30mins everyday is more than enough for a solid training session and feel good afterwards. Been dancing since 2010 kept me mentally sane through the good and the bad. Keep it up JRD 👍
Can’t wait to do this! I posted on another video about my knee being messed up. Have a tear in my meniscus. My right knee was killing me. Turned out the pain was NOT from the tear. In fact I was told many people are waking around with tears but no issue and never know it. My issue was due to patella tracking or runners knee. Have to strengthen my quad and have been going to PT for last month. It’s gotten much better. I asked the PT if I would be able to jump rope again. Not only did he say yes, he said it’s a great low impact exercise if done correctly. Two days ago I jumped for the first time in about 6 months. Only did five minutes but no irritation. So happy to be getting back to this. This half hour routine will have to wait but it looks amazing.
Started a few weeks back with jump rope again. Endurance is still there, but my legs are tired really soon and aching the day after. I still progressing. But 30 sec on and 15 sec off for 30 minutes ist crazy :D
I'm so EXCITED about this workout because I just bought the 1lb rope! I was hoping you would create a workout using heavier ropes creating a longer HIIT and HERE IT IS! YOU ROCK! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
THANK YOU @@JumpRopeDudes I just did this workout with the 1lb because my other ropes are at home. This is an AMAZING workout. It kicked my butt. I can feel all my holidays calories melting away! 🤣🤣🤣
Day 5 of this one in a row! Took two weeks for my shin splints to heal after I did this the first couple times. Keep it up and pay attention to his other videos!
Lesson learned. Just started and pulled my right calf muscle, very painful. I made the mistake of going in cold, no warmup. Can’t wait for it to heal. Love you guys, life changers.
@@JumpRopeDudes I figured the jumping was a warmup. Good to get back at it tomorrow. I picked up a good 1lb rope and if I’m still at it in 4 weeks I’m ordering the package you guys use.
After rupturing my left quad tendon back in Oct of '22, I was forced to slacked off on my jump rope work due to rehab. I was able to return to exercise work about the middle of '23. But it's been a challenge. I can jump again but doesn't quite feel the same. I can't get the same degree of hop off my left foot so the boxer skip isn't possible yet. Not sure it ever will be. Running in place is doable but hard to maintain for more than a few seconds. I basically just do a regular bounce but I think my right leg is overcompensating to the point that my right arch fatigues sooner than it used to. I have full mobility but it's going to be a bit of an uphill climb retraining. I like these continuous 20/10 and 30/15 splits without the 1 minute rest after a few sets but my conditioning has dropped so much that sometimes a longer recovery break is necessary.
Wow, this one is really greeaaattt! You wil feel within you that you are really burning. A police officer in the philippines started to do the jump rope exercise since the start of the pandemic. But due to my busy work, i always consider myself as a beginner 😁
Thanks Dan . This was an epic sweat. Don’t have the heavier ropes but just did double unders with the 1/4 pounder in those sessions. Maybe you can do a workout that alternates between double unders and regular skills. That would be tight. ✌️ peace
So I did these for about 3 weeks straight with an Amazon jump rope, supposed to be 1/2lb but was more like a 1/4. I just finished my 2nd day of this with weighted ropes from cross rope, and it’s like a whole new workout. Found myself not finishing some of the exercises. It’s awesome. I’m using the get fit set, and a 1.5lb ropes.
G’day mate, I love these outdoor workouts. This jump rope changing weighted ropes format would be great for a monthly challenge to follow after the Jump Rope + Dumbbell challenge on the JRDtv platform 💪
Great workout! So intense! Thank you! Only one question. Do you think Jumping in a basketball court like this, with a map, but in barefoot shoes could be ok? After 3 years i cant get confortable with no minimalistic footwear anymore 😅 thank you!
Ah, this werkout came right on time as I was in the gym getting ready to do a serious jump rope werkout. Followed along with the quarter pound crossrope. Hey, perhaps you can convince crossrope to create another custom JRD rope that's some kind of cool blue (royal/dark blue) for the actual rope with you guys custom handles.
I do 20mins jump rope but i do it 1minute jump 30sec rest Repeat 5x Then rest 3minutes 4 Sets total of 20minutes ... Is this effective for loosing fat everyday ? Or need to be 20minutes straight jump rope ??
I'm starting my cut weight today, I am at 153 lbs. Now The goal is to get to 145 lbs by April 7th, and it will be my birthday gift to myself. Is to celebrate 52 years old!
Question: I can’t do more than 25 skips so far without the rope getting tangled so I can’t really do a planned workout. Should I just keep practicing until I can skip non stop for 30 seconds and then follow one of routines. ? ( 25 seems insignificant I know but yesterday it was 15 max)
What type of rope are you using? I get tripped up some times and I just keep going. But if you cannot do more than 25 skips in a row then I'm wondering if you have any weight in your jump rope.
@@JumpRopeDudes I bought a 1lb rope off of Amazon, seems good but if you think that may be my issue I’ll get something else. I sharpen knives professionally and I know that some novices struggle because they started with the wrong stones. I’ll try for a week every day and if i can’t do 30 I’ll perhaps get a lighter rope like the ones you use.
I spontaneously started jumping in intervals of 1 or 2 minutes. Usually I do 1-1-2-2-1-1-2-2 with lunges, crunches, etc. in between, and finish with how ever many minutes I can jump without stopping. I’m at a 5 minute finish currently. Does this seem as an ok workout?
It's hard to say. There is a "good burn" like breathing heavy because workouts need to feel intense. There is a bad burn like something is not right inside. Listen to your body and visit a doctor if you are concerned. 🙏🏽
If you want to skip daily, go for it. However, do you feel like your intensity is high enough? Because if you don't feel like resting maybe you should push harder during workouts... just a thought
