    39:09 - 42:28 this is so nice to go back to after Jasmin finishing this year and with a bit of help from Jared himself who since 7 years ago really wanted a woman to finish.

    amazing video. I'm not really a runner but I'm fascinated by the Barkley and the runners. This is one of the best videos I've seen in a while.

    I was so inspired by Jared's mental strategies. Can't wait to try them out in everyday life

    Three time...finisher. *Finisher*. This man is ninja, and so under-the-radar. Magic.

    I met Jared on top of mt Whitney in the fall of 2014. It was about 11pm. I was the only one up there until He and another guy ran up. He said he had run a little over a marathon in death valley earlier that day. While the three of us hung out in the hut on the summit for a little while I kept asking him where I knew him from because he looked really familiar. I didn't realize it until a couple days later it was from a video my friend had shown me about the barkley race. Little did I know how much of a champion he is. He didn't mention any of his accomplishments although his friend hinted at it. Really nice guy.

    Thank you for this enlightening interview! Are you making a race documentary to share as well? Would love to see some in camp footage

      +Tyler Ham I think Ethan said in a previous interview that he would let Laz review a final video product before it was released to maintain the integrity of the race. So any documentary video could take a while to be released. I'm looking forward to it though, if/when it happens.

    Like a tough mudder... classic! This trumps the 24 hour worlds toughest mudder too. Two completely different worlds.

      +Mike Trask Yeah, this is NOTHING like a tough mudder, haha. Not even the Agoge 60 compares. No question.

    For gluten-free stuff, both Whole Foods and Trader Joe's have stores just under an hour (one way) from Frozen Head. They're not next door, but not a bad drive. If you're flying into TYS (Knoxville) instead of BNA (Nashville), they're barely out of the way.

    Just interested as to why the ginger runner says he can't contemplate all of this? As in ever doing the race. Why not?

    • @TheGingerRunner
      @TheGingerRunner  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No desire. I have no desire to be lost in the woods for days. That's not "fun" for me.

    • @DJItchyBoo
      @DJItchyBoo 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair enough. In that case I'm surprised at how into the race you are!
