There is no single greatest country in the world. There never was and never will be. Every country always had, has and will have its own unique flaws and qualities, ups and downs, pros and cons. All of them unique and not comparable. You can't say that one country has the least flaws and is therefore the best - It may have less in quantity, but more in severity. There is no way to measure the single greatest country in the world, and that's the way it will always be.

Damari Hanson One con is not comparable to another. It's the same with pros. With quantity you can do it down, but there are some pros and cons that cannot be compared because they are just so different. Even statistically, we can't find the greatest country.

    • @silphaer5353
      @silphaer5353 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

Dante Angelo As I said, one flaw is not necessarily comparable to another. Some are, but some are so different, that you can't compare them even in severity, because they different types of flaws. One country may have the lowest quantity of flaws, or the lowest severity as far as you can compare and measure, but flaws affect different people within each country. Some may be more severe than for children than for adults, or for people in certain jobs, or with certain disabilities. Everyone lives unique lives and so therefore everyone is affected by flaws in unique ways. You can't measure the greatest country, because each flaw will have a completely different effect on each person.

They are the worst generation this country has ever had. They allow propaganda to pose as news. They allowed the banking system to be bailed out by MY generation. What are their accomplishments? They brought back a lot of STDs in the 1960s and 1970s. They allow censorship today, they're the ones IMPLEMENTING it. Their generation just attempted a COUP against the president.

Bram Cohen is one of us.
We gave the corporations a chance to be responsible, the governments a chance to be responsible. They think they own what we created, and the funny thing is, they think they can control it.
So, time to throw open Pandora's box.
You think this stupid webrowser app is "the internet"... It's the best method to place some control on what can be communicated. yeah, that was LBJ's original idea.
I'm not part of Yang Gang (bc the mess we're in right now needs someone who understands how the sausage is made, if even just a bit) but Yang has a REALLY GOOD POINT: gdp doesn't measure how well a country is doing as a whole.
he points out his wife - who stays home to take care of their kids - contributes zero to GDP is why GDP is a stupid measurement is perfect example. her contribution to our society shouldn't be "zero."
my mom wasn't "zero." 90% of moms in 1950s, or '60s, or (my)'70s didn't contribute "zero."
Yang is right. we need to measure contribution (and wealth and ability and FUTURE capability) differently.
if only bc my mom contributed the fuck out of future GDP by raising all of us. (and you're welcome, cult45 and gop GDP obsessives.)

The very original people were the Hiberni, Pictish and the Britons. Have you ever heard of any of these people except the fact that the last group sounds suspiciously like the name of a city?
Course not, because they were all murdered by or forced into cultural reform by the next settlers known as the 'Roman Empire' and then the Anglo Saxons spawned from that combination of groups.
So Congratulations, if you are British, without the Romans stomping into your sand box you would be ACTUALLY nothing. If you aren't British...Well. I'm sure I can find genocide and forcible removal of the original people in your history too.

Nah it couldn’t be that. Actually, the fact that America has the highest number of adults who believe in angels that shows that we have greater religious freedom. The fact that China, with more than 4x the number of people has less that believe in angels actually shows less religious freedom.

The USA doesn't want to face those facts. We're so distracted by pointless views and ideals that have nothing to do with what's wrong with our country. Education and unemployment are, I think, are our biggest faults and we do little to nothing to fix it. More and more parents let the internet and technology raise their kids instead of instilling morals and basic needs to live a successful life or contribute to the betterment of the country.

    • @michaelhennessey8927

I believe you can judge a country's greatness by the number of people that are willing to risk their lives to get to it.
There was a time (before liberal ideologies took hold) that people would risk their lives to get here with nothing but a few dollars in their pockets.
Because of liberal ideologies we are nowhere near as free as we used to be (or should be), but we are considerably more free than all of the countries he has mentioned.
Because of liberal ideologies financial freedom is a thing of the past and that does set us back quite a bit.
