He worked with a Schumacher in his 40s, 3 years out of business and most of all a Schumacher who suffered a almost fatal accident on a motorbike in 2009 that left him with a basal skull fracture (commonly a fatal injury in its own right, in motorsport fatalities in particular), a severed artery to the brain; damage to the second artery; severe concussion; neck damage; muscle damage; and severely limited range of movement in the neck (which lasted well into his return year).

Lewis has never dominated any of his teammates that he has had to extent of Max has, and he has had teammates that were no better than Perez such as Kovalainen or Bottas, yet Lewis got beaten by them much more than Max has been beaten by Perez. This is the same Perez who outscored Hulkenberg during their time as teammates. The same Perez that just about lost to Button 10-9 in their 2013 qualifying battle during Perez’ one and only season as a Mclaren driver.
Hamilton and Button raced 58 Gp’s as teammates and Button managed to outqualify Hamilton in 18 of those.
After 73 Gp’s as teammates together Perez has still only started ahead of Verstappen 10 times, and as of now hasn’t outqualified Verstappen in over a year.
Not to mention Hamilton just about edged Rosberg 42-36 in qualifying over a 4 year span, and is currently losing to Russell 27-24 over 1 lap.
Since the start of 2019, Verstappen has only been outqualified a total of 12 times, when Gasly, Albon and Perez’ results are combined.
Verstappen is just flat out the faster driver and is much more consistent in his performances than Hamilton is.

Driving an Indy car is way less demanding than an F1 car. Think of all the G-Force and strain an F1 car puts on the driver. No power steering ain't gonna be a problem in a car especially at high speeds. My first car had no power steering so when going slow you worked a bit harder but Indy tracks are mainly high speed so you will not be working hard to turn. It's not like a Go-Kart with tiny wheels where your wrists are burning after a few laps.

If Hamilton is supposed to be the goat he wouldn’t be struggling against a guy that was outscored by rookie Latifi in equal machinery.
or wouldn’t be the only Merc driver during 2014-2021 that missed out on Q3.
or wouldn’t have lost so many titles in the best car.
or wouldn’t be the loudest complainer whenever he doesn’t drive a perfect car.

    • @betofernandez5524

Imo Lewis is the fastest driver, maybe ever, when all is OK. That´s the point. Past year he was focused enought and performed clearly better than Russell, maybe better than any other being the best after RB, but if you take a look on all his F1 years you clearly see that he is not committed or confortable when the car is not that good.
Button said once this exact thing. Lewis has something else than any other driver I've seen when all is working.
This can be a weakspot, but in F1 there is only one truth, you win if you have the best car, or almost the best car and you are better than your rival. And this, is exactly what happened in all the championships Lewis won.

I highly doubt this guy has the capability, knowledge and skills to make a judgement about a Schumacher/Hamilton comparison in regard to talent. I believe Schumacher was better and faster...not more than a gut feeling. He was able to make a team/car fast. He's proven that twice, with Benetton and with Ferrari. Hamilton on the other hand was at the right time in the right team. I think he'll fail at Ferrari.
