Seems like you doing it yourself entails a constant coolant leak and having to change your starter every couple of years. Glad you finally got it done right!
Unfortunately that's the reality of having imported vehicles or foreign vehicles is that repairs are usually specialty and parts have to be ordered it's always a pain in the ass. This is exactly why I didn't buy a mini Clubman when I had the chance
I am in the market for my first Porsche, my ultimate bucket list dream car. Then I see an advice from a pro on Internet who states that if owner plan to keep a car more than 5 year, he can only recommend two japaneses Honda and Lexus/Toyota. The reason is exactly what you encounter here ie breakdown necessitating expensive repair. I am thinking now getting a Toyota Supra.

I have a 04 Cayenne Turbo, and am now having the weak starter issue. I've done a lot of the repairs on this thing also, but not sure i wanna get into the starter myself. Also having another issue now with the brake proportioning warning. Read about it, and looks like some wires under the driver's side carpet get wet and corroded, and boom. Yeah, fun car... But if you can't work on it yourself, don't buy one. Also, this is my 2nd one. The first one was just an S, and had the dreaded cylinder scoring happen. Seems the Turbo models are built better from what I've heard. Anyway, great video!
