    YES!!!!!!! Canadian sports are back on tv! Who needs the NHL. We have down river mushroom racing. Please do this every Saturday night. All you need is a catchy theme song that's easy to whistle.

    Great to see you outdoors during this crisis.im hiking the PCT and and they’re telling us to get off to go home to populated areas where we would have more exposure to the virus. Point in case, had I gone home, I would have been exposed to the virus like my family has been. Now they’re all quarantined. Have fun and enjoy nature’s beauty like I’m doing.

    • @LostLakes
      @LostLakes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry to hear that Jerry....I hope you guys are doing ok. Totally hear you, it's frustrating. Camping is completely banned in Ontario now. A safe, easy outing like this with maximum social distancing is forbidden but you can mill about in Walmart and touch everything.

    What a little piece of heaven you’s found there. Those hammocks were friggin amazing. They looked so comfortable. Just amazing shots of the river and ice and great competition on the river. Always the best with you’s. Thank you so much.🥰

    • @LostLakes
      @LostLakes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Logan! I thought it was a pine grosbeak too! But an experienced birder told me it's a white winged crossbill.

    • @loganclark8880
      @loganclark8880 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Backcountry Angling Ontario upon rewatching it, yup it’s a crossbill. Didn’t noticed the crossed bill before. Both species have the red with slight yellow and white wing bars. They can look very similar. I guess size would be the best way to differentiate them without a really good look at em.

    Have you noticed how much cleaner the sky is looking. I noticed your phone was located just below where your beer was resting, hum.! The bees and birds were all stirred up in Niagara today as the temp was +14 .! Spring is here and moving north. Thank s for the updated review of the AMOK"s, they do seem to be the top of the line. I will have to save a little for one of those, but one day.! Thank you 's again with thumbs up.!

    Yet another beautiful movie to cheer us up!
    And by the way, you're welcome to visit us in Scandinavia anytime :-) I guess you'll find it much like Canada, but a lot smaller! We don't have those vast areas of wilderness that you have. And yes, that makes me a little envyous.

    Great piece of literature that Erin is reading! Hatchet is one of the all time greats! Also, those hammocks are slick! Scandinavian products are definitely elite. Did the ancestry kit for Christmas last year and found out my wife and I are both primarily Scandinavian. We are now both really wanting to make a trip over there!

    Got to love Northern Ontario. I live near Perth. All the ice is off here. An acquaintance of mine sent a photo down here from Iroquois Falls on Monday, of a pike he caught on Lake Abitibi , that went 33 pounds. He's still ice fishing up there, and says there is still lots of ice.

    Awesome new hammocks, brewskis, running water, and Pooh sticks. Life just doesn't get much better. The hammocks look very comfortable...what about the packability & weight (I'm a backpacker)?

    • @LostLakes
      @LostLakes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That does sound incredibly chill when you put it that way...all we needed to complete the experience was some warmth. The hammock with bug net is 1350g and the tarp is 500g. I'm sure you could shave some grams with a less deluxe hammock, but I guess that's the constant trade-off between comfort and practicality. They also offer a standard "gathered end" hammock which is only 495g.

    Enjoy those Draumr's! I camp with a lot of friends that use hammocks also and one of the best features of the Draumr is hanging between trees that are much closer together then gathered end hammocks can use (I've hung between trees 8feet apart). Looks like you have the latest update (I got the original XL when they first released it) I am curious to see if the bug netting is any better, yours should be grey I think, originals like mine are white mesh... works fine for bugs of course but visibility sucks and god forbid you turn on your headlamp inside the hammock at night and blind yourself!

    • @LostLakes
      @LostLakes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks JM! Hahah that's interesting...is it that much harder to see through? Ours is grey 😅

    • @jmullin
      @jmullin 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LostLakes Depends on light conditions but it can be pretty bad yeah... enough that I would spend money on a replacement bug net if they came out with a black one... grey I would need to see in person before shelling out money.

    I thought I was the only one with the night terrors in the woods, LOL!! ....only I have yelled out several times, just ask my buddies. In my dream it's not a bear, its a person running in the woods in the dark and eventually they slow to a walk and you hear every step as he walks up to my hammock. I think I watched too many horror movies as a kid, hehe!
