I tried the glow screen and had your exact reaction. Handed it off to my 16 year old fair skin blonde daughter who has no skin texture yet and she loves it and it just glows on her. I think that’s the best audience for the stuff and I’ll keep buying it for her to make sure she’s using sunscreen 😂.

I got the GR Primer and couldn't notice a difference at first but over the day my skin was so incredibly soft and smooth, it was insane. Even 10 hours later! And I don't have a really oily skin but I do have a slightly oily t-zone with deep texture issues, not with the primer I did not! It just took some time working its magic but I look forward to wearing it more often and keeping up with its effect on my skin. Some of my favourite products are from GR but every one of their products has been either a 100% hit or miss for me, I'm excited this looks like a new fave

Thank you for reviewing the Super Goop sunscreen! I accidentally bought the tinted version but figured I’d try it anyways. I thought maybe it just looked weird on me, because I’m so pale, I’m practically translucent, and whatever tint it was was just too dark, and brought out that more textured look.

The BHA primer sounds pretty good, although to be honest I think their normal BHA serum and them a proper makeup primer would be more effective, as the BhA primer doesn’t seem to do much in terms of blurring or making makeup last longer.

Glow screen is great to add into other sunscreens to cancel out some chalkiness for less fair skin tones. I also like to add it on top of other sunscreens just to the high points as an extra layer of sun protection and highlight. All over application is not great unless you’re young/flawless or under makeup as suggested.

The Beekman 1802 Milk Shake Hyaluronic Acid & Squalane Facial Toner Mist is also UH-MAZING for depleted, dehydrated, and/or damaged skin. When it’s at that point when even water feels uncomfortable on your face. A bit heavy for the day if you have normal-oily skin but I used it every morning/evening and it literally saved my skin in the winter when I was traveling. It also has one of the best mist defusers I’ve seen. It’s $34 at ULTA & worth every penny and more imo.

I’ve been using the glow recipe blur drops 🍓 for like 1 -1.5 weeks now & like it. Tbh you don’t get that immediate pore “blurring” that you see with like benefit porefessional or something like that but I think it helps control oil under my makeup or just on its own through out the day. I’ve used it both just as a serum and as the last step and it’s so light I honestly can’t tell a difference. I think you have to look at it as SKINCARE that won’t interfere with makeup not necessarily visibly add to overall makeup performance. Some serums and primers pill on the skin but this is literally like nothing is there while still being able to layer the beneficial actives during the day. I think it has helped with a subtle exfoliation of my pores while I used it but would need to use it a bit longer to really tell.

I want that primer so much now. My old favorite (now reformulated and not quite as nice) eye cream, the L'Oreal Age Perfect rosy tone blurring eye cream (now the eye brightener) took about two weeks before I really saw any "blurring" when wearing it. It also had salycylic acid in it and over time I saw improvements in my skin while NOT wearing it, but wearing it was like one of those products that tightens up the skin? It didn't do that, but it looked like I had a filter on in real life LOL
I can't imagine you'd see any MORE benefit from the BHA just because it's in a primer, but what I hate about a lot of BHA products is I just don't like to wear them. All of the products I like with BHA it's a rather low percentage and there's other reasons to use them.

James, I have a question and it’s probably a stupid one. But I have dry skin and exfoliating with products just isn’t enough sometimes.
I live on the East Coast in the states so our weather is extremely unpredictable and my skin suffers because of it.
What is the best exfoliating cloth, sponge, etc. that I can gently use on my face to get the dead skin off? My skin only gets extremely dry every now and then, but I want the option to gently rub the dry skin away.
I’ve tried to do it with the “ blade thingy” and I just didn’t like the feeling or even the idea of it. Your advice would be extremely helpful. Considering almost every single product you have recommended has worked for my skin, you are my go to person when it comes to skincare, and I say that confidently.
I literally listen to you more than my own dermatologist because what you’ve recommended for me has helped my skin more than anything they have recommended. I’ve also learned so much from you and I am so grateful to you and Robert for keeping me informed!

I’m 42 and I have dry, sensitive skin. I always wash with gentle products like Cera Ve, Burts Bees, or Kate Sommerville morn Indians evening, as well as hydrate 2x a day and as an example of the best moisturizer is the old school blue Ponds moisturizer and the gray anti-wrinkle Ponds. Anyway, I use other products as well, but Ponds provides the best moisturizer for my face. Anyway, I’m moving from Las Vegas where it’s dry and the coldest it gets is 5• Fahrenheit . So I’m moving to Wyoming where it gets below -20•Fahrenheit 😮 and it’s a dry cold. My question is, are there any other reasonably priced moisturizers anyone can recommend, (Tatcha is a bit too pricy though I love the way it feels) obviously I love the very thick moisturizers, I know for some ppl it feels greasy, but my skin loves it. I also drink half a gallon of water per day, sometimes more if my workout is long. So, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I love the Supergoop daily dose ceramide oil sunscreen. It’s amazing and doesn’t break me out. My severely dehydrated (no matter what I do/use) loves it, and my makeup looks so much better since I found it. Thanks to Theresa is Dead for that recommendation.

A retinal product that does not irritate my rosacea is the Geek & Gorgeous A-GAME. They do a 5 & 10%. Also the BOJ retinal eye cream is great for the whole face.

Please don't take away that beautiful glow with that primer! So many of your suggestions have changed my skin for the better! When I wear makeup now it doesn't make my pores look enormous as well as that cake face! I know Robert prefers a more matte look but if u could suggest to him to do a review of the only foundation and concealer that I will ever use the Yensa super serum foundation and concealer I would love to see his thoughts. It's an amazing product particularly for dry/mature skin which is me. Thankyou🙏🙏🙏💜🖤💜🖤

I'm very interested in the Caroline Hirons Skin Rocks Retinol because I have sensitive skin but I really can't afford a $80 serum on a regular basis. My skin really likes Selfless by Hyram Retinol and now I'm really enjoying Naturium Retinaldeyhde and both are more affordable for me.

Right that supergoop looks like you’ve applied a really cheap liquid highlighter oh no when you showed it on to phone I was like nooooooo 😅 apparently I’ve heard the elf whoa glow is less glowy and just gives a nice sheen and is 1/4 price definitely give that one a go hun, love this thanks ❤

bluring primers usually use silicones to create an occulsive layer on the skin, so how would the bha get through that and do anything for your pores???? lol - re glow recipe primer

"Usually" is a key word here. You can check the ingredient list of the primer and they clearly state they don't use silicones. 💀 so yeah, bha work in this product

You neeeed to get your hands on the pillowtalk derm, major fade system. Mask/serum/moisturizer. I know they’re only US right now I think : / but get that magic shipping situation going : ) worth it. Please be careful with that glow recipe drops, because on my sensitive skin it did help blur a little, but I could only use for three days without a reaction and the 4th day my skin ended up with what looked like a chemical burn, and a week later my skin is still not the same, so I loved it for the short time I could use it but then that happened.
