is this the 70 dollar version? if so then you defenityl missed the most importartant feature it has. Hall effect sticks. They use magnets instead of potentiometers and will resolve one of the most importatn reasons for stick drift. These sticks wiil most likly never develop drift.
@@senjucam this is only on th 70 dollar version though. not the 24 bluethooth version. also sticks can still drift for different reasons like sofware calibration or dirt on the sonsors. but the likelihood of that happing is slim comparewd to the reason that most sticks will develop drift. the even weirder part is that the dreamcast controller ueded these sticks aswell. The reason that most companies like Nintendo Microsoft and Sony are not using this is not because of the cost. It is because the would sell less controllers if the started implementing this solution and basically resolve stick drift problems. that is why i would pick a controller from 8 bit do over any other controller.
I've kinda moved away from docked play so I just use the Hori pro joycons for handheld play (only because I have sore eyes and have to wear glasses, the oled screen is more comfortable to focus on). Makes my switch feel like a pro controller with a screen in the middle, haha! Plus the re-mappable Z buttons and turbo function is useful :) Also, Charizard.
I feel you on that. Once I got the hori split pad pros, playing docked was a thing of the past but occasionally I like to play it docked. But this controller is a good experience tho.
Hey! Just a test that I feel is worth giving a check but recently, iOS got joycon support and that also extends to switch pro controllers and the switch modes in 8bitdo controllers as well. If you could give those a try and see if it connects while in switch mode, that would be good :))
Man my only con with this controller is that I feel like the grips are a little short and narrow for my hands but everything else on it is damn near perfect.
The $70 Bluetooth one doesn’t work on the steam deck… at all… or android… or really anything else other than windows & switch. It’s a great controller but analog triggers are USELESS one the switch. They don’t register as gradual presses like they would on windows. You can’t do any serious gaming on the switch like you can on the steam deck or windows… all these extra bells and whistles for it to only work on 2 platforms… definitely not worth it at all
@@senjucam every other controller they have works on a steam deck, all you need to do is switch it from D input to X-input. Why not make Bluetooth both X and D input like the Pro 2 is? I bought the ultimate because I HATE how the Pro 2 is
Hey man if there’s anyway u can add me in the giveaway let me know I can’t use any social media !TH-cam is all I’m allowed to use. I have to sell all my gaming equipment because my gf is going thru a hard time with our unborn child and all I use now is a ds and a switch oled so if there’s anyway I can win please lmk bro ! Thanks and god bless
Definitely getting mine tomorrow !!

Did not know this. Thank you for this info! Not having joycon drift is a great thing

Nice review, Cameren! I'm thinking of picking this one up. I heard that the D-pad on the 8bitdo controllers is superior to the Switch Pro controller.
I don’t know about superior but they do feel good!
@@senjucam Gotcha! Do you remember the Wii U Pro Controller? That was my probably my favorite traditional controller in the last decade or so.

Nice review! But change your smoke detector batteries lol

They are a little short not gonna lie but the grip still feels good. Hopefully they’re good for you

They definitely could’ve added more to the controller and not have 3 different versions but of course they need to make their money lol
