With the disposable bottle put as much propane in it as it will take. Put it in the freezer then finish filling it the next day. This way you never have to touch either valve, which is never a good idea.

That was the best How Too vid I've seen about these two types ever. The venting trick of the 'Non-fillable' canister is the trick. Being able to get a lot more in, by venting is really the trick here. The re-fillable unit has that valve built in. The take away from this vid is: "Don't try and get the very last bit in", as it's not worth it, and is probably on the dangerous side.

Someone commented that they lube the threads of their gas bottles before capping them for storage… Absolutely never ever use any lubricants of any kind on your gas or oxygen tanks/bottles ever. Not for storing or using because you’re potentially causing elan explosive situation once under pressure that could kill you. Even solvents might not remove lubricants fully putting yourself at risk. Pressure bottle rules 101. Stay safe.

You'd be better off putting insulation and plywood to close the air holes. No fires in my coop.We live in Alaska and don't use any kind of heat. Hasn't been a problem. The light is probably not good also. They only need light from6amto10pm.Hope this helps

I believe the Flameking is a 16.4 ounce tank, so I wouldn't think going just over 1# shouldn't be an issue. Bear in mind .4 ounces is only .025 lbs.

Down here in Florida, we call that Heat Lightning. It happens quite frequently here.

Because the earth is round you can't see a boat more then 9 miles away when you are in the open ocean. You can see lightning further because it is higher then the horizon, but you may not see the bolts if it is too far away only the flahes of light above.

We have had this for a few years now in Iowa...always that purple and it's constant then thunder constant rolling....something changing for sure

I have 4 roosters, as well...sounds like our place! The first 3 got along with entire flick. Bantam was oldest, and alpha. We had 2 coops with those 3 roosters. Then Cloudy was hatched. Now we have a problem. I seperated into a roo flock a few days ago. If that doesn't work? Free Range. They will absolutely die from fighting if they can't escape. I also have a hawk problem. it's why we haven't free ranged and had only 1 loss to a predator in 2 years! We have a similar type run. 1 stupid hawk soared through my netting, it was when my hen was killed. I think were having a rooster flock. it's seems great WITHOUT hens after a few days! So you must be correct.

Great video. The filter is a great touch. It should take care of any oils or debris stripped from the hose as a result of high pressure.

The threads are steel, as is the bottle. They don’t mix materials in the manufacturing process.
