Shinobi and its sequel, Nightshade, are easily my favourite PS2 exclusive games. I absolutely hate that they don't get the love they deserve, and that is probably why we never got a third 3D Shinobi... You just have to learn to play it properly. Once you've got the hang of the systems, there really isn't anything else as good. I want more Shinobi whereever we can get it. The 3DS game was good, and hopefully, the new 2D game will be too, but another one like this, would just be so cool... I appreciate you giving it some recognition...
@@delavegab No I don't think so. It wasn't quite as tight, but it is still a brilliant game. Everything that was in the first is there, and the unlockable characters are amazing to replay with. There are a few stages where the camera can be infuriating at times but for me, it is still only beaten on the system in terms of exclusives by the first 3D Shinobi. There isn't anything else like them that is near as good...
I love this game, I played when it was lanched and until this days I think its underappreciated, and a game style quite unique, simples, efficient that was not yet copied/apprimorated
Nightshade's one of my favorite PS2 games. I played it more than Shinobi. I think it had more air dashing between enemies. It's been a decade. I just remember I love it. UwU
I remember playing this as a kid, i had gotten it used so it didn't come with a book, and i don't remember if the game shows you how to do ninpo, but i made it to the end without using ninpo, but never beat the boss, then years late, went back to it in my 20s, I'm like, I COULD'VE BEEN USING NINPO THE WHOLE TIME!
I fully agree ... S3 is still unmatched and the pinnacle of a 2D ninja game. Shinobi on the PS2, the graphics may be low poly the gameplay and presentation are still the best for a fast-paced ninja game.
Hi there 🙂 funny you ask that, because I'm currently playing Ninja Gaiden for the first time 😆 (video underway). I'd say that *Shinobi* : is more about moving as fast as you can, killing everything in your path and being efficient to stay alive. Levels don't have backtracking and feature quite a bit of platforming. *Ninja Gaiden* : so far, there is backtracking and plenty of different combos, button combinations and weapons. It's much more similar to a Devil May Cry, just short of a style meter. And buddy, I recommend both! These games are dope as heck. 🔥
Probably my favorite ps2 game. Hell in my top shinobi games. Game fuckin rocks. I have this game physical and digital. Sega definitely needs to release a collection of shinobi and nightshade on current generations.🤟🏻💯🥷🏻
One of my favs and I also have the physical copy. 🤝🏻I think Sega doesn't like money that much. I'd be ready to throw mine at them if they re-released this bad boy. 😆
Shinobi PS2 is a great underrated game!
Definitely one of my favorite ps2 titles. During the days before DLC and micro transactions. Good times.
2 of the best games ever.. shinobi ps2 and sands of time🙌🏽

There's gonna be a new 2D game? Ohhh I need to look into that!
as far as I remember nightshade was way worse than Shinobi

Homie forgot the other ninja series ninja gaiden he's technically still a ninja even tho it's hack and slash
What is the difference (in gameplay) between this game and Ninja Gaiden (Xbox)?

Red Dead Redemption 2 is like the opposite of a real “game”
