This is a gem. As someone who has gone through a NDE myself and was on bed rest for 8 months, i will never, ever take for granted the ability to be physically active. You don’t know what you got until it’s gone.
What an amazing gift as we turn the year. Harvey is truly one of the worlds great athletes- the mental strength that he has had to continually improve and endure through pain is inspirational. In his words he wasn’t a great runner as he started but through work he tapped into his potential. Nick does a great job in the interview. What is possible for each of us? Much more than we typically believe. Hope Harvey comes back on after the Barkley.
World class athlete and so down to earth and relatable to the common folks in the running community. In addition, he’s from my hometown near Cleveland and I’ve ran his training routes when he lived here.
You are a great podcaster Nick! Respectful, knowledgeable, you let the guest speak, but at the same time enhance the flow of dialogue with your questions and remarks. It's a rare skill. Thank you so much for this video, I enjoyed it.
Woo! Harvey Lewis has to be one of my greatest sources of inspiration, along with Courtney Dauwalter. It's just the general outlook on life and the positive 'go for it' attitude that really get me going from day to day. And I'm not some super-high-achieving athlete, but it's enough to get yourself out for your chair and go out for a walk, which might turn into a run, which might be then 10k long and totally spontaneous. It really is contagious energy and I'm so glad that we're able to live in a time where these ideas are so easily spread throughout the world. Anyways, thanks a hundred times for sharing these stories from such amazing people. I'll go out for a bit and then I'll finish the rest of the podcast. :)
Thank you Nick for all the amazing content you provide us. the way you get people to open up is truly incredible, and it just goes to show the amount of respect your peers have for you. ❤❤🙌🙌
