I am here for an annual skincare awards 🙌🙌 my best toner/essence has been the Pyungkang Yul. All of my acne has cleared up since adding this in. Hydration is key! 🌟
I've recently finished my first bottle of Pyungkang Yul toner and I love the texture etc., but I figured out it was the culprit for my foundation and sunscreen pilling like a MOFO, an ingredient in the toner just made so many things not sit on my skin and roll up!
I love pyungkang yul. I use the toner alternated with I’m from mugwort essence and have noticed it balances out my skin tone a lot. It’s reduced acne scarring and redness in my cheeks. I think with a toner you sometimes think it’s not really doing anything and maybe it’s just helping my other products perform better but if I stop using this my skin doesn’t look as bright and even.

I'd been wanting to splurge for the longest (idk why I didn't tbh), but the more I heard you talk about them, the more I wanted to try. and now I'm obsessed and it will always be my favorite skincare brand!
@@christopherbird2739 ooofff, that's a tough one. but I'd have to say it's their BHA/PHA pore tight toner. it's a gentle exfoliator, but it's so amazing. but I've tried almost EVERYTHING they have to offer and it's all so damn good. the watermelon sleeping mask is great too. never thought I'd like a sleeping mask, but I wake up and wash it off and it does miracles overnight. breakouts aren't as inflamed and irritated, pores look smaller and my skin just looks glowy and super hydrated/plump after using the sleeping mask! they have full sizes kits/mini-kits. if you're not sure, you could always get a kit that has travel sizes that aren't too expensive before diving in head first and getting all full-sized products. I dove in head first and bought the big full sized kit and luckily I haven't had a single reaction from anything. I have semi-sensitive skin. more so during the winter months. This year, I moved from a very humid climate to a very dry climate, and my regular skincare was not cutting it as far as hydration is concerned. I added in CosRx Snail Mucin serum and it has solved my tight skin woes. I freaking LOVE it. Definitely my favorite from this year.
I don't use the Dual Essence - just the regular one. But AGREED!! What a game-changer! I moved from the Caribbean to FL, which isn't a big deal temperature-wise, but... I didn't used to have central A/C. Which is awesome, but SO DRYING! I mix it w/ the Good Molecules Peptide Serum because I want the peptides, but it's not hydrating enough.

I know this is not your fave product anymore, but I have recently started using the I'm From Rice Toner. I remember you raving about this toner in quite a few of your videos and I really wanted to try it, but it was too expensive for me as a student lol but my amazing friend surprised me and has bought it for me as a gift because she knows how much I love skincare and especially K-Beauty. I have received it about two weeks ago and I love it so much, I instantly fell in love with it!
I just got the glow recipe toner as a gift from a friend for christmas and i’m so excited to use it and see how it works, used it once already and i love the texture and scent of it! and it’s my favourite colour and looks pretty on my vanity
I cleanse, slap on some Paula’s Choice BHA 2%, then Glow Recipe toner, and it’s working well for me. Stopped using cotton pads a while ago once I realised how pointless (and wasteful) it was, and I swear I’m actually using the right amount now.
I find it cute that the products you race the most about in this video by Make contain the prickly pear ingredient. Fun fact: it is basically the National fruit of Mexico. We call them tunas and they are he most refreshing on the summer 😉

For my people with keratosis pilaris. This is what my dermatologist prescribed me to do. Shower in luke warm water. Hot showers will make your skin worse and very dry. You can only shower for 10 mins or less because you’re drying your skin. Only use a mild soap like dove to wash your body. Now afterwards immediately apply a urea cream (I was told to use urea 20 but there’s others like urea 10, it’s over the counter) I got mine for like US $6 then I got medically prescribed lotion. But it’s has 10% salicylic acid and tmc 0.1 % it basically has to lightly exfoliate your skin and moisturize. Maybe the one James said could help. Within a month my skin got so much better and smooth. I still take hot showers and long ones and it does dry my skin out but I find using the lotions helps a lot, and my skin still has improved.
I will say I love the glow recipe toner and I was shocked when James said it has tea tree oil in because I HATE tea tree oil (the smell makes me feel sick and it usually causes irritation for my sensitive skin) but if you're like me and despise tea tree please don't let it stop you from using this toner it's incredible and I've had no bad reactions despite having irritation in the past

Y’all!! I purchased the Cos Rx Propolis Synergy Toner (I believe it was a bronze star product which is great for my bronze star budget 🤪). I LOVE IT!!!!!! This is my first high quality toner. My skin loves it and I feel so moisturized and dewy and juicy which is great for my dry, sometimes flaky skin. I appreciate your Welshies so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I will say when I had melasma if I used tinted sunscreen (with iron oxides to protect from blue light) my melasma wouldn’t get darker but if I didn’t it would darken fast.

I’m glad you said “these products work for me” and that’s something important to understand. See for me, glow recipe watermelon moisturizer does not work for me. I tried it and I could see with in an hour I’ll have pealing spots around my face 😕 I’m glad I tried it tho I’m currently looking for a different moisturizer 🙂
I gave it a go too and it wasn’t for me, far too light in texture for my dry crusty skin! It’s annoying as my skin type is not the same as James’s so not all products he loves will work for me :(
My father had a pretty deep sore on his leg that just wouldn’t heal. The wound care specialist from the hospital used honey to help it heal, and it worked. I was surprised to see it used in a clinical setting associated with a hospital, but that’s where it was.

I just repurchased the PHA + BHA toner from Glow Recipe along with the Hyaluronic clay mask. I decided to try the Blueberry Bounce Gentle cleanser because why not? If I don't like it for my face, it becomes a body cleanser lol.
It scares me that I have a product or 2 in each category, mostly the number 1’s. Testament of how far I have learned from you. Two of holy grails that were never mentioned are Paula’s Choice 2% liquid bha exfoliant and Stratia’s liquid gold.
So happy to see products from Cosrx propolis line. I love this line so much. I discovered two brands in 2021 and they are: Graymelin and Cosrx. Graymelin's best product for me is Graymelin alaska 85 natural toner. It is more than toner. It is soothing, hydrating and effectively smoothing Formulation of this toner is amazing. My love to Cosrx began from their Full Fit propolis toner.
thanks for your video on slugging my dude, i started at the beginning of this week and my skin has been just baby soft when i wake up in the morning. i didn’t want to use vaseline because it is not cruelty free, so i found an alba botanical alternative (its called unpetroleum lol) and it works amazing!! merry christmas and happy new year ✨

Oo fun! My favorite cleanser of the year is the Selfless cleanser, and the Glow Recipe cleansing balm. Favorite toner is for sure the Glow Recipe Watermelon toner, ive gone through multiple🙌🙌 my favorite serums were The Ordinary Niacinamide +Zinc and the Glow Recipe Dew drops for the morning. My favorite moisturizers are The Inkey List Peptide moisturizer, and the new Glow Recipe Plum moisturizer is quickly becoming my favorite, especially for the morning🙌🙌 My favorite mask is the Glow Recipe Watermelon clay mask, I love it so freaking much💝honestly I don't have a favorite SPF, I went through a lot and didn't love any by the time I finished them🤣

I have 3 basics that I use for my troublesome 40 year old combo skin, Herbavore, Biossance, and Laneige. Hello James, you should try Kanebo Allie Extra UV Gel if you haven't. It's a Japanese sunscreen, the texture is super lightweight, it feels hydrating and it has rubbing resistant qualities which is good for wearing mask :) I think you will definitely fall in love with this!

Within a month my skin got so much better and smooth. I still take hot showers and long ones and it does dry my skin out but I find using the lotions helps a lot, and my skin still has improved.

I will say I love the glow recipe toner and I was shocked when James said it has tea tree oil in because I HATE tea tree oil (the smell makes me feel sick and it usually causes irritation for my sensitive skin) but if you're like me and despise tea tree please don't let it stop you from using this toner it's incredible and I've had no bad reactions despite having irritation in the past

My favorite K-beauty bands are Beauty of Joseon and Isntree. And I think they are sooo underrated

Y’all!! I purchased the Cos Rx Propolis Synergy Toner (I believe it was a bronze star product which is great for my bronze star budget 🤪). I LOVE IT!!!!!! This is my first high quality toner. I will say when I had melasma if I used tinted sunscreen (with iron oxides to protect from blue light) my melasma wouldn’t get darker but if I didn’t it would darken fast.

See for me, glow recipe watermelon moisturizer does not work for me.
I tried it and I could see with in an hour I’ll have pealing spots around my face 😕 I’m glad I tried it tho I’m currently looking for a different moisturizer 🙂
I gave it a go too and it wasn’t for me, far too light in texture for my dry crusty skin! It’s annoying as my skin type is not the same as James’s so not all products he loves will work for me :(

I just repurchased the PHA + BHA toner from Glow Recipe along with the Hyaluronic clay mask. I decided to try the Blueberry Bounce Gentle cleanser because why not? If I don't like it for my face, it becomes a body cleanser lol.
It scares me that I have a product or 2 in each category, mostly the number 1’s. Testament of how far I have learned from you. Two of holy grails that were never mentioned are Paula’s Choice 2% liquid bha exfoliant and Stratia’s liquid gold.
So happy to see products from Cosrx propolis line. I love this line so much. I discovered two brands in 2021 and they are: Graymelin and Cosrx. Graymelin's best product for me is Graymelin alaska 85 natural toner. It is more than toner. It is soothing, hydrating and effectively smoothing Formulation of this toner is amazing. My love to Cosrx began from their Full Fit propolis toner.

thanks for your video on slugging my dude, i started at the beginning of this week and my skin has been just baby soft when i wake up in the morning. i didn’t want to use vaseline because it is not cruelty free, so i found an alba botanical alternative (its called unpetroleum lol) and it works amazing!!

I love the Laneige Cream Skin Toner&Moisturizer 2-in-1 formula - a toner/essence/hydrator/moisturiser hybrid. I got it as a tester this summer and It helped me out with “retinoid dryness, redness and peeling” in a matter of days. So.. Oo fun! My favorite cleanser of the year is the Selfless cleanser, and the Glow Recipe cleansing balm. Favorite toner is for sure the Glow Recipe Watermelon toner, ive gone through multiple🙌🙌 my favorite serums were The Ordinary Niacinamide +Zinc and the Glow Recipe Dew drops for the morning. My favorite moisturizers are The Inkey List Peptide moisturizer, and the new Glow Recipe Plum moisturizer is quickly becoming my favorite, especially for the morning🙌🙌
My favorite mask is the Glow Recipe Watermelon clay mask, I love it so freaking much💝honestly I don't have a favorite SPF, I went through a lot and didn't love any by the time I finished them🤣

Hello James, you should try Kanebo Allie Extra UV Gel if you haven't. It's a Japanese sunscreen, the texture is super lightweight, it feels hydrating and it has rubbing resistant qualities which is good for wearing mask :) I think you will definitely fall in love with this!
