    I have a 4 tier Gold Cube and swear by it.
    Biggies are to thoroughly clean the cube mats before using with soap, rinse and re-rinse to remove any manufacturing oils, contaminates, or release agents. then take water and a brush and make sure the mats are thoroughly saturated with water, & no air bubbles in them before using.
    I have met and spoken with the inventor of the Gold Cube. He says no soap is to be used with the Gold Cube. It's also mentioned in the video that comes with the Gold Cube not to use soap with it.
    Its the cats pajamas for beach prospecting.
    Your 97% recovery is on par with my own experiences. I also bought the grizzily for mine and can't wait until good weather to try it out.

      I agree 100% with everything you say. The gold cube is an awesome gold catching machine, but it does take some careful preparation to make sure it will function correctly.

    I dunno Dylan, the gold cube does look like a pain in the butt to clean out. It seems like removable mats would be much easier. 97% recovery of ultra-fines is pretty impressive though.

      I will be posting my Gold Cube review next week and that is one of my nit pick issues. It is a lot easier to clean than I thought it would be considering the mats aren't removable. However it would be much easier if they were.

    Once again are you using a release agent IE jetdry? Did you prep the gold cube correctly with a paint brush to get out all air bubbles from the mat?

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You do not use a surfactant with the gold cube. Since all the gold is suspended under the water it can not float. Yes I release all the trapped air before using, but don't use a paint brush, have my own method.

    Good video as always, thanks. I like the Jimbo's extreme for testing all my new equipment. I am planning to buy a Gold Cube and was wondering how you like your tote stand set up? I have the same tote and use it for my recirculating sluices and was thinking of using it for the Cube as well.

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah Jimbos Extreme is the absolute best paydirt for equipment testing.
      As to my set up I love it. I got the Gold Cube Frame but it is a pain in the butt to setup and use. My tote setup is super easy, a 1'x12" notch out of the lid and the cube fits perfect.

    Great test! Gold cube does pretty good! Did you use your Miller Table to do the final cleaning?

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea gold cube does a great job at only 3% loss of -50 gold is awesome. Nope no miller table, wanted to save that $1.97 worth of gold I might have lost for my next 5yo challenge, lol.

    hay question have you looked in to the Gold Hog multi sluice? do you think it would be a good investment? and that would be a way to test the gold qube vs multi sluice on pay dirt. Have a good day

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am familiar with the gold hog multi Sluice and is a nice piece of equipment. It really depends on what type of material you are mining and what kind of gold you are finding if it is a good investment. If your only finding -50 through -300 you are better off with a cube. Then if you material is really gravely then a multiluice will work better.

    I always run stuff twice anyway. That probably would have caught what you panned out.

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am sure I could keep running the material enough to get the gold cube to catch all the gold, but just doing simple challenges.

    would you recommend this over the gutter sluice you reviewed price wise? will that gutter sluice do just as well?

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You mean this one (amzn.to/2B1L7bY). I really liked the gutter sluice for the price and think it works really well. Plus remember when I do these tests I only run the material once. It would be better to just run the material 3 or 4 times. Unless you are running a ton of material the gold cube will never pay for itself. I ran 5 years of what I couldnt or missed when I panned out all my concentrates and only recovered $2 worth of gold. So will take me about 400 years to recoup the cost at that rate.

    • @ryeguysuppafly
      @ryeguysuppafly 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Dylan. I appreciate that candor. I'll keep my eyes on the gutter sluice for sure.

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Cube is probably the best thing invented for fine gold recovery. Its only weakness is it sucks at larger gold and it takes a lot of flour gold to pay for itself, lol.

    • @JohnnySwedishScrapper
      @JohnnySwedishScrapper 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      hehe well i only use 1/8 " to screen it down, over that i hand pan so i wount miss bigger nuggets or pickets ;) and in sweden its almost only micro gold ;)

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Could I ask how you set up the gold cube on the bucket. It looked like a good recycling system.

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You know I shot a whole video about it because I love how i have this set up. Then I went and lost it! I did a lot of research on setting up a recirculating system for my gold cube and thought they all sucked, lol. So came up with this set up and wanted to show it off. I will reshoot it in a the next week or two and upload it, so make sure your subscribed and look out for it.

      I have used the blue bowl and was never a fan. It is just too finicky for me. As to my setup on the gold cube, I will have the video up this week on my setup, and yes they are home depot totes.

    Dillon, where can I buy a metal gold pan like that?

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have a few different sizes but here amzn.to/2GcJZkU
      Just make sure to dry it fats if you dont want it to rust all up.

    Hey Dylan, I really like the video. It's great to see what the paydirt is like and how well the GoldCube works. Been looking for something to help out with retrieving the fine stuff. Actually for something that will give me a little piece of mind that I'm not missing gold. :-)

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The gold cube is a monster at catching fine gold. I highly recommend if you are going to process lots of dirt.

  • @richardoconnor7162
    @richardoconnor7162 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    still say dufus move to add dirt that has no values in it.

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well you are entitled to your opinion, but running 1lb of material through the gold cube would have been boring.

    • @ferdburphel2076
      @ferdburphel2076 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I say good move. Loads the mats and allows exchange to happen over and over. To me it's more realistic than running 2 cups of pay dirt and not challenging the gold to stay in. Thanks fun video

    Good video, but gold in the gforce separator isn’t discouraging, it’s more awesome proof it’s forcing the gold under water and not blowing it out.

      I am a huge fan of the gold cube. I think it is the best invention for gold recovery in years

    • @OneStudPuppy

      Miller Prospecting agreed, I’ve bought way to much gear as a newbie. I should have just started with a cube! Now I’ve got two and the gold banker. Honestly thinking about selling most of my other gear..

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OneStudPuppy Yeh the only thing the goldcube struggles with it larger gold and heck that's the easy stuff to recover.

    • @OneStudPuppy
      @OneStudPuppy 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Miller Prospecting yup, if someone can’t pan +8 then they could practice more haha. I know I still need to work on my panning but I think I could probably get down to 30 mesh and get it, now of course id pan twice but I am far from a perfect panner.

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OneStudPuppy lol, I hate to say it but the +10 is where I always make mistakes. I cant tell you how many times I watch a big picker go over the side of my pan, lol. I always think, oh its bigger gold I can be more aggressive, then woops, off the side it goes. Yet when I pan out -40 I am slower than molasses.
