Ha was literally watching one of your streams while painting and thought oh, how do I do the transfers again, googled it and was like oh, back to John again I guess! Awesome guide btw, gets straight to the point, no messing about.
I take a paper towel and fold it into a small square 3"x3" or 2"x2", then I soak it in water and sit it in a saucer or shallow bowl. I cut out my transfer and lay them front side up on that soaking wet paper towel square. Within seconds they are ready to slide off. Instead of micro set I put down some Vallejo Matte varnish, then apply the decal, get it all even and in the proper position. Then I hit it with a few brushes of Mircro Sol, once it's dried and done, I go over it with another brushing of Vallejo Matte varnish.
This has been a wonderfully simple video. I never used Transfers before, mostly because I never needed them. "The minis come with enough decals on the pauldrons, etc. Why would I need more?" Then I started doing Kitbashes and kind of homebrew stuff, and those Transfers are godsends. Got a kill team of Chaos Space Marine Legionaries, but they don't have any Khorne symbols. The transfers do however. Now my army can rep their Chaos god on the model and in mechanics.
Where we’re you this morning! I just spent all day doing about 30 transfers on my imperial knight and I have both micro sol and set and I gave up as I didn’t think it was working. I didn’t know I needed to apply it first and leave it to dry. Great video
Been using this stuff since I started, never fails Btw your opinion on the new space marine transfers not having BA on them? At least the new transfers from Leviathan are great
@@ba_commander no but I have a new bottle of set and sol ready when I get more. That's assault termites, a battle force, start collecting, DC boxes...all those sheets gone lol
@@ba_commander maybe mine were off? But yea like a horrible chemical vinegar smell and the liquid would fizz after I shook the bottles… I ended up not using them and throwing them out.
I'm literally doing transfers now. How on earth did you know I needed this?
This stuff is really good! Have it for over 2 years now cause a friend of mine told me I had to use this. He was fricking right haha!

Glad it was helpful :)
This is amazing. Put the transfers on my BA combat patrol few days ago and was getting annoyed they weren't sticking. Now I know😂

Been using it for a while and it is the best.

Glad you found the video helpful, Micro Sol & Set really changed my life in terms of making transfers super easy.
Awesome video. Simple, easy to follow and takes the stress out of decals!! Thanks mate. For the Angel!!
Glad to help

Glad it was useful. Yeah usually takes like 2 hours for me to get about 2 coats of both done, dry etc. buts it’s very worth it!
I wish I'd shelled out for this two years ago. I spent the money on other stuff and regretted it every time I had a bumpy transfer.
Been using this stuff since I started, never fails

I had hoped the removal of BA transfers meant BA specific kits would be coming?
Sweet man cheers for the tips
These tip vids would also prob hit well in the algo as a yt vertical short!
Any tips for home printing transfers?
I've never done this sorry!
Only problem is I spilled my paint water cup on a stack of about 20 transfer sheets....
Did you manage to save any of them?

I swear by this stuff
Are they suppose to smell terrible? To the point where I need a mask?
I don’t think so. My bottles didn’t have a distinct smell.

@@Ally.Cat.252 i'm pretty sure micro set is vinegar, but it shouldn't have a very pronounced smell unless you're smelling from the bottle directly
😂 doesnt add link in description
Thanks for pointing that out it's added now!
