Marvel need to keep these writers on their team because they did a fantastic job! The actors, the visual effects, the directing, cinematography *chef's kiss* It felt like I was watching an HBO show like The Last of Us, House of the Dragon, Game of Thrones.
Sylvie never had a life she's been running since she was a child. Seeing friends and families being together at McDonald's made her realize she could be in a world that wasn't about to suffer a catastrophic event like she's been hiding in since she escaped
I think one of the coolest things about the scene when Loki time-slips back to past O.B. and their conversation ends up being utilized to communicate to future O.B. and Mobius is that it reminds me of when Doc accidentally got sent back to 1885 in Back to the Future. Moments after Marty witnessed Doc disappearing, he wrote and sent a letter to Marty so that he would have it delivered to him at the exact moment they got separated. Doc sending Marty instructions 70 years before was on my mind the whole time Loki and O.B. came up with a plan and I enjoyed every moment of that scene.

@@MadamWilson Yeah, I think Marvel is beginning to lose their touch. They haven't been doing the greatest since Endgame and the last Spider-Man movie. Their shows are especially bad. People are valid, they are right to complain. Their budget for this show is a lot more, I think, than for a lot of the shows they've done, which one of the reasons it's doing so good. It's kind of sad, really. Since most of the Avengers died, they've kind of gone on a downhill slide.
Filming in the UK is really paying off for these shows. Having both Kate Dickie and Liz Carr as General and Judge respectively, then putting them up against Wunmi Mosaku's Hunter B-15, was so entertaining to watch. Also, this episode taught me that I'm older than McNuggets. I'm not sure how to take that information.

I am Thumbs up #369!!! the key to the universe! LOKI!!! LOVE IT!!! bring it on...we would think, Mobius would be time slipping too because he got pruned into the void and made it back ...just like Loki.
To quote Bender “WE’RE BACK BABY”! This 1 episode has some of the best use of time travel/glitching moments of all time. The way that Loki, Mobius and OB were all able to have a 3 way conversation across 2 different points in time blew my mind WHILE also making die laughing. Not to mention the absolutely perfect building of tension in the last 10 minutes, I felt like I was watching a Christopher Nolan movie. And Ke Huy Quan is absolutely PERFECT as OB, hiring him for Loki is one of the best decisions Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios has ever made, and just like Owen Wilson he must be protected at all costs. Also Loki time slipping looks absolutely painful. Like he’s been thrown into a taffy puller and is being ripped apart while turned inside out.
One of my favorite kinds of comedy is time travel shenanigans so the whole OB/Loki/Mobius conversation had me cracking up😂Great reaction as always guys!
This is how you start a second season. Everything was awesome from the Time Slipping to future Loki talking to the past OB and finding out that Loki was the one that gave him his nickname I guess. And seeing Sylvie in the future and then in the past at a McDonald's no less living free from the TVA and he who remains and trying every item on the McDonald's menu. Awesome reaction you two 🔥.
Now this is how you start a second season! I was slightly worried that it was going to be a step down in quality and a bit concerned about O.B just being a comic relief, but all my worries are put to rest while watching this! I can see O.B become a fan favorite.
We were so certain a5 the end of last season that Loki was in another universe. Turns out he was in the past, when Kang was the public head of the TVA. Something happened that caused Kang to reset everyone’s memories and he made the Time Keepers to be figureheads. Obi wasn’t changed, since he remembers Mobius. Possibly because Obi didn’t witness the thing that caused the reset. My theory, Loki in the future pruned current Loki. He’ll need to remember to do that later in the season. A detail I noticed. When Loki time looped. He always disappeared for an equivalent time.
It’s kind of funny that Wendy brought up the Mother angle of the general and X-5. I am toting around with the thought and a few reaction channels about X-5. In the comics, X-5 is part of the Weapon program that got us Captain America, Deadpool, and Wolverine. X-5(experiment 5) code name is Grendel. Grendel in Germanic/Norse mythology for the story of Beowulf. The story also brings in Grendel’s Mother. This is Loki’s world and that legend is built in by his people.
Actually all of the Marvel Disney+ series have been really good in their own right, with the exception of She-Hulk and Secret Invasion. Those two had a few good parts but overall not terribly impressed. WandaVision set a new standard of keeping you thinking, But Loki was the best story of how time really works and DOESN'T work and who is the real power in reality. And for Loki to go through his redemption arc to fight all of this was an amazing choice (and of course Tom is amazing!). Think about it, this is ALL Loki. He hasn't paired up with any known Hero in the Multiverse unlike all of the other D+ series! I look forward to a serious at times and crazy/funny series 🙂
The pace, the humor, the dialog, the sets, the drama...all so good. Loki didnt miss a beat from S1. Quan was a great casting, only other person I could see nailing that role is Danny Pudi. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
Here's a bit of a prediction/theory that I have: a future Loki prunes this Loki that we see in this episode. Given that we don't see who pruned Loki, it's best to assume one from a future (possibly a future episode) prunes the present Loki (from ep1). Plus, all the other TVA employees are running, so none of them would have any time to prune a variant.
They need to put this writing team in charge of the entire MCU. I mean, I couldn't manage care about or finish Secret Invasion, and I _tried._ But now I'm here like YEAAH! LOKI INTERACTING WITH HIS COWORKERS!!

Not sure why everyone is worried if Ke Huy Quan will be in every episode or have just a small part in the series. Marvel didn't snatch him up before anyone else could only to shove him the background. Plus since OB was down there alone and forgotten, he wasn't continually getting his memory wiped like Mobius and most if not all those who work in the TVA. He's going to be able to provide a lot of missing info and there are all those gadgets he's been working on too.

Great first episode! One thing I noticed: in Endgame, it was established that changing the past doesn't change the future. In this episode, they went with Back to the Future time rules.

As there will be more at hand what TVA is going to do as it continues down the path of pruning even more lines because of the ideas I presented to you, the he who remains. And by the way, it's really a great dynamite Tom and Owen Wilson is really the funniest and simplest his communication in talking about the gaps of Loki himself. I was so looking forward to this season 2 to kick off and not gonna lie, I was quite concerned when the director of the first season happily said "alright, I'm out", but damn, these directors that have been brought on from Moon Knight have done an insane job ! What a kick off for season 2 ! It's so grand in scale that it almost felt like an actual season finale ! And the fact that they're OPENING the season with it !? Goddamn ! I hope they didn't peak early and it's all downhill from here, but I want to hope ! This first episode really showed us we're in good hands, so let's hope they stick the landing ! So hyped for this season. Also, I love that in the rest of the MCU, anytime you go back in time, you just create a new branched timeline, but since time runs differently with the TVA , we're back to a good old Back to the Future style of linear time travel shenanigan, where changing the past actually influences the future/present. I missed these type of time travel stories. I feel like it's the writers clever way to have their cake and eat it as well. PS : that mobius "SKIN ?" moment, followed by his thumbs up are the best silent comedy the MCU has done since ... Ever ? Long live Owen Wilson ! PPS : long live Ke Huy Quan ! So happy to see him being part of the MCU, now ! I really hope he becomes a regular all throughout the MCU, like Wong.

Loki and mobius have to hunt down sylvie; sylvie is finally free at the cost of a multiversal war, tva civil war and the search for victor timely. Things are definitely going to escalate quickly this season. Also sylvie landing in broxton oklahoma (during j michael strazinski thor run this war the town asgard settled on post ragnarok and thor reawakening all the asgardians from their human forms)

Last year, we had Xenoblade Chronicles 3 which featured a game mechanic called Ouroboros. Not long after, Cobra Kai Season 5, Episode 6 was given that word as its’ title. Now we have a character with that name, or O.B. for short. Ke Huy Quan is always a win. I’m excited for next week’s episode. We still don’t know where Ravonna is, B-15 and Mobius remember and aside with Loki which is a very good thing, and in more ways than one Sylvie is finally getting a taste of freedom. She better conjure up cash though.

I was worried that quality of season 2 but all worries disappeared with that first scene how well it was shot and the powerful music. WE ARE SO BACK!
