi may mga nagtanong parang walang tiwala sa kanila. As engineer and architect pangalan mo nakasalalay lalo pa sa gantong big project so hinding hindi gagawa nang shortcut yan sila sir slater sa project na to. Even The Eiffel Tower of Paris was being ridiculed when it was constructed because it wasnt the usual tower & the design was out of trend. But look at it now! The Rise is a project out of filipino ingenuity & design & construction movement to push above & beyond the ordinary to extra ordinary without compromising the safety of the residents and the community.
