I love the fact that the Glow Recipe sponsorship didn't even feel like a sponsored segment! They're just that good. Hopefully the sunscreen will still be in stock on pay day next week so I can try it.
Their sunscreen actually pills according to many reviews
he spent like a couple minutes trying to say how to put it on to keep it from pilling. it's a super finicky sunscreen and please don't waste your money on such a high priced sunscreen that's not even cosmetically elegant.
Having to wait for moisturizer to fully dry or else it pills, he talks about patting it on, not rubbing, or else it pills, gets wonky with facial hair, so pat it on, don't rub. I've seen reviews from a bunch of non sponsored people and the consensus was hella negative, tons of pilling. Save yourself the frustration! there's so many fantastic affordable sunscreens! similar finish and also chemical, Isntree hyaluronic acid watery sun gel is the way to go! it's my HG sunscreen and it's also SPF 50, beautiful dewy finish, no eye sting. under $20. glow recipe is $34!

Minor detail here. Broad spectrum means that the sunscreen protects against both UVB and UVA rays. It's not related to whether it contains organic or inorganic filters.
The strawberry serum cleared up a breakout over night - I love it. As soon as I saw the sunscreen released online I immediately thought of James lubbin’ it!

James X Glow Recipe = 💕 forever! I have to say that those products make your skin look amazing! I tried the guava serum, and sadly it did nothing for my skin 😔. It absorbed perfectly, but I saw no benefit. Not mad, I’m using so many other products that you recommended and my skin has improved significantly over the last three years, so thank you!
I'm 31 years old and for the past month I did not use glow recipe, which I have normally used everyday. My forehead my entire face completely broke out and I've been so used to having clear skin that I was highly upset about it!!! So I went and ordered the new salicylic acid toner and the watermelon aha toner and my skin is already clearing up! I will never go without ever again😆
Keep using it! I didn't start real skin care until my 60s. It shows. Fortunately had good genes so it's not awful.
@@SuperDrLisa I didn't start until I was 35,I got sun damage from never using sunscreen, smoking, not using any kind of skincare other than washing my face,in hot water unfortunately, it takes time but if you're consistent with it , a good skincare routine will pay off

I started using glow recipe products in December and then continued to have THE break out of my life. I do NOT have breakout prone skin, acne does not run in my family and we rarely have oily skins. It only got better after I dropped the blueberry cleanser and incorporated ceraves salicylic acid cleansing gel and moisturizer at night.
But after using them for about four months relatively consistently my skins at a point where it's never looked better. I am SO glad I stuck to using them because they make me go oh, nice, when I look at my reflection.
Glow recipe and I were off to a tough start but they're now my absolute favorites 😭😭💕💕💕

Thanks for the advice on the sunscreen! I've had issues with pilling, and the advice to wait a bit before putting it over moisturizer, and to pat it in, has helped a lot!

I got the strawberry serum and ive been loving it! The SPF didn't work for me tho, it pilled too badly with all the other products I use, but thats the only product from them that hasn't worked for me. I actually finished my 2nd pod of the Plum moisturizer

I have just ordered the Glow Recipe PHA BHA toner after being so sceptical because I have such reactive and rosacea prone skin, however I decided to try it after seeing I you also have rosacea prone skin and their products work amazing for you! Just restocked my Glow Recipe products but was waiting to hear you thoughts on the Strawberry serum - guess I'll have to get that now too! My favourite of theirs is the banana soufflé moisturiser. I'm not sure about the sunscreen as I love the Hello Farmer one but maybe I'll give it a go too. Thanks for introducing me to Glow Recipe James, it's changed my world.

Yes yes yes! I am LOVING this serum! It’s super gentle, and genuinely effective! Also how did they get it to smell saur damn good 😩💕! I will say the sunscreen was not my favorite, I’m really hoping they do an all chemical formula. I’ve missed your AM/PM routine videos!

I just started using the strawberry serum and sunscreen, I love them! So glad I didn't have the pilling problem with the sunscreen.
I have been waiting for the sunscreen review for so long! Personally if my face is not super moisturized, it stings my face 🥲 It’s not greasy for me at all though, it’s borderline drying for me (my skin’s super dry)
I love Glow Recipe and use a few of their products but I have not tried the Strawberry Smooth serum and am psyched to try it. I also really like Deweytree's Hi Amino Cleanser when my face is feeling irritated and red. Thank you for all you do for us! 😘
Absolutely love La Belle Lune Witching Hour! It's my ride or die cleansing balm, after a full day of wearing makeup and a mask at work, it leaves my skin feeling ever so soft and clean! The texture, the smell and the ingredients are divine! What more could you ask for💫💖 plus it lasts sooo long because it goes so far! 👑 Deffo holds the crown for cleansing balms!

Glow Recipe is the absolute best! It works so well for my skin! My favorites are the Plum Plump cream and the Avocado Melt eye mask. And I love that the Guava serum smells like Sanrio erasers 😉
James I’ve been waiting for this! I like to exfoliate during toning step as you do so I wondered how I would fit this Glow Recipe serum into my routine as I knew a) it would be gentle enough for me and b) I would love you - as would you 😉🍓 I also got their sunscreen at launch and adore it! I use LAYERS of skincare and wear makeup and don’t have any issue with pilling or cast but I’m about James’ tone right now. I apply as James does - in sections and allow to dry just as I do any of my many sunscreens. I really love it. Glowy moisturizing. It checks all the boxes for me.

But could you do a video like "Skincare 101 for dummies" where you'd just break it down to the simplest points and products. Maybe splitting it to three+ videos for different skin types, like one for oily, one for combination, one for dry and so on.

I’m super excited to try the glow serum!! I have the sunscreen and it pills no matter how long I wait after moisturizer. It does leave a cast on dark skin but a little powder takes care of it.
I'm so ready for this sunscreen, all of the 50spf I've tried are too greasey and cause pretty bad break outs. I have oily skin, and I know your skin is on the oily side so I'm really excited to try this product! 🤞I really pray this works for me, because I recently started tretinoin and would love to finally use a 50spf that doesnt eff up my skin. Right now I'm having to use 30spf, which is OK, but would prefer to use 50spf while using Tretinoin.

Long story short: I moved and now have well water which has greatly damaged my skin (my at home tests show a high PH)? Regardless, until I can get this fixed, I've been using distilled water to wash with and the Avene Thermal Spring water.... do you have any tips or suggestions for someone taking care of their skin without using tap water?

Loved this!!! The secret sauce in the LRP Rosacea serum is Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester! It's a cool peptide for calming and soothing and help to reduce skin irritation.

so interesting! is there any chance you'd have a recommendation for a cruelty free and vegan alternative to the serum James mentioned? or any product that has this ingredient? the only one I found is a retinol by paula's choice and so far my skin hasn't been loving retinol overall

The glow recipe strawberry serum totally worked on a hormonal breakout I recently had overnight
so I bought both immediately ive been waiting and waiting for the sunscreen. I agree it leaves no cast but it did sting my eyes. the serum is gorgeous but as a dry skinned girl I got it more for my very oily daughter and continue to love my GR Guava C serum each day paired with my face theory azelaic acid. totally agree the toner is the best, the original fat water I couldn't agree more! I love the plum moisturiser and the pink juice, so much. they are both amazing, and my niacinamide dew drops is my ultimate primer. x

Very dry skin using the nicinamide dew drops with good result. Not glowy but skin looking even and smooth. Thanx James. Going to try the sunscreen. 😊

I have the glow recipe sunscreen and I was concerned that it pill up on my skin based on the reviews on Sephora. I have dark skin and I loveeee the glow recipe sunscreen. It doesn’t pull no white cast leaves my skin feeling so soft and leaves a nice glow. Reapplication is a breeze as well. Definitely will repurchase
